  1. compstuff does it fly through ALL of the installations? I'm testing the RunOnce issue now and it only seems to affect MSU files for me, although i have made some changes.

I've explained further in the PM you sent me, Win Toolkit will only reboot if it detects a certain program/script being ran after Windows installation. For me to mention the name of that program/script would break forum rule #1
  3. Thanks for the test 3 questions 1. Do your silent installers work? 2. Do your msu files work? Seems like a no 3. Do your other installers work (none silent with syntax/switches)?
  4. I focused on one because I have used many updates with the EXE to MSP Converter and they all worked fine, KB2553111 is the only file which i've seen your mentioned problem so I assumed it was a one off. EDIT 1: Seems to be a common problem with Office 2003 updates, do you have the names of any other updates it affects? EDIT 2: Fixed this so it works with all 2003 updates, however please still list a few other updates it had affected just for testing purposes.
  5. That's done by design, some people are stupid enough to select a drive root and then wonder why all there files have been deleted. Again done by design, some people use the same temp folder for all of their programs and it becomes messy. Glad it now saves, so the original bug has been fixed.

In the error box it should had displayed more info, is it possible you can post it if the problem happens again?
  7. Just saw your last post but it only mentions .msu files and no other files (which aren't already silent).
  8. Might as well try 18 if you haven't started the process yet, however when it comes to SFX it won't make a difference. Thanks

The only time WinKit reboots if it detects that another program wanted to reboot the computer in the first place, can't go into full details as it would break the forum rules.
  10. Thanks, ill have a look now. Just to confirm... silent installers work fine but anything else doesn't? Or is the problem just with MSU files? Also no one has described what actually happens, does it skip the install? is the install not silent? any error messages? EDIT: After the install there should be a '"WinKit_RunOnceLog.txt' in the System32 folder.
  11. probably remove Windows drivers first.
  12. Hmm, this may take a while to fix. Would probably be easier to remove the sorting options altogether.
  13. It should work fine without a clean image
  14. Whatever is issue for you, but since you said you have an image with the issue already then you might as well do that
  15. Assuming this issue only happens with this update then the problem is now solved.
  16. So the issue is just with the temp folder and changing the mount folder is fine? EDIT: Found the issue, fixed.
  17. The only reason i can think of it doing that is because drive D is not NTFS. EDIT: Just fixed the D:\\WinToolkit\\WinToolkit issue. Question: When you change your temp/mount folder and 'Apply Settings', does your settings.txt change?
  18. What folder are you trying to change it to? and what folder is your mount folder set to be? Does it revert back straight away or everytime you open Win Toolkit?

Just an update: Still sorting my error logs (grouping duplicates), they're quite a lot but hopefully I will start coding soon.

But i'd rather not have it mount the image first, besides if a user tweaks a service which doesn't exist in the image like the ones you mentioned above, nothing will get changed regarding those tweaks.
  21. Can you please use Registry Hive Editor on the image with the silent installers and export HKLM\\WinKit, HKLM\\W7T, HKLM\\WinToolkit or whatever it's called.
  22. Legolash2o replied to oguz's post in a topic in OLD Threads
Not possible, it would require mounting the image first and if you have multiple images it will take way longer
  23. For some reason your DVD folder will be set to read-only. Right click on the folder and untick read-only.

Thanks, just as a warning though.... It may take a while to reply to everything everyone has posted.

So glad that exam is all over and done with, anyways i'm currently going through all of the error logs removing duplicates and will start fixing bugs. In other words..... I'm back
