  1. The Latitude 7290 has an Intel 7th Generation Processor. Intel and Microsoft (and hence Dell) only support Windows 7 on up to 6th Generation Processors so there will be no ISO for that model. https://www.dell.com/support/article/uk/en/ukbsdt1/sln300777/dell-support-for-windows-7-and-8-1-on-the-skylake-chipset?lang=en Note Windows 7 reaches End of Life next month.
  2. As I said the systems shipped with a Dell Windows Vista "Edition" Reinstallation DVD, Dell did not provide a ISO file to Download. In any case the Operating System Reached End of Life 2 years ago and is no longer supported by Microsoft. All systems Dell sold with Windows Vista are over a decade old and long past the system's warranty period so not supported by Dell either... These 2006-2009 models should run Windows 10 32 Bit without an issue. At this stage running Windows 10 32 Bit even unlicensed without a Product Key is more functional (even with all the personalisation options greyed out) and more secure than running Windows Vista 32 Bit.
  3. The Windows 10 Version 1903 Media Creation Tool gave Windows 10 Version 1809 V2 ISOs and not Version 1903 ISOs. Microsoft have removed it now.
  4. The Direct Link to the 1903 Media Creation Tool is released: https://software-download.microsoft.com/download/pr/MediaCreationTool1903.exe The Landing Page for the Media Creation Tool hasn't been updated yet: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/
  5. Thanks, I've fixed that error. There is a Dell Windows 7 Reinstallation ISO for China but I don't know if it supports the other Asian languages. I haven't done much testing with it.
  6. The ISOs I mentioned above are unmodified and listed using the Windows ISO Download Tool. They contain all the languages listed above (note they do not contain English UK). I would personally recommend using Microsoft's Windows 10 ISO over the Dell Windows 10 ISO.
  7. Okay no worries, thanks for trying. It is easy enough to modify the USB to maintain the OEM SLP. I have been working on guides involving the Dell ISOs and have created in depth written guides and video instructions for Downloading the ISO and making a Bootable USB: Download Dell Windows 7 Pro Multi-Lingual ISO (Media Refresh January 2016) from Dell and Make a Bootable USB Put together a list of the ISO checksums and details (still working on it), Dell OS Recovery Tool ISO Checksums Made a slipstream script with DISM to bring them up to Media Refresh March 2019. The 32 Bit guide needs a bit of work still as I've mainly been focusing on the 64 Bit guide: [64 Bit] Slipstream Updates (Media Refresh March 2019) and Drivers to the Dell Windows 7 Pro Bootable USB [32 Bit] Slipstreaming Updates (Media Refresh March 2019) and Drivers to the Dell Windows 7 Pro Bootable USB Converting the Edition from Dell Windows 7 Pro to Dell Windows 7 Home Premium. This conversion maintains Dell OEM SLP: Convert Dell Windows 7 Pro Bootable USB to another Edition e.g. Dell Windows 7 Home Premium Removing all Dell OEM customisation to make a Microsoft Multi-Lingual, Multi-Edition Bootable USB for all other Retail and OEM Licenses. Instructs are also provided to provide OEM SLP for the other OEMs: Convert Dell Windows 7 Pro Multi-Lingual Dell Bootable USB to a Microsoft Multi-Lingual, Multi-Edition Retail or non-Dell USB (Covering all Retail and non-Dell OEM Licenses) Finally converting the Slipstreamed Bootable USB back into an ISO for use with VMware: Convert Updated Bootable USB to a ISO These set of guides should cover almost all languages and all editions of Windows 7 for both OEM and Retail licenses.
  8. The Windows ISO Download Tool has an EI.cfg removal utility... For the Dell Windows 7 ISOS this breaks OEM SLP. Could the EI.cfg removal be updated to change the EI.cfg in the sources folder as well as the slp.cmd file found in D:\sources\$$\$OEM\setup\scripts The EI.cfg file should have the options: Starter: starter Home Basic: homebasic Home Premium: homepremium Professional: professional Ultimate: ultimate The slp.cmd contains the 25 digit OEM SLP key: Starter: 36T88-RT7C6-R38TQ-RV8M9-WWTCY Home Basic: 36Q3Y-BBT84-MGJ3H-FT7VD-FG72J Home Premium: 6RBBT-F8VPQ-QCPVQ-KHRB8-RMV82 Professional: 32KD2-K9CTF-M3DJT-4J3WC-733WD Ultimate: 342DG-6YJR8-X92GV-V7DCV-P4K27 I spent some time working on this: https://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/converting-a-dell-windows-7-professional-reinstallation-usb-to-another-edition/ It works when the user manually changes these files on USB via NotePad++. Also when loading the Dell ISO via the ISO Tools, the SHA1 is not recognised even though the tool has this on the Download section when the ISO download is selected.
  9. Okay so we have the following which are Version 1809. They should be the first ISOs listed in the Windows ISO Download Tool when a XPS 13 9360 is selected for Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Home respectively. Details from: dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:E:\sources\install.esd /index:1 201YYA02_Win10x64ROW_home MD5: e573698894c91515c81a23a46f917a36 Name : Windows 10 Home WIM Bootable : No Architecture : x64 Version : 10.0.17763 (Version 1809) Created 06 Feb 2019 Languages : ar-SA cs-CZ da-DK de-DE el-GR en-US (Default) es-ES fi-FI fr-FR he-IL hu-HU it-IT nb-NO nl-NL pl-PL pt-BR pt-PT ro-RO ru-RU sk-SK sl-SI sv-SE tr-TR uk-UA MVGG5A02_W10x64ROW_pro MD5: b902f1e6a9fee597e8416f11ab3b2be7 Name : Windows 10 Pro Architecture : x64 Version : 10.0.17763 (Version 1809) Created 06 Feb 2019 Languages : ar-SA cs-CZ da-DK de-DE el-GR en-US (Default) es-ES fi-FI fr-FR he-IL hu-HU it-IT nb-NO nl-NL pl-PL pt-BR pt-PT ro-RO ru-RU sk-SK sl-SI sv-SE tr-TR
  10. Dell never provided a ISO for Windows XP or Windows Vista (each system shipped with a CD or DVD) and will be unlikely to do so as the Operating Systems are End of Life. Microsoft also removed the setup files for Windows Vista which it had available. For Windows 10, Dell doesn't state the Build or Version of Windows 10 in the Dell OS Recovery Tool... For an XPS 9365 a Windows 10 Pro 5.55 GB ISO is offered. For an XPS 9365 Windows 10 Home 5.59 GB ISO is offered. Both offer a 651 MB OS Recovery Assistant Image (I've never used this). An OptiPlex 7060 with Windows 10 Pro also has a 5.55 GB ISO so I assume it is the same image. These are systems form last year but still being sold. An OptiPlex 7040 gives Windows 10 Pro with a 5.55 GB ISO. I can download these at home later to test and determine the build.
  11. It could be useful to add these to the tool especially if they have older versions of Windows 10 stored on their server: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/tools/vms/
  12. I created a Windows 7 Update Slipstream Script to update the boot.wim and install.wim in the Windows 7 USB with the USB 3.0 Drivers and Storage Controllers and the install.wim with the NVMe Hotfixes, Convenience Rollup, IE11 and the Latest Security Rollup. I see the Windows ISO Download Tool - "ISOs Tools" section has the EI.cfg removal. Is there any chance it could automate this procedure, downloading all the Updates in the Background and then carrying out the slipstream? 64 Bit Dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:C:\boot.wim Dism 13. I don't think Microsoft will Update their Windows ISOs. The Windows 7 ISO haven't been updated since 21st November 2010. I just spent quite a bit of time writing a guide to bring the Bootable USB up to date using DISM. It is unlikely for them to Update the Windows 8.1 ISOs and for Windows 10 they will just release a totally new Build.
  14. I guess it could be done by downloading all the ISOs and checking them with Rufus but it may be too much of an undertaking to do for all the images your Download Tool offers.
  15. Great work! I didn't know there was a Home Basic ISO. At one time someone told me there was a Home Premium ISO but I never managed to find it. I like your updated UI with the SHA256 at the bottom. It may be far easier said than done but it would be useful if you had that for the Microsoft Downloads also.
  16. Great thanks. You have the 2 Windows 7 Pro (64 Bit and 32 Bit) that we've found offered for most models. I tested it last night: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLUNd9tdelQ Some users commented that they got different ISOs with the following Service Tags. The Latitude E7250 ISO is slightly larger, I'm not sure if it offers additional drivers, I don't have that model to test with... The Precision T1700 ISO is from 2011. I'm not sure why this is, but it may be useful to have this ISO. I've had reports by some people saying the newer ISO didn't work on their system (but it's worked on all systems I tested it with). Latitude E7250 Service Tag: 9C03J72 (January 2016) - gives V24C6_GGFY7A00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW.iso Precision T1700 Service Tag 4W7C132 (November 2011) - gives N87PW_X00-00_D0V2KA00_7601_W7SP1_PROFESSIONAL64_RTM_DELL(DL)_.iso V24C6_GGFY7A00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW.iso (7,521,254 KB): MD5: 4da7a972664e6db1091d7c5959d2b94a SHA1: f0cdd94c0aa2a28bc48c82b65c83ac24e5c6fc52 SHA256: cc1a650e9fac2f89ffd68f64a272203fd7581e66c729a7e8a89bcbcfb4d7b101 N87PW_X00-00_D0V2KA00_7601_W7SP1_PROFESSIONAL64_RTM_DELL(DL)_.iso (5,488,294 KB) MD5: bcd068249a4d00e124a0c2c597da42d7 SHA1: 10529a3a46bf8cb917e317512640e6846e1c3f16 SHA256: 0510cec214db80ce811040daebd7e2e494290e87d2afd8f0c0cfffb49a59fa27
  17. In the meantime one can use the Dell OS Recovery Tool to Download a Windows 7 Pro OEM .iso: http://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsdt1/drivers/osiso/recoverytool/ This Tool can be ran on a non-Dell system provided that a Dell Service Tag is input. There seems to be no limitations on how many times a Service Tag is input: 5KR9DC2 - Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit 7GXLCS1 - Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit This is a multi-lingual .iso so can be used for all languages and with some minor workarounds can be used for all OEM and Retail Licenses. The Windows 7 Pro Edition has been updated until January 2016 and unlike Microsoft's 2010 .iso contains IE11, USB 3 drivers and Storage Controller drivers for up to 6th generation Intel Skylake Systems but only for the Pro Edition making it far superior to Microsoft's 2010 Installation Media. The .iso Installation .iso checksums are here: G13K9_PW4KGA00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW(DL).iso (7,404,138 KB): MD5: d363f535afae79139fe8632702613ffb SHA1: f52615d64ebe9b7c7aeb754746356bc3a052c415 SHA256: 2bfa2ebbee84804c8e643bf829644e6c5ef373e63bdeae3a6ac927d371f4c0d0 MT5KY_N6N9GA00_W7SP1PRO32_ROW(DL).iso (5,715,252 KB): MD5: 488ae6c2a7e587e87c12101fde083458 SHA1: c36a77d3dbbe1d248a04a496e2f88ab268ff6ce9 SHA256: b33b6b5a5c98ad33729741b2f2fe4c74bc7a8677f7c13d0c4966fd9ae5ed2c14 Full Details of the Dell Skylake .iso and the necessary workarounds required for all OEM and Retail licenses are available here: http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/download-dell-skylake-windows-7/
  18. You need to make up to date installation media with storage controllers, NVMe and USB 3.0 support. I demonstrate the procedure here: Note you may want to add the Samsung drivers to the Drivers folder (assuming the are extracted properly i.e. are not .exes).
  19. Use the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10 The Windows 10 .iso created by the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool is multi-Edition and contains the European Commission N Editions. The multi-Edition .iso contains the following: Windows 10 S Windows 10 S N Windows 10 Home Windows 10 Home N Windows 10 Home Single Language Windows 10 Education Windows 10 Education N Windows 10 Pro Windows 10 Pro N
  20. I believe this was an issue with the preinstalled Intel Management Engine Interface driver. This driver has been updated in Windows 10 Version 1709.
  21. The Windows 10 Media Creation Tool has been updated...
  22. Okay so I have a list of Service Tags and they essentially have 3 Downloads... 2DF4FA00_W10x64ROW_pro(DL)_v3.iso (6,687,824 KB) otherwise known as the Dell Windows 10 Professional 64 Bit 10586 (TH2) Recovery Drive .iso: MD5: 55e87e9226cc9976e90057fd97be32fd SHA1: 3d1e231bd417c5c3b8264925e2b949dda9859644 SHA256: 0d77d4b01029f8d57521dce669c8734fde7f77227c0ef33a85ef866e1e2c0d49 9663HA00_W10x64ROW_home(DL)_v3.iso (6,675,846 KB) otherwise known as the Dell Windows 10 Home 64 Bit 10586 (TH2) Recovery Drive .iso: MD5: a957adfce491131aa4667ed185d0fe00 SHA1: 4bd8822997919da4b80a55933958b731675e4773 SHA256: 63c040fc748f1a9bdd889004e3c6b7a828ba525c6f594f453968448c3e8c22ac G13K9_PW4KGA00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW(DL).iso (7,404,138 KB) otherwise known as the Dell Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit Multi-Language January 2016 Skylake .iso MD5: d363f535afae79139fe8632702613ffb SHA1: f52615d64ebe9b7c7aeb754746356bc3a052c415 SHA256: 2bfa2ebbee84804c8e643bf829644e6c5ef373e63bdeae3a6ac927d371f4c0d0 This was available in the past (for US Service Tags) but looks to be superseded in all cases for the multi-lingual one: WGC5Y_2FR1DA00_W7SP1PRO64_ENG.iso (4,662,522 KB) otherwise known as the Dell Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit English Only January 2016 Skylake .iso MD5: c3bf0b9562a9bd9db7b8600163ff9e33 SHA1: 2785cf6a322ecc5979b1a6a179e4e797d5d64d25 SHA256: a91d80ba6d937069c113961abe1b08771a0961b2daf23d69d0c795bea3d22291 In my opinion the Windows 7 Pro OEM Reinstallation .iso G13K9_PW4KGA00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW(DL).iso is the only useful download here. The Windows 10 .isos are all obsolete (TH2) and are more akin to Recovery Drives than proper Windows 10 Installation Media. 2W4N082 - XPS8900 (UK) 9633HA00_W10x64ROW_HOME(DL)_v3.iso (Windows 10 HOME TH2) 46T3K72 - XPS 9350 (UK) 9633HA00_W10x64ROW_HOME(DL)_v3.iso (Windows 10 HOME TH2) 6KGQFC2 - Alienware 13 R2 (Australia) 9633HA00_W10x64ROW_HOME(DL)_v3.iso (Windows 10 HOME TH2) JZ5MJC2 - Latitude E7270 (UK) 2DF4FA00_W10x64ROW_pro(DL)_v3.iso (Windows 10 PRO TH2) G13K9_PW4KGA00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW(DL).iso (Windows 7 Pro January 2016) 8DPRJ72 Latitude E7270 (USA) 2DF4FA00_W10x64ROW_pro(DL)_v3.iso (Windows 10 PRO TH2) G13K9_PW4KGA00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW(DL).iso (Windows 7 Pro January 2016) 7SXYDC2 - Latitude E7270 (India) 2DF4FA00_W10x64ROW_pro(DL)_v3.iso (Windows 10 PRO TH2) G13K9_PW4KGA00_W7SP1PRO64_ROW(DL).iso (Windows 7 Pro January 2016)
  23. Something I put together which together with the Windows .iso Download Tool is incredibly useful for Windows 7 OEM: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/software-os/m/microsoft_os/20443565 Works with: Alienware/Dell Lenovo/IBM HP/Compaq ASUS Acer Samsung Sony Toshiba MSI Fujitsu
  24. Unfortunately I don't. I think getting Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit preinstalled on a Skylake system via Downgrade rights was extremely rare so very few service tags will have that .iso. There are rumours it exists (I can't find the site which mentioned it I think somewhere in mydigitallife) and I think there might be a Windows 7 Home Premium .iso also but trying to find details about it.
  25. Was wondering if you can add the Dell 7 Professional Multi-Lingual Skylake Reinstallation .iso to the Windows ISO Downloader? In the meantime one can use the Dell OS Recovery Tool to Download a Windows 7 Pro OEM .iso: http://www.dell.com/support/home/uk/en/ukbsdt1/drivers/osiso/recoverytool/ This Tool can be ran on a non-Dell system provided that a Dell Service Tag is input.
