Now if you want an easy way to change the recycle bin icon in the start menu, just use "ActivIcons" (freeware)
on default system icons, scroll down and click on the icon under @%SystemRoot%\system32\SHELL.. and Change Icon
this one will change the icon in the start menu.

very nice ! ...
but with the first try, when I click on the recycle bin icon, I had a message from Windows Explorer that the access root doesn't exist or it not in the repertory.
I tweak XP to hide the recycle bin on my desktop, so I re-edit to show it and now it working !
afaik this will not work if you tweak XP to hide the recycle bin on your desktop.

People should really less pathetic and make there own skins
or gently ask the permission :worthy: to use the skin (and give credit) in their website

a very nice program !, I use this to create cursor from PNG images...
and they have also made "change cursor 2.0" , you right click on the .cur and choose from the context menu on what you want to apply the cursor.

you already know that you can change the icon of folders with Windows (right click / propertys / customize ...)
but can't when you try some folders like "My images", "My music", etc
if you don't have a program to do it, they will say that you have to change the icon in the specific .dll
now the trick !
like for example I made a copy of "My images" folder, I change the icon on the copy with the right click ...
delete the original folder, rename the copy "My images", go in the start menu click on the old icon
go back in the start menu.. and now I have the new icon over there too !

I found some images in the download folder but they have to be modify
like this one, cut-it-out from an image showing a t-shirt !
original size 325*400, size in this post 200*267, I layer this size (transparent background) on a 275*267 black background and save it in BMP format
I hack :lock: the default Windows XP screensaver and replace the image.
now instead to have the Windows logo and Home Edition text image, now I have the pirate image moving on my screen !

I installed the patch and now my computer refuses to boot up. It takes me to the logon screen, lets me log on, shows me the wallpaper and then freezes...no desktop icons, no system tray, no start menu...nothing. I dont know how to restore the explorer.exe file since it's not letting me start up at all. Any help is appreciated.
I had the same issue earlier this year
(no-English computer "FR") ...I know it's a little late for "dontpanic" but I post the answer anyway, because it could be useful for other users...launch the Task Manager, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete simultaneously on your keyboard
click on "file".. and click "new task"
now browse to the LS patch and launch it again
drag the window because it probably hide the pop-up message
in this pop-up message (..bla bla.. the text in ..bla bla..) just click "yes"
now you should be back to normal !

How to remove recycle bin from your desktop
Open Regedit by going to START - RUN and type Regedit and hit enter. Then you should navigate to following entry in registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
Desktop\NameSpace\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} and delete it. This action should remove recycle bin from your desktop.
I removed it longtime ago, but I didn't delete the entry, I just rename it (add BAK)
BAK{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}

well I found this one..
the colours have been modified and the original size put on a 1024*768 black background
I also made a smaller size in a subfolder named "Logon", it seem back then I want to make a Logon screen with this !
I guess I just found an another sleepy project ! :sleeping:

sometime I tweak the images (size, text removed, etcs), so if you download my images from here for your personal use, just remember that the copyright of the graphics belong to Anne Stokes

I'm not bad in English, but my native language is French (French Canadian), I just don't understand your request about the image..."as big that I have" you want the image from the link in a Wallpaper size ?, you want the original size of the cut-it-out that I did ?, or it's something else you want me to do with it ? ....
