Try to add the keys in HKLM maybe ?
In XP I remember that the keys added in HKCU before the creation of the first user (T-13) goes in the the default hive, and are copied into each new user created, maybe you can achieve the same with W7 ?
Putting the vcd.reg in WinToolkit-AIO under "Tweaks" (and obviuosly the SFX-Installer under "Silent-Installers-SFX !) does exactly the job I want:

all user with the same settings.

    Hi,

this is the advantage (from Readme.txt):

    - If you want to keep the downloaded KBs month after month (time saving), configure WUD like this :
        * Beware to create a specific download folder (don't choose the Desktop, 'cause all of its content could be deleted) !
        * Click on "Show options"
        * Check "Show Publish Date" and "Remove unlisted files" (please read advertissement), uncheck "category as sub-folder" and "Product as sub-folder"
        * At the next update, open each Updates, IE 11 Updates, and RDP 8.1 folders: KB that you own are shown in green,
new KBs to download are shown in grey at the top of the list.
Obsolete KBs in download folder will be deleted during the download of the new ones.
    - Updates named with a "z" (ex. zWindowsXXX.msu) have to be integrated in Silent installer + SFX section of Wintoolkit (or Setupcomplete.cmd).
    Have a nice week-end.

Hide KB's .vbs worked in setupcomplete, took 5 1/2 minutes though but did not hide 2 MSE's, Skype & all the Silverlights, it only hid the 21 "regular" KB's.
    .....
If you put tthe KBs of MSE, Skype & Silverlight as KBXXXXXXX not as name it works and hides those KBs.

    A special case is Silverlight:
if you hide only KB3056819, this will be hidden, but WU requests for 6 older Silverlight KBs!

    They are:

    KB2977219
    KB2636827
    KB2668562
    KB2617986
    KB2512827
    KB2526954

Just tested in a VM, x86 HP.

You can see: no optional-updates anymore!

    Have a nice week-end, Thiersee

OK, good to know ! I'll think about a SFX that makes the computer reboot and launch the .vbs script. Too much complicated for my level !
Or it will be more easy to interest to WPI...
The possibility to set a reboot-routine under WTK-SFX-Installer and then reenter the PC in the WTK-RunOnce-Installer is a very, very old request from me to Lego....

    Edit:

if you are using WPI you don't need to make a SFX-installer: put de script in the "%wpipath% (folder Install) and set it to execute before the WPI-installation begins under "Options/Tools"

    It works just tested

In the meantime, if you are able to work out the manual process successfully, then give back to the community by sharing the details of the process so others can do it too.  Good luck!
..... I just tried it for Win7 x86 (is faster ) and it works!
    The sequence:
    1) In the normal AIO choose the lowest version (for me STARTER) and Integrate all updates you need in that version. delete ALL other (HomeBasic, HomePremium, Professional, Ultimate)
    2) Reload the .WIM and delete ALL other versions (HomeBasic, HomePremium, Professional, Ultimate)
    2a) Rebuild the loaded .WIM.
    3) When finished close WTK, go into the folder where your .WIM is located
    4) Copy and paste the install.wim 4 times (three times for x64)
    5) Open WTK, go to the "Intermediate-Tab" and start WIM-Manager
    6) Load the 1st copy of the install.wim and upgrade it to HomeBasic
    6a) Save the changes
    7) Repeat  step 6) and 6a) for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th copy of the install.wim and upgrade them respectively to HomePremium, Professional, Ultimate
    8) When finished reload install.wim and merge 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th copies into the install.wim
8a) Rename the names and descriptions to the "normal", if you want (for example, instead of Windows 7 Professional x64, simply Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL)
    9) Rebuild the install.wim
    10) Delete all the copies of the install.wim (step 4), if you pasted them in the same folder together with the install.wim, otherwise your ISO will be a lot bigger !
    11) Done!

I controlled in NTlite and the updates are integrated in all versions.

    @Thiersee,
I made tests with x86 and x64 configurations, and didn't find the pb you report with KB2670838 and KB2834140 (both in ULs), except of course the 2 IE 11 updates reasked after deep-clean.
No more time to test, I'll have hard work next week. So I'll let the ULs as they are until next update patch, just hope MS will correct the bug !
.....Problem is already solved with the hint from abbodi1406, see posts #486 & #487.
On x64 was the sequence in WTK not correct, KB2670838 must be installed before KB2834140.

Have a nice weekend, before your hard work next week .

A noter que KB3023266 est censée être remplacée par KB3031432 mais n'est pas nettoyée par le deep-clean...
If you proof KB3023266 in MS-Update Catalog it says, this KB has been replaced by KB3031432 and KB3008483.

    Hi guys,

Win7 ISOs with SP1 U (Media Refresh) are not available anymore on DigitalRiver, MS has taken down the servers!
    See the news on heidoc.net

    http://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/14-windows-7-direct-download-links

The ISOs are available ONLY on the Software Recovery Centre with a Retail-Key, an OEM-Key does not work!

    Older ISOs are still available.

"Dans mon PC (matériel réel et VM) ne était pas requise par la version WU 7; a été installé la version 6."
    Is it OK ?
Not really, but it's understandable !!!
No matters if this V7 was asked or not. To my opinion, if a new version has been published, UL should integrate the latest one.

    OK, ok..... :dancing:
    But now to serious things!

I did some test with the updates from patch day (4-5 times integrated and installed) and found out:

    1) KB3004394 seems NOT to be integratable!
After I integrated it together with all the other updates, all has been installed "correctly", but after a search on WU it was NOT possible to install any other KB, no matter which one!
After a new integration without KB3004394 no problems any more!
May be, you can put it together with the other "not integratable"

    2) Since today WU is asking for KB3006625 (critical, not optional!); there are only two problems with this update:

a.) It seems not to be integratable

Prerequisites To apply this hotfix, you must be running Windows 7 SP1 or Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/976932)
b.) It is NOT possible to install it on ALL my PCs (real HW and VM), error is 800706F7; I think because I'm NOT in a domain and the update is for machines in a domain.....

Again did Microsoft this month a "beautyful" job.... :ranting:

Yes, I'm used to test only Professional edition since it's the best compromise between all W7 versions (HP lacks of XP Mode, Ultimate/Enterprise asks for 34 language pack updates in optional updates, Homebasic and Starter are too basic, they don't offer Aero effect), and it's now the only version available when you buy a new computer.
If some KBs are unneeded depending of the used version of W7, it will be too much complicated to maintain the ULs !!! So, I'll just maintain them for Professional edition.
People who use an other edition will just have to perform a deep clean after their installation to remove unneeded updates.
I'm back with my test results:

    it dipends from the version!

    1) HomePremium, x86 & x64: KB2973351 has been uninstalled
    2) Professional, x86 & x64: has NOT been uninstalled

Of course every installation with a fresh ISO and the same INI for WTK.

So, I mean too it would to much work to maintain the ULs separately for every version.

    Have a good night.
