Yes, he is the "Basketball God" in the flesh. LMAO.

OK, after doing some research I went with the Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EADS.
-
Please don't use the WD green...
They are very misleading with them. The drive speed is ACTUALLY 5200 not 7200 as advertised.
They don't even show a speed. WD site doesn't even show a speed for it. I don't really care to much for speed since it will be used for media. I am leaning toward the Seagate Barracuda 7200.12.
-
The Seagate Barracuda and WD Green are both 3 platters now.
-
Personally i Suggest Do not use Both of Them But to go with Samsung Spinpoint F3 1 TB HDD with 32 MB Cache. Reason Seagate use 4 Platters in 1 TB HDD means 250 GB on Each platter. I having both HDD Seagate is not reliable if u uses it coninuiosly for more than 6 hours in a day. I have replace my 1 TB HDD 2 times in just 4 months. Where as Samsung have less platters in HDD thats why its 30% faster than other HDD.
Thanks. I am using this HDD for media storage only. The reviews look great for the HDD also.I just wish it was in stock at NewEgg

OK, I am going to by a TB. Which Will be full as soon as I get it. LMAO
My question is,
What works better Internal or External?
What brand should I get? I know (Seagate and WD are highly recommended)
I am trying to stay under $90.00 since that is all I have. Which isn't to bad since TB's have lowered in price.
I will be ordering tomorrow.
THANKS

H A P P Y B - D A Y N 1 K.
I hope all goes well.

I have done several clean installs and 1 upgrade. The upgrade took under a hour (from Vista x64 to 7 x64) and they had no issues later on. This was also a q6600 w/6G on a 640G HDD.

LOL. You will get a lot of candy with that sword.

I hope everyone one has a nice Halloween and remember, the only way to check the candy for your kids is to eat all of it. :thumbsup_anim:

I suggest building XPCD by Steps. Starting with removing components. then Adding Service Packs, Tweaks/Patches and then addons. Always check the builds between steps, that way you can what is causing problems.
-
Moved to nLight Discussion.

What addons are you using?
What order are you building your XPCD?

Thanks for sharing.

Have you checked this out. LINK

I have a few XP version that I have made but the and the basic is a SP3, IE8 (OnePiece) and WMP 11 (Boooggy and n7Epsilon). I start all my XP builds after these integrations.

Sorry zookey I haven't understood you properly.
If your fan is buzzing, you can check if there's some other cable touching the fan, or your fan might be bad.
You can also try to clean the fan and remove the dust from i for a start.
LOL. I didn't even think that it could be dirty. That could be a possibility.
-
I would suggest taking the side panel off, turn the PC back on and when the noise starts, lightly push on the fan to see if the noise stops. You may have a loose part on your card and may need to find out what. You could also remove the card and place it back in to see if that helps. I have never came across this problem and it will be hard to figure out without actually seeing/hearing the issue.

I hope all goes well. Most of us understand and know how things can get.

This guy is tore up. I had to share it.
