Legolash2o got a reaction from RicaNeaga in [Solved] Win Toolkit Latest Release Question
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! It worked. The RunOnce detects it running during install and comes back automatically after Windows is finished. You can now integrate those updates safely without worrying about the RunOnce.
Bazinga!!

It shouldn't be running that until after install. There's a KB update which causes it to run on 'completing installation'. I will hunt it down

I will find out which one over the weekend and block it from integrating and instead go to the silent installers list.

Legolash2o got a reaction from RicaNeaga in Update
Well i've just had to abandon the idea as it was WAY to much work. However, when I 'propose' Win Toolkit for my final year project and it gets approved. I will definitely be experimenting in this area again. The method I was about to use would have sorted ALL the sorting issues you where having.
When it gets approved. I will be pretty much starting from scratch but and will probably drop XP support. Also possibly rewritten in C++ LOL!
I'm tempted to upload a test build for everyone to use (with IE11 support)?
EDIT: I've made IE install after updates.

Legolash2o got a reaction from NIM in Update
Things have been pretty busy and with other things have affected my mental health quite abit. Things are getting better though. I will be remaining logged in from now on...
I apologize for the long absence..How is everyone? I have 3 GOOD news relating to Win Toolkit.
1. My laptop is working now.
2. In about 2-3 weeks time I will have LOTS of spare time and will pick up Win Toolkit again. I mean like 8 hours a day spare time, which is much more than I had before!
3. I get to pick my final year project soon or 'propose' one. That is when i'm going to propose Win Toolkit
I have still be checking the forum but mostly without login in. Been getting lots of PMs which I'm sift through now lol. I've learned so much new techniques in the last 2-3 months that I will definitely be implementing them in Win Toolkit!
P.S. Does anyone know a location for latests Windows updates? I wish to update my ISOs
Feel free to 'bump' topics that require my attention. If you have sent me an email which I haven't replied to, feel free to resend it.
EDIT: I think i have to fix the links to the current ISOs

Legolash2o got a reaction from bawarmk in Addon Maker
This tool lets you create addons for Windows 7 Toolkit, this tool has a lot of potential, more than people realize! Used correctly, this tool can have your progams pre-installed after Windows installation.
This tool is the most complex, but you becomes very easy to use ones you get your head around it but this is not for the faint hearted. So good luck!
Note: I will only be covering the basics!
Info
This is one of the easier screens and is pretty self explanatory and i'm pretty sure you can figure this out.
Files
This will copy file to the mounted wim image when someone adds this addon. So go ahead and click 'Add Files' at the bottom.
1. Click the folder button and browse to the file you wish to copy.
2. Select the destination, you can choose to a pre-defined area and then add '\\filenameyouwant.exe'
You can also type it in manually like 'C:\Windows\System32\RunOnce.exe' but you would not type the beginning 'C:\' so it would be 'Windows\System32\RunOnce.exe'
Folder
Same as above, select the folder you wish to have installed and then select where you want the folder to go.
Add any *.reg files you wish to have installed or required for your addons, some users use a program like InstallWatch which tells you what registry/file changes where made to your computer during an installation. You then export the registry changes and import them here.
Delete Files
Type in the location of the file you need deleting for example 'Windows\System32\Example.exe'
Shortcuts
This is where you can create shortcuts for the program you made. You can just copy and paste a pre-existing shortcut from an installation in the 'File' tab and tell it where it needs to go i.e. Desktop.
You don't need to use 'Icon' if the exe you pointed too already has one. Also 'Arguments' is mostly left blank as you don't need anything like /s /q /quiet, etc..
Commands
This is for commands which you want to run after Windows has been installed.
It doesn't seem like it has alot of potential but trust me it does! Used correctly, you can do anything with this tool.
As mentioned above you can use InstallWatch to record what an installation does, so that you can use that information to make an addon which then has that program pre-installed when you have Windows installed.
Any questions about this tool (not bugs) just post in here and i will try to reply.

Legolash2o got a reaction from Tutos Devweb in ISO Maker
This tools turns your folder with the Windows image in it, into a fully bootable ISO. As of v1.4.0.1 ISO Maker now supports UEFI as default.
Step 1: Select the folder you wish you wish to make into an ISO.
Press the first 'Browse' button.
Step 2: Type in an ISO label.
Step 3: Select where you want to save the new ISO.
Press the second 'Browse' button.
Option: Boot Image
You can choose to add a custom boot image if required, i recommend you leave this at the default setting unless you are having issues.
Option: Rebuild Image
It is best to rebuild the image before it makes an ISO, this will decrease the size of your WIM image especially if you have made lots of changes and removed file.
Step 4: Press 'Start'
Once pressing start a black command prompt screen should appear with a progress indicator.

Legolash2o got a reaction from justicegate in Update Catalog
This tool lets you download the latest updates which are not available via Windows Updates. This updates are know as QFE updates and are made available to those who have specific issues but everyone just integrates them anyway.
Note: Previous use
If you have used this tool before then use the top browse button and select the folder you downloaded to them previously.
Step 1: Select from list
Select which updates you want in the list, i.e. Windows 7 x64. If you selected a previous folder then W7T will scan and tell you which updates are new and move the old ones to a folder called 'Old'
Step 2: Select Updates
Once selected W7T will show you a list of updates and all of the ones you don't have should be clicked.
Step 3: Start
Press 'Download' and watch your updates download.
INFO:
Some updates go into sub-folders because they only need installing if you have that specific feature installed and they're not always needed.

That option only disables it when WinToolkit starts. LOL you must have went literally as soon as you clicked start as it usually prompts immediately. I wanted that message to ALWAYS appear for various reasons when starting AIO.
I will add a 15 second timer, so if it hasn't been clicked within 15 seconds. The message will automatically close.

Legolash2o got a reaction from digital john in The Little Things
Hey guys it's time for the next round of 'The Little Things' thread. Most of you will know what this thread is for, if you don't then read below. I'm continuously looking to make Win Toolkit clean, sleek and as perfect as possible. I also love feedback (good or bad) about how things can be better.
Whoever gives the most overall feedback gets a key to remove those adverts within Win Toolkit!
This thread is NOT for:
Requests Bugs
This thread is FOR:
Spelling mistakes General feedback GUI mistakes or glitches, i.e. progress bar is full when it shouldn't be or things that don't look right Small suggestions Tweaks which don't work correctly Tiny suggestions of how something can be tweaked slightly to work or look better. Performance suggestions
NOTE: If you have already made a topic about a bug and it's not fixed yet, then give it a 'bump'.
Posts which have been sorted, fixed, implemented, etc.. will have a strikethough to show that they've been done.

Legolash2o got a reaction from trueblue in [SOLVED] IE10 langpack not integrated in 1.4.1.22
It is definitely fixed. I will upload a test build within the next 10 minutes. Uploaded test build.
Before each update gets integrated, WinToolkit checks if it is already integrated and skips if true. The code which checks for IE10 Langpacks wasn't working and always reported as true so it never got integrated.
Now when a language pack for IE gets integrated, it checks if they're files in C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\fr-FR. If they're files in it, it will report back true. To sum it up, the langpack never got integrated as WinToolkit thought it had already been done.

Legolash2o got a reaction from Stimpy in [Solved] WinToolkit 1.41.26 Unknown Mount Error
After further investigation, it should have integrated fine even though it's red. It's because it says 'ALL' rather than 'fr-FR' or 'pl-PL', etc... I will fix once i am back from a nice meal at the pub

Legolash2o got a reaction from sigbin in What are GDR, LDR and QFE Updates?
Oh yeah, the image size would be the same but using LDR mode would make the image bigger than using default GDR mode.
