  1. I'll explain via pm. LE: BTW Lego, maybe you'll explain through a in-built in WinToolkit notification visible only to donators what to do in case problems occur with those files on the server. Just another bright idea from my part...
  2. Nope, as you can see here it's a x86 system with probably tskill where it's supposed to be. Right? Anyway, hoping someone else will confirm / infirm this.
  3. I don't think Lego will like very much you've posted that. However, thanks, now I know what the fuss is about beeing a donator... LE: I hope that someone doesn't get me wrong. I will like very much at some point (when I'll have a paypal account) to donate to a great programmer that keeps a fantastic tool up-to-date.
  4. Both when trying to uninstall the previous version integrated via WinToolkit, and also when trying to install the latest version on a live system via the inf file, this error appears. Is it happening to others or only for me? You can confirm / infirm by trying to unistall the app - this error appears before uninstalling begins.
  5. Wouldn't just making all the trash folder public be simpler than scanning through it and deciding which has valuable information and which not? In any case, they're closed, so no harm can be done if they're public, right?
  6. This is not very important from my point of view, however the two ideas mentioned above are. Please NIM also take a look on the second one quoted below and give me your opinion.
  7. Sorry to be a little offtopic, but shouldn't all people who contribute to your app be somehow recognised alongside donators? I have two ideas: 1. The same as AS SSD benchmark tool (see the About tab in the app), to have a tab with the name of donators, and in the same tab another list with beta testers / feature ''proposers''. 2. Make the trash forum with the deleted and closed threads public - already discussed here. Please Lego also discuss this with NIM. Otherwise only donators will be really motivated to ''contribute'' to your app. All other people who contribute in other ways than with money won't.
  8. Yes, please update, and please pre-check the new option to stop looking by default for updates. Very annoying...
  9. @Adrian Luca Salut! You can find what you want inside the cabs from here, except the managed directx, needed from what I remember only for xp, it was replaced by XNA for game devs. @ ricktendo Is there any reason to prefer to install the ''official'' (repacked) build instead of the lite yumeyao version? Thanks.
  10. Bump - is this harder to implement than I've thought, Lego? Thanks.
  11. Ok, thanks. So, as usual, 1.5 will include all the bugfixes and also new requests / features added. Cool!
  12. That issue is now fixed, compstuff, no? Lego, so the latest version is now on the 1.4 numbering scheme? It's confusing... 1.5 just got final, but named 1.4?
  13. Already discussed in some thread, there is an option named Update Catalog Filter in v39, that when unchecked, loads all the files on the server, not only .msu, .cab and .msp. I think the current implementation is just great, it's satisfying everyone.
  14. Thank you very much for all the info. Much appreciated! About RegFromApp, I don't know when you've used it last time, I find it to be more ''precise'' when it comes to registry - all I wanted was the reg entries modified by a certain app. To make a comparison, I think that for my goal, RegFromApp is much like some tweezers, while RegShot is like a shovel. I'll be back with the finished custom installer, hope you won't mind I'll post it in this thread - maybe I'll need some further advice.
  15. First of all thank you for the reply and sorry for my late feedback. I had very little spare time lately. About some tools - I don't make a hobby out of making custom installers, so no, I'm unfamiliar probably with many tool that you are. However, I'm familiar with other, that maybe will help in this case. For example RegFromApp, which I think it's superior to RegShot that everyone seems to be using. In this case, the thing I wanted are done through registry, to be more specific the following one: When I said... ... everything is contained by that registry entries I posted, so the idea of yours to not run the Virtual Clone Drive service may be unfortunate, I think it's more elegant to only disable it from the program's options through the mentioned "ShowTrayIcon"=dword:00000000 reg entry. But thanks for the idea, I apreciate it, and maybe you could help me in making things easier for me (I only try to make custom .7z installers when there are no other publicly available alternatives) by answering this two questions: 1. I add that .reg entries by making it first an .exe file through Reg2exe, and then running the reg.exe through the .7z config file. Can you think of a more elegant and transparent solutions in this case (with many .reg entries)? 2. Do you know why SFXMaker isn't compatible with for example the following .7z installer .config file? I'm forced to use 7z SFX Builder, that is compatible with it... I though that maybe I was using smth wrong in that entries, although, once again, it's fully compatible with 7z SFX Builder. Do you have a better solution, other than 7z SFX Builder and SFXMaker?
  16. Sorry ricktendo for insisting, but I really hope that at some point you'll have time to solve my request. And thank you for the great work.
  17. Great work! Thanks. I want to have a custom installer installer as described here, and I've found out the needed .reg entries. My ''question'' is this - do you want me to give you the .reg entries and please make another custom .7z installer, or can you please give me / post here the contents of the config / .bat for your current .7z installer (I see there's also a .cert file in there, probably signing the driver)? Oh, and BTW - the current (and probably the last version of Virtual CloneDrive - I don't think we'll see updates for it) isn't fully compatible with windows 8 - it doesn't mount image files from network drives. Maybe it would be a good idea to mention this in the first post.
  18. Right now Win Toolkit integrates IE first, prior to any other update. I don't know why Lego chosed this, probably due to a request, but I don't remeber the reson for it. Maybe because people also integrate language packs for IE... dont know. If you are correct, then when IE10 final build (and its .msu) will be out (hopefully next month) Lego will have to change this behaviour and implement a more elegant solution.
  19. You can get it from here. Remeber it's NOT a final version (a post-beta / RC version)! I installed it on top of a Win Toolkit processed image, with IE9 preinstalled, and everything seems fine. Seems faster than IE9, and also it doesn't have flash included as the windows 8 version.
  20. Yes, it's down for the moment, only non-update small files are present. The reason - see here.
  21. In test 38, when the filter is disabled, McRip's servers still have it (only cab and msu are shown). Also, please take a look here. Also, how about changing the description of the option with another sentence: ''The unfiltered results are useful for advanced users familiar with the contents of those servers''. LE: That filter shows all the folders on those servers? My request was to hide some not integratable files, however advanced users may need those. This was also the request here, to show not only other files than .msu and .cab, but also to not block some folders.
  22. After the new update filter was implemented, this can be easily solved by removing from the filtered results the DVD folder from komm's server.
  23. @cs76 Take a look at this topic. It's a Win Toolkit error after integrating KB2592687 and KB2574819 updates. Move those two updates in the silent installer section, and this error won't happen. And make sure you don't integrate them under Updates in AIO! @Zeus_ Use this addon from yumeyao & ricktendo for xp - look at the post in the middle with links (aug 2012). vc++ 2012 also is not compatible with xp from my knowledge.
  24. Yes, I agree. Also, this is not a request, it's more of a perplexity. I'm a member on many forums, and never heard of threads beeing deleted unless violent langage, flaming etc
