OK, all of a sudden I noticed that my Mem usage was at 55% with not much running (gadget), so I opened up my taskbar manager and noticed that i was only using 1G. In System Properties it shows 4G (1.75 Usuable) when before I had 3.75 usable (256 for my Vid Card).

I ran MemTest and everything passed. Does anybody have any suggestions?

This seems to be a problem with Windows 7...I wich I knew the cause I have it too

Maybe I will re image then. I have been using it for awhile with no issues until now.

Thanks Rick

Vista and Win7 use a lot of memory for super fetching and memory caching. It will be returned to the system when applications require it. This is normal behaviour. An interesting read about this is "Windows Internals, Fourth Edition". ;)

I just did a reformat a few days ago and before then I only saw a lost of 256 for my GPU, so there has to be another reason for this RAM lost. IMO

OK, I updated my BIOS and nothing, I did notice that under system info. it was only reading 2048, so checked each stick by themselves and I have a bad stick. :censored::ranting:

So no time to contact Patriot and try and get a replacement.
