I don't know what that could be, works brilliant for me (better than expected actually). Might fix itself.

Both have been fixed and new alpha available.

The latest test build is available here. WIM Capturing/Splitting has temporarily been removed. Some of you may notice the WIM Filter detection has been fixed (fingers crossed)

in OLD Threads
Hello, i normally use SmartWim to handle the image side of things i.e. Mounting, unmounting, etc.. but now i use WIMGAPI.dll directly and this so far has made mounting and unmounting 100% success!
In the next version SmartWim will be removed, also deleting images now works fully now that it uses wimgapi
Hopefully i will complete this soon and will release the next alpha. There has been a few bug fixes too since the last alpha.

If you want to use the feedback tool for Windows 7 RC.
Make a new shortcut on the desktop and make it point to
C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll,ShowWizardOnce the shortcut as been created, you can change the icon by going to the shortcut properties > Change Icon and browse to.
%SystemRoot%\system32\FeedbackTool.dlland select the first icon.
-
What makes you say it loads your current windows?
-
really? did u just try the wimgapi.dll or did u use vista sp1 wimfilters as well?
-
I know, can someone try using wimgapi and wimfilters from Vista SP1?
-
try the latest build here.
-
The program freezes? I think I know what it is now. I will fix it when I get home from work.
-
I meant the RC version of WAIK, but I think it's WIndows 7. It works great on some builds but yet works crap on others. It's strange.
-
Thanks, but its a broken link lol
-
A)I get the discarding error too, hopefully there will be a new WAIK RC for Win 7 so i use updated WimFltrs and wimgapi.
B)Description problem has already been fixed in my latest build
C)This is easily possible, i will see what i can do

Just a note...
Users who use file hosting sites like RapidShare, i can not add those addons to the Addon list within W7T, as it can only work with direct links. So if you can use FTP or anything that can provide a direct link then that would be great.
If you do not have access to anything like that then just continue using RapidShare, etc... Thanks.

His version is newer and i don't mind, if someone wants to make newer versions of MY (Legolash2o) addons then go ahead, but that does not mean you can "clone" other users addons
Saves me time because i don't have to update mine and it also helps users how to make addons
-
I have decided to remove the irrelevant posts from this topic.
-
Ok, let's end the arguing please. Please stay on topic.
EDIT: Removed irrelevant posts.
-
Looks good!
-
Please don't just "Clone" my whole cpl pack as Jatinbeniwal suggested.
I would feel like it was stolen.
I agree, please do not copy/convert/clone, etc.. anyone else's work, if you wish to do so then please ask them if you can first bearing in mind that if they say no, you cannot copy it.
If someone has released an addon which has been copied and the original creator contacts me to remove it, i will.
Thanks
@Back on topic

Hello again, I have some great news for you! Today i announce to you 4 new tools:
WIM Tweaker (now works with the actual wim)
OS Tweaker (tweaks current OS)
ISO Maker
Addon Maker, yes you read correctly!
Improved Coding
I've done a bit of improvements to code, the one you would most probably notice is when adding lots of files to the Addon Integrator, before it just hanged until it was completed, but now you see each one being added as well as telling you which one is it working on and how many is left to do. Adding Addons to the list is now a lot more smoother!
Addon Integrator
As above, the Addon Maker has been completed and... fully working (it was very simple really), there are some useful shortcuts like when adding a file to the Copy File list, it will ask you where these files need to go and if its a Start Menu item you can just simply type in %StartMenu%.
Addon Integrator now adds things to the list a lot quicker as mentioned above.
Tweaks
OS Tweaker and WIM Tweaker have been finished and just need to add more tweaks, they are both the same program except that there is a check (auto) if its going to the WIM or not and will apply the tweaks as necessary.
Improvements
Just checkout the change log
Testing/Fixing
There was one annoying bug where you can keep adding Addons from the download list to the download queue (fixed).
General
W7T 0.1.3 is amazing, fast (with build 7068 it instantly mounts images), and best of all stable. I would like to thank my Alpha Testers for doing a brilliant job, very also agree that it is stable
Public Alpha
W7T is now at the stage where if anyone wants to test the latest, they can do. Just send me a PM and i will provide you will a link to the download. If you encounter any bugs PLEASE PM me.

Hello again, time for some more news!
Improved Coding
Haven't really done much in this area, nothing much to report. Just did a tiny amount of code cleanup. I and also the alpha testers have noticed pretty much instant image mounting in build 7068 so that's good!
Addon Integrator
The Addon Integrator now lets you specify which build the addon is for, this is really useful for if you patch system files which and you don't want your users using a patch for 7057 on build 7068 which may damage the system.
The Addon Integrator now also lets you specify a website within the tasks.txt so when users double click the addon whilst it is in the list, it will open the website using the default browser.
Tweaks
Added lots more tweaks have been added, and some general improvements in that area.
Improvements
Done quite a lot of improvements.
*Double clicking items in lists now downloads them
*Addon Integrator now lets you specify website in addons
*Addon Integrator now lets you make build specific addons
*If there is only one image to choose from it will automatically highlight it
*Driver Integrator will not be shown if W7T does not detect Dism.exe in system32
Testing/Fixing
Some fixes too.
*FIX: Main form disappears clicking cancel when choosing download location
*FIX: Some images did not work correctly with WIM Manager
*FIX: Driver Integrator now integrates correctly
*FIX: Item add count when adding files in the MSU to CAB Converter
General
W7T is just getting better and better, its certainly stable! Its running smooth and cool Im still on the hunt for bugs even small bugs. Don't forget there is still 3 alpha testers places remaining.
Oh, sometimes the WIM Manager did not list images i.e. Vista SP2 pre-integrated, apparently its working now due to a big improvement in the way the WIM Manager gets values from the WIM

Update
All settings are saved in a file so all your changes will not be saved and W7T is now portable

Requirements: 7zip
I recommend using InstallWatch as it records what new registry entries there is and also which files have been modified.
Every .WA needs a tasks.txt file within it so W7T knows what to do with it, an example is below:
Make a folder i.e. D:\Addon
Step 1: Tasks.txt
Name=Mozilla Firefox
Creator=Legolash2o
Version=3.0.6
Arc=x86
Description=Open Source internet browser.
[CopyFolder]
Mozilla Firefox::Program Files
[CopyFile]
Mozilla Firefox.lnk::Users\Public\Desktop
Mozilla Firefox.lnk::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ProgramsName
This is the name of the program or addon
Creator
Your name or the maker of the addon
Version
The version of the program/addon you are making
Arc
Which version of the program you are making their are only 3 choices
x86 - These addon will work on both x86 and x64 images, if it is integrated into x64 it will put the files in folders like "Program Files (x86)" or "SysWOW64".
x86! - x86 only
x64 - x64 only
Build (Optional)
This will only let you install the addon on certain versions of windows i.e. 7068. This is useful for patches like Themes.
Build=7000! *Build 7000 only
Build=7000 *Build 7000 or newer
Website (Optional)
When the addon is double clicked in the list, it will open the website specified
Step 2: Copying Folders
[CopyFolder]
Mozilla Firefox::Program FilesThis is easy...
name of folder::where to put it
Mozilla Firefox will be copied into Program Files folder.
Put Mozilla Firefox folder in your root addon folder (D:\Addon)
Step 3: Copying Files
[CopyFile]
Mozilla Firefox.lnk::Users\Public\Desktop
Mozilla Firefox.lnk::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ProgramsPut Mozilla Firefox.lnk in your root addon folder (D:\Addon)
Also easy....
name of file including extension (.exe, .lnk, whatever):: folder to put it in
Firefox links will be copied to both Desktop and Start Menu
Step 3: Registry Entries
Just simply copy the exported .reg file into the root folder of the addon (D:\Addon)
Note: You may want to clean the registry file and remove entries like your name, serial codes, temp stuff like MuiCache and sometimes there is a really long entry and i mean long, remove that too!
Normal Registry File
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\1]
"Example"="This is an example string"
"Example2"=dword:00000001Delete Key (Note they hyphen (-) before HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\)
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\1]
"Example"="This is an example string"
"Example2"=dword:00000001Delete Value (Note the hyphen (-) after the equals sign(=))
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\1]
"Example"="This is an example string"
"Example2"=-Step 4: Creating the addon file (.WA)
Using the example above you should have something similar to...
D:\Addon
D:\Addon\Mozilla Firefox\ (with firefox files within it)
D:\Addon\Mozilla Firefox.lnk (shortcut)
D:\Addon\Tasks.txt
D:\Addon\Example.reg (optional)
Simply highlight all the files in the folder, right-click, 7zip > Add to Archive
Once its open change .7z to .WA make sure its on Ultra compression and click OK
Tasks.txt Example
7zip x64
Name=7-zip
Creator=Legolash2o
Version=4.65
Arc=x64
Description=7-Zip is an open source file archiver designed originally for Microsoft Windows. Blah.
[CopyFolder]
7-Zip::Program Files
[CopyFile]
7-Zip File Manager.lnk::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs7zip x86 only
Name=7-zip
Creator=Legolash2o
Version=4.65
Arc=x86!
Description=7-Zip is an open source file archiver designed originally for Microsoft Windows. Blah.
[CopyFolder]
7-Zip::Program Files
[CopyFile]
7-Zip File Manager.lnk::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ProgramsCrap Cleaner for both x64 and x86
Name=Crap Cleaner
Creator=Legolash2o
Version=2.18.878
Arc=x86
Description=Cleans all the crap on the computer
[CopyFolder]
CCleaner::Program Files
[CopyFile]
CCleaner.lnk::ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\ProgramsNotes
When it comes to the "Description" in tasks.txt it can only be one line, it can not be multiple lines.
For example:
This program has the following features:
*blah
*blah
*blah
The Addon Integrator will only display "This program has the following features:"
- SunLion, mehdi.n and Ali Sahandi
- 3
-
CODE
That seems to fit perfectly for me, maybe you have something like noscript or maybe its just your browser, if its IE8 try compatibility view

Vista SP2 Final has now been released will be available to download next time you open W7T! I recommend updating but make sure you have Vista SP1 first!
UPDATE: Whole bunch of addons has been added to the addon list within W7T too.
