1) Computer Name is not working, still asks me to enter a computername during installation. 2) Time Zone not working. 3) Selected AutoLogon with Administrator account, but during installation it still wants me to enter a username. Everything else works as intended, altho I haven't tried the OEM and Misc. settings.

Yes I know this, but like I said, I never had a problem removing Internet Explorer b4 with the Win7 refresh ISO from this site. Just with the Januari Exclusive one, because it has some IE updates integrated in it.

I meant to say was Internet Explorer in general. I think the component is called Internet Explorer when trying to remove it with the advanced component removal tool.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with some of the integrated updates for IE9, because I don't have this issue with the regular refreshed Win7 iso.

I removed IE9 from a Win7SP1disk along with some other green components and after all those components were removed, IE9 still appeared in the list screen. So I checked it for removal again and finally created an iso. After installation I noticed that Computer Management is not working properly anymore due to this: http://postimage.org/image/cjp7tg4gn/ Same thing happened with the latest test version.

Lego, could u maybe plz post the components that are safe to remove on windows 8 which will produce a working system. For whatever reason I cannot get a functional win8 system when removing all the of the green components :S

Yes regular clean Win7 image, no preset and I always use the advanced component remover and delete everything except most red components and the aero theme.

Ive noticed that selecting to remove the non-aero themes from the advanced component remover, the folder c:\windows\resources\themes\aero also gets removed. By removing that folder most of the aero theme functionality is also removed. Im not sure if this intentional or not, but I doubt it.

Yes I had the same thing, Win8 isnt fully implemented yet I think. But Win7 is, I removed all of the green components and my system is slimmed down and fully operational.

Did u get a working system with those components removed?

I've also tried removing most if not all of the green components, but after installation I couldn't boot up in the system anymore, so u need to be careful with what u select. I know for a fact that removing only the metro apps works.

Strange tho, maybe it's a Windows 8 thing :S, anyway like I said I managed to make the addon the manual way, so it's no biggie.
