  3. Hi It has been awhile since my last visit here... I no longer interested in Windows 7. I want to move on with Windows 8.1. Is there a wintoolkit version that can handle Windows 8.1 ??? Thanks P.S I think this question should be pinned for others to get this stright and simple answer.
  4. Update catalog is not working anymore.. Can someone confrim? Thx
  5. Hi After installing Win7 with all latest Mcrip updates integrated, windows updates finds and installs about 200MB of more updates... How can I get all thse new msu files? Is there another tool that can download offline updates? Thanks
  6. Hi During the last task of wintoolkit my PC crashed and I had to restart.. Now I cannot start a new job.. When I try to run a new job it gets stuck trying to unount the previous folder.. How can I reset it and delete the unmounted folder? Where is it located by default? Thanks
  7. Hi After testing wintoolkit with windows 8.1 I realized that it is far from being optimized for Win8... There are many missing tweaks like forcing the os to boot into desktop, removing some metro apps, disabling UAC without disabling apps functionality.. etc.. Are there any plans for full Win8 support soon? Perhaps with version 1.5? Thanks
  8. Thanks. Do you happen to know if chipset/storage drivers need to be slipstreamed into 8.1 or perhaps all needed drivers are already included? BTW non of the mcrip win8 addons work with w8.1 (I get error not compatible with sp1). Thanks
  9. Hi I'v tried modifying Win8.1 iso using the larest toolkit. I've only added chipset, mass storqage and wifi drivers (from Drivers pack win7 64bit) and did some tweaks. All process went ok, but I get many errors when running setup... Is Win 8 SP1 not yet supported? Could the Win7 drivers not compatible with Win8.1? thanks
  10. Hi I just noticed that I'm missing many win7 tweaks that could be found under the advanced-tweaks tab in the old versions like 1.2.. Now the tweaks are very limited. For example, there is no tweak for disabling password change reminder... Thanks
  11. Thanks, but my built was based on X17-59465.iso (ult 64 english)...
  12. Thanks The setup was DVD for the real machine and ISO image for virtual box. Unattened file attached Autounattend.xml
  13. Hi I just created a new windows 7 setup iso (integrated drivers, updates and some addons and tweaks + unnatended with username and product key). When I used this iso on both real and virtual machines, when windows logs in for the first time, it prompts me to enter Computer name while in the text box I see a default name windows chose which is "PC". If I try to change it to anything else, I get errors about unsupported charactes.. For any name I try like "PC2"... This is very strange.. I did not setup a computers name on the unattended file.. Any ideas why is this happening? Thanks
  14. Thanks. I was looking for it under Tools...
  15. It is missing from the latest version...

  17. OK. I have split the install.wim into 2 files: install.swm and install2.swm. What do I do with these files? I tried placing both of them inside sources folder instead of install.wim but setup failed with cannot finf install.wim... I guess i have to modify some config files.. but how? Thanks
  18. OK. I just notice the wim split option in win toolkit. Can I just extract my already customized iso file and point wintoolkit to the install.wim? Will this work w/o messing up all the custom changes I made to the setup? Many thanks
  19. Hi I finished my custom windows 7 iso. I want to include the setup in a fat32 multiboot usb drive created with ezboot. Now the only problem is that my install.wim file is over 4GB limit. Can the wintoolkit split the image file into 2 parts? Is there another way of doing this? Many thanks
  20. Hi I want to make a Windows 8 (pro) setup DOK that will istall Windows 8 that will automatically load into Desktop with the Classic start menu. I don't care if it is Classic shell or start8. I could not find such an addon for wintoolkit. Is there any way to mege classic start menu into Windows 8 setup? Thanks
  21. Hi Thanks for the info. I'm quite new to Windows 8, I'm just making my first steps (I just installed it into VirtualBox). Can someone pleae tell me which start menu solution is recomanded and can be integrated into Windows 8 before installation (as an add on for wintool kit)? I've checked the addon section of wintoolkit and didn't see any start menu solution.. Thanks
  22. Am I the only one having this issue?
  23. Hi Add some multimple addons' then try to sort them by manually moving items up or down... it skips multimple places' and then addons disapear (removed as if never added). Also, if you add multiple addons and one of them is bad, you receive warning message (this is good), but the rest of the addons are not added (process stops, instead of ski[ing the bad addon only). Regards Eli
  24. Hi I've been planning on doing a clean install of Win7 on one of my computers, but I kkep postponing that, untill SP2 is out, so I wont have to deal with many updates... Should I keep holding my breath for SP2? Anyone knows when SP2 will be availabe? Thanks
  25. I'm running 64bit win7 with 8GB ram with pagefile disabled. Never had a problem, on any program (office 2010, Matlab, Maple15, PSPICE, 3D games, video editing with Adobe Premier...). The pagrfile is on;y usable if you get a BSOD and want to debug it...
