Hello,

im thinking of buying myself a computer for chrismas.

and it has to be fast and powerful.

the computer im thinking of getting is a dell computer: Dell XPS 420

its really nice

but i was talking to my friend and he said why not make one from the start cause then you pick what you won't and it will run how you won't it to.

he took me to a store near where i live and showed me some stuff.

i found 2 Case/Bodys for my ideal computer. I like the 1st one better.

CASE 1

or

CASE 2

there was some good motherboards as well but i do not know which type i want to go for.

AMD or Intel?

they do Bundles:

Bundles

i think the Quad Core Q6600 bundle is good it comes wih a 1GB memory and a Fan with it.

then i looked at the AMD bundles and i don't know much about AMD Processor's

but they looked good but as i said i don't know much about AMD Processor's

so i could use the help from all you guys cause this was my 1st place to come to for advice :D

thank you for your help :sweatingbullets:

Let build a rocket :P

I suggest you these:

Case: Thermaltake Armor silent but if you want it to be more silent, you can change fans with ultra silent.

Processor: Intel

What do you think about SAPHIRE ATI HD4850 or SAPHIRE HD3870 ultimate. (it is also my graphic card, and really good performance, cheap, you can look at it here)

But 8800GT is really good choice :)

NO, one is enough.. I have it and it's sufficient for all of the new games, especially with 4 gigs of RAM and quad processor. That combination shouldn't be expensive these days..

Also, don't use crossfire or SLI technology 'cause you won't get more than 30-40% from other card when in SLI mode. For that money, better buy one newer card.

Nice but ı think ASUS P5Q Deluxe, ASUS Maximus Formula or Asus Rampagne Formula colud be better on MB...

Don forget your RAMs arent ordinary so be carefull to choose right MB :)

Thermaltake Cases

ASUS Game Motherboards

ASUS P5Q Deluxe

But ı want to repeat that again.

It depends your choice :)

And HDD could be Seagate 320 GB 7200 Rpm 16 MB cache.

My personal idea is Seagate is best on HDD ;)

HIGH POWER is really good on power supply :)

ASUS P5Q Deluxe looks very good!

it can go up to 16GB RAM! :)

seems to be the one for me

now... where to buy the thing.....

lol

thanks

You can try Microdirect.co.uk Asus P5Q Deluxe or Aria.co.uk Asus P5Q Deluxe

As I live near Manchester then these are the 2 places that I tend to use for getting my PC stuff from as I can easily drive there since I am too impatient to wait the few days it takes to have them posted.

My opinion:

Thermaltake Case (better to be safe with well known manufacturer :)

http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/Product.aspx...mp;ID=1819#Tab2

Which ever ASUS MBO you choose, you'll choose good, my vote for ASUS.

I would also go with Corsair modular power supply unit..620W

http://www.silentpcreview.com/article692-page1.html

Also, I'd choose Corsair XMS2 or Dominator memory modules..

I dont know corsair on power supply but about RAM

My choice is OCZ or Kingston HyperX

Because they have special cooling equipments.

OCZ DDR2 RAM

KINGSTON HYPERX RAM

ok this is hows its looking now.

the ASUS P5Q Deluxe is good

but im going for the Asus P5K SE/EPU

and im going to have the full 8GB RAM

but ill will start of with 3GB then add it everytime i get the money

im also going to get a 320GB Hard Drive w/ a added cooling.

also the RAM will have memory cooling.

700W X-Power ATX SLI PSU im going with. the more power the better.

im going to stay with this PC case as im going to add alot more fans to it.

Gamer / Server PC Case with 250mm Fan. im going to have 2x 120mm Fans at the front.

2x 80mm Fans at the back And the 250mm Side Fan.

im going for the Intel Quad Core Q6600

im thinking for going for the Nvidia 8800GTX 512MB

but ill keep on changing stuff as time comes.....
