Yes there is a VBS (WiSumInf.vbs) that you can use to edit the Summary Information, you will find it in msi_vbs_examples.zip in any Microsoft Windows SDK
Here is the command I use to repair the Core and Extended MSI's after updating (I also fix the Name and Description):
WiSumInf netfx_Core_x86.msi Subject="Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile" Comments="Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile; Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation, All rights reserved." Revision={F3592794-C7C9-495D-8985-EDD0D19ECD10}WiSumInf netfx_Extended_x86.msi Subject="Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended" Comments="Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended; Copyright (C) Microsoft Corporation, All rights reserved." Revision={6049F8E7-4CD1-48EC-92A9-039B68CD82B3}

I noticed this as well inside the installer, seems like vmware has dropped x86 support... I will re-add the last version 10 for those with 32 bit OS'sThis is the message after I try to install it on x86 WinTP9860 and WinTP9879:
Error: This product can only be installed on 64 bit Windows 7 or newer Operating Systems.
Is this really 64 bit version?

Why do you say this, if its because it is not offered to you on XP that is because they deemed it no longer compatible... This is only if you try to run it via the normal installer, if you extract it (like this one) the msi installs fine and the program works as well on XPseems like MS has withdrawn this update?

[Repak] VMware Workstation Lite 12.1.0-3272444
in Installer Repacks
Try original on x86 let me know if it installs
I doubt it because all x86 drivers are gone in this build and the x64 condition added to the single MSI
