    ok just a heads up for the folowing few weeks;

    1st im looking to sorta finalize XPtsp to 1.1final.of course thers always work to be done but i think that seing the approach of win 7 it is only logical for us to start an XPtsp se7en theme.

    2nd,Mr.Fixit is working on a blue theme for XPtsp.So some time this week im thinking its gonna be ready.as stated earlier im thinking of finalizing normal(sorta green theme/vista theme)XPtsp by to night.

    also;i allready have a few resources directly from win7 courtesy of biodigitzman who kindly uploaded them.

    anyone got an idea what can break the plus themes: "Error Loading" when using rick's mc addon and then xptsp

    can it be a *.res or a file replacement that can cause this ?

    well it depends, are you using xptsp normaly or r u passign it thru something else?cause its supposed to work perfectly.im using ricks mce addon and when patching it with xptsp after results are good.

    Great job, but I found a few items missing.

    There's a missing resource for sysdm.cpl (bmp 8, took from xpsp2res.dll).

    There's a missing resource for themeui.dll (bmp 8886, took from shell32)

    All the bmps in timedate.cpl have Russian text.

    Also, I miss the animated vista'ish file copy/delete etc.

    umm i cant say the resources i have right now are reflecting the problems you mention. avis havint ben changed for a while the timedate.cpl is all in usa,i cant see any missing sysdm.cpl & themeui.dll bitmaps at all.

    Incoming Newb question..........where are the ".avi" files supposed to be placed....I've extracted and looked in "Extra, Programs & Resources"

    Any idea why they were removed?.....just curious.

    you have to open a .res file that contains avi object and replace the matching avis with a resource editing program like resource hacker included in the programms folder.

    are the files in extra\ trivial to all xp versions, and the ones in home\ and mc\ specific ?

    when using rick mc addon In my script I moved the extra files form extra\ to I386 and the ones from extra\mce\ on top so is that ok ..?

    i got to test this with my script on with rick's mc_addon but had problems with plus themes errors

    so im not so sure what is the cause..

    what are these for :win2k ?

    yes and no,the files in root of extra are files to be replaced(res files are kept seperate).files that ure used by all xp versions and are the same are; the audio wave files, the bmps and the .msc files. and if you do a compaire of the different files you will see that there are files that are the same to the root of extras(wich are xp pro files), and are also found in mce dir and home dir. so No do not copy over ontop cause you will loose the xp version specific file patching. the way the folders are seperated should not be changed.

    no they are even found in win home, they are the different snapins that you can find in computer management.

    if you you check in the batch file near the end you will find comented sections witch are appliyed to xp specific versions. by default xp pro is assumed,so only after the coping/patching or re-patching of files are made depeding on the version of xp the script finds after wards.

    damn nice! im gonna use the 1st one as it seems 'neutral' we cant say if its ati or nvidia.

    im happy you made 1 cause im programming something for monday at school and its the dead line.so i havitn had time to fiddle around with the previous plugin you posted.

    :sweatingbullets: Y'all sure have had a lot of discussion since I left! :thumbsup_anim: I've read many of the posts since my last post and, I'm like, wow, y'all done a lot of work to this project! I'm impressed (and amazed!)

    I've posted GUI beta 21. I've updated resources to match batch beta 21, and I've added some code to dynamically build the list of files to patch based on the files in the source folder. This will allow us to add files to the main group of files to edit without having to edit the INI file every time.

    I've also updated the changelog for the GUI on my website, as well as fixed a bunch of other stuff. I'll include the latest Drive Space Indicator in the next release.

    yeah, all those new green folders amnesia is posting are jsut greate!

    and thoses green toolbar icons are also looking greate amnesia!

    also;

    what do you guys think about the shortcut arrow,should it be included,should i remove the grey square around it?does it look like crap?lol

    thx madmax, ill wait b4 a bit b4 including them.

    amnesia about shell32.dll icon 46,isint that the search folder icon? i cheked with the original and its a folder with a magnifing glass.

    also int he video properties,ive always hated the video card int he picture, not to mention its upsides down! lol.i made one but i cant do the mirroring effect(i only used paint dot net,so i dont realy have the tools to edit the picture,but i still have all the pics i used)

    (yeah im an nvidia fan ;) )

    also, mr fixit over at ryans forum found a couple of typoes i amde in the batch when adding a couple of new resources,ill reupload to night as its pretty problematic.

    well youll have to set each resouces' lang id to french france and translate or copy over the matching fr strings,plus some bitmaps will have to be edited, and some avis too.

    i can change the ids for ya to france but the rest youll have to do it.
