There is a number of factors on this issue, but you can use BootXP.

I finally got my RAM in today. :thumbsup_anim:

Welcome to WinCert

Personally, I'd remove OCZ from the list and add Crucial for RAM and Seasonic for PSU. Seasonic is a major OEM and supplier, the others just rebrand their work.
Good luck on the replacement RAM when it shows. Make sure the BIOS timings match the RAM, don't rely on the SPD readings.
And run memtest86 before allowing the system to boot to Windows.
The timing is off unfortunately (5-7-7-18) it's advertised at 5-5-5-15. It seems like a lot of people are having issues to get this running at 1066. So all I can say is that I bought a 800 with good OC ability. LOL. Right now I am at 3.510 (from 3.0) and RAM is at 468.1. I haven't gone higher yet. the max for my CPU is 540. Next time I will stay away from the "good deals" LOL

After 2 weeks they still have no located the RAM which was in a prepaid envelope from them but, they are finally going to send me my replacement stick. I asked for a free 2G stick for the inconvenience but they said they couldn't. LOL

I bought Patriot Viper II 4GB (2 x 2GB) 1066. After 2 weeks I had 1 sticks heat spread keep falling off, after about 2 months the other stick died. I sent the dead stick out and got a replacement in around 2 weeks (that's after they got it). I sent the other stick (with the bad heat sink) out around 2 weeks ago, and yet have not got a email with the tracking number for that replacement. Mean while, this replacement (2 weeks old) is bad. I will get a BSOD when I have it set for 1066. It works fine and passes MemTest on 800, but fails on 1066.
OK, I just wanted to give people a heads up. I am sure it's just my luck. These are the only rams I have had go bad on me.

I just installed my card. Man is it a beast. It has some good weight to it also. I got a 7.2 all around for graphics in WEI for 7. I got a 11241 on 3DMarks (I am missing 2G still so not sure if that will change). Man there is big difference in gaming now. And I really haven't done much yet. Maybe later tonight.
-
LMAO. That was a good one
-
Yeah I am using Windows 7 Ultimate an dit's DirectX 10.1.
-
Yes it is overkill at the moment but I will get a larger monitor in a month or 2 if all goes well. LOL
-
can't beat free
Specially if it's better than stock. LOL

OK, I was at MicroCenter yesterday getting a controller and a 2.1 speaker set and I cam accross a OCZ Vendetta, yeah it maybe a old version but it was $9.99 with a 10.00 mail-in rebate. I just thought I would share that.
-
OK the 8800 gt did not go through. So Ia m going for a overkill.
I ended up getting the XFX HD-477A-YDFC Radeon HD 4770 512MB over the XFX HD-485X-ZDFC Radeon HD 4850 1GB
I have read that the 4770 has out performed the 4850 and the 9800GT.
-
8800gt for fifty bucks?
Thats a sweet deal. Whos the manufacturer?
I don't know? I am waiting for a reply. I also don't know how long he has had it. The person stays around 15 minutes away from me.
-
Thanks ccl0 that info will save me money for other things. Maybe a new heatsink or gaming mouse. I will be ordering today. I did find someone on craigslist selling a used 8800GT for 50.00 USD

I a m thinking about getting this EVGA 01G-P3-N959-TR GeForce 9500 GT or XFX HD-467X-ZDF2 Radeon HD 4670
OK, now if I I am going for broke. LOL
I am thinking about getting a XFX HD-485X-ZDFC Radeon HD 4850
I was thinking about getting EVGA 512-P3-N871-AR GeForce 9800 GTX, but the price is high and from what I have seen they are about the same.

I have never heared about this site. But "If it is to good to be true, It's is"!

I have a Radeon HD 2600 will let you know how it handles when I can get a digital monitor or adapter for my old vga
LOL. Sorry Rick. At least you have a TV Tuner. I don't have one of those, yet.I am slowly getting a decent system together.
-
OK, I am trying to get a gaming card. As you all know I don't have a job so money is tight. I am looking to spend around 60-80 USD I might go a little higher if it makes a big difference.
This is something I was thinking about getting GIGABYTE GV-R467ZL-1GI Radeon HD 4670 1GB.
I currently have a 17" LCD and will not have anything bigger than that for awhile.
If anyone can explain what to look for in a card it will be helpful.
As of now I have a onboard ATI Radeon HD 4200. Which plays all of the COD's/UnReal on low (never tried a higher setting). I would like to play GTA IV and a few other games.
One last question, should you stay away from "off brand" cards. i.e Asus/Gigabyte/PNY etc.
THANKS Everyone.

What do you mean 4 files?
Also on boot screens you can only use 16 color compliant BMPs. So that pic may not look as good.
