I've been told the reported software has been removed from the installer so I will give it one more chance. Just for a month though.

 

If you get anything installed which is dodgy then let me know in this thread and I will report it.

Just tried downloading and installing, and NOD32 is reporting threat "Win32/Somoto.L"

 

Is this the malware we are talking about or is this a false positive?  Either way, it's not ideal...

Not entirely sure about that one. I've reported it just in case.

Just tried downloading the latest installer and same thing.  Portable is fine though which I can use no problem, so just letting you know...

Hello, I would like to let you know that the installer installed Storm Alert (http://www.trackstormalert.com) and RocketTab without my permission   I will now reboot and try to uninstall them.

What? You can't use the portable version?

Win32/Somoto.L is the name of the company which has the adverts. Basically it the DLL which retrieves the latest offers. It's known to offer users software (optional) and that specific one is harmless. I'll be getting rid of the installer in about 2 weeks anyway (finally).

I try to install 1.5.3.7 but kaspersky remove it and says it is Malware.

La imagen 1 muestra a WTK intentando limpiar: RESE BASE pero al hacerlo tarda varias horas y nunca pasa a la siguiente.

En la Imagen 2 en cambio he notado el siguiente error cuando WTK intenta limpiar "WinSXS manifest Cache", al mostrarse el error, WTK se cierra.
