StopLooking Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Oh yah , I update It as you request , BTW if any one prefereed the NET 1.1 , 2.0 3.0 , 4.0 , 4.5 , as place holder for the 4.6 I think, maybe it is good enough for windows xp users becuase the 4.6 not work on the xp .another thing, I'm thinking on reduce some of this runtime till feature package I need to focus on the basic run timeas much is so important for the users from the other extra runtime . :g: Edited March 12, 2015 by StopLooking Quote
bphlpt Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 AFAIK, 4.5 does not work on XP either. I think that 4.0 is the last one that works in XP [ OT ]Please do not bold everything you post. It's impolite board posting.[ /OT ] Cheers and Regards StopLooking 1 Quote
StopLooking Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 Edited , So you agree addin this as important for xp users , or just made abranch pack that a specially for xp . Quote
bphlpt Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Well, I know there are users who only add the minimal versions of .NET that they absolutely have to have - none if they can get away with it. But for users that are likely to use an AIO pack like this one, I would think that they are more likely to install all runtimes they can find so they will be ready for any app or file they run across. So yes I think it's probably appropriate to include all the versions of .NET that are appropriate for the OS involved. At least that's my opinion. I hope others will post if they feel differently. If so, then you might consider either multiple versions, or making it an option. Cheers and Regards Quote
oguz Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Hi StopLooking,İ think it will be better to remove xp support. The pack should support only xindows 7,8, 8.1, x86-x64 bit. Xp is already dead since Microsoft ended its official support. Quote

Welcome oguz ,Me too thinks so , but there are many people still using xp till now , by defualt most of this work properly on xp except runtime like 4.6that not support on xp , but may I cahnge the setting to work only in 7 and above . bphlpt Posted March 13, 2015 Posted March 13, 2015 Any one could provide some info about check the previous version to skip duplicate installtion , You might want to check this out - atmzzrSystemCheck v2.6 [Check installed runtimes versions] - I don't think it's currently compatible with Win10, but you might could work with automizzer to make the two apps be in sync. As an off-the-wall thought, you might also think about making a companion "Runtime Removal" app, as a way to help clean up problem installations before running your installation app. Just an idea. I would also urge you to work with the other app makers here to help you make your AIO app smaller. I was surprised to see it is as large as it currently is. For those wanting/needing a smaller solution, they are able to put one together themselves using existing repacks available elsewhere here on the board. There are conveniences to having an AIO, but many would rather have a smaller solution. As a final observation, with the combination of runtimes in this app, and since each of them are updated frequently on a non-coordinated schedule, you are most likely going to be pestered constantly to keep this AIO up to date. niTe_RiDeR_Pr0 Posted March 14, 2015 Posted March 14, 2015 Hey, here is the best way to compress in inno: Add the following compression configuration in the [setup] section of inno script: Compression=lzma2/ultra64InternalCompressLevel=ultraThis may not make much difference, but it will be a few MBs smaller..Or use my Adobe AiO instead of separately adding Adobe AIR, FlashPlayer & Shockwave (the shockwave msi is used & this much smaller(even smaller than ricktendo's), because the msi was repacked by me) Cheers & Regards.
