  1. Do you think you can make a switchless installer out of Everything 1.2.1.451a (latest build) also? Thanks in advance
  2. Optional Requests (it's up to you to consider if they're worth implementing from an efficiency or benefits / time spent perspective): 1. Make the AIO app multi-runs qualified The current behaviour is like this: If after a single run of AIO tool, in which I chosed for example to integrate some updates, I then choose to make other changes but I'm not exiting W7T, changes like integrating drivers, on my second run not only the drivers are integrated but also the updates from the first run again. If I choose to integrate some tweaks in the third run, updates are integrated alongside for the third time, and drivers for the second time. For this not to happen, I think it's best that somehow in the example above the updates will become unticked after the integration process took place in the first run, so that in the second run of the AIO tool they won't integrate again. You know if it's worth the effort of implementing this, or only to specify somewhere (very visible in W7T) that it's best to make all the changes in the same run. 2. Updates are always beeing integrated first / operations from the AIO tool are prioritised Can you prioritize the operation that take place in the AIO tool, if they aren't already prioritised? An obvious reason is that the Improve USB Storage devices performance tweak needs KB2581464 to be implemented. The proritisation may be like: Updates, then drivers integration, then component removal, then tweaks & services, and at last addons&silent installers and other stuff. Nlite/vlite have similar behaviours. 3. Suggestion / Question In the ast session preset of AIO tool, are you sure you want to preserve the last section - options? I'm asking from the perspective of making these presets work with future builds of W7T, that may include other options pre-ticked. Why not including the options of the AIO tool in the options of your app? It's also easier I think for the user to find all the options in one place...
  3. Virtuality surpasses life of virtue

  4. Question: Are the main&general W7T options ''Check Images'' and ''Verify Images'' working when checked? I'm asking because I didn't notice any slowdowns or more time spent when those options are ticked. Why not leave them pre-ticked by default? Only a question, not even a suggestion. And I can also confirm the bug everyone is experiencing with build 43.
  5. softexia isn't exactly legit because they allow users to post serials and stuff like that in the comments. But the links to the OEM versions are totally legit (digitalriver msft) EDIT: also, the links are leaked for ~ 2 weeks (15 august). So I ASSUMED that if they'll find some abnormalities in the traffic of their servers, it's possible to change them.
  6. ALL of them are OEM versions, and can be used for 30 days. I hope you are not asking us for a way to activate your copy of windows... @Legolash2o - I've edited my last post with additional info
  7. Yes, but they are live for 2 weeks for digitalriver's users, so they may change at some point. EDIT: Also, they have the same MD5 as the may releases from technet, so they include KB2534111 which is in Solor's pack - maybe you should also include this info somewhere, for users to skip KB2534111 integration.
  8. I don't understand why anyone would want to integrate sp1 when Microsoft is offering images of windows 7 with sp1 pre-slipstremed by them. You can find here links to OFFICIAL images of windows 7 with SP1 from Microsoft servers.
  9. A cosmetic but frustrating bug for the latest v43 release... when it starts it shows a warning that there is a newer v42 version And BTW... the new tweaks panel with 4 columns is just WOW
  10. WOW!!! Great! You can (please) delete my other tweaks request thread! :dancing:
  11. @sirtex I don't intend to debate with noone because this is not the purpose of this thread, but the EASIEST way to tweak windows to run faster when a ssd is present is to run Windows Experience Index imediatelly after windows install (& installing the drivers, of course). windows is auto-optimizing itself (only 7, preferably sp1) after this depending on the grade storage device got. you don't have to believe me, believe him for example (pages 203 or 394 of the .pdf) ... and he's more trustworthy than all the mini-blogs-advices you can give me put together. of course there are some additional tweaks that can give VERY little boosts to the ssds, and some ways of using windows that protect the ssd by minimazing the writes on it or that maximizes the space available, but some of them unfortunately are potentially dangerous or even shams. end of my intervention, i won't be offtopic no more. sorry.

  13. 1. Cosmetic bug - if I add multiple installers at once, they're not preserving their file names, as you can see here (the given names are from the metadata of the programs used to make silent installers). Maybe you should consider a different option/button to add multiple installers - you decide. 2. A working tweak (if there is one) for ,,Remove the action Center". Tested the current one on a live system - does nothing; 3. A working tweak for ,,Disable Drive Autorun". Tested the current one on a live system - does nothing; 4. A working tweak for ,,Add OpenCMD Here option to context menu". Tested the current one on a live system - although the option is present in the context menu, it doesn't start cmd (it's just for show) Maybe this will help - please test it [/s] [s][HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas][/s] [s]@="Open Command Prompt Here"[/s] [s]"HasLuaShield"=""[/s] [s]"NoWorkingDirectory"=""[/s] [s]"Icon"="cmd.exe"[/s] [s][HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\runas\command][/s] [s]@="cmd.exe /s /k pushd \"%V\""[/s] [s] 5. The startup tweak ,,Disable Welcome Center" is vista only - maybe it's best you delete it. Windows 7 comes without such a nasty feature turned on. 6. The system tweak ,,Disable Bandwidth Limit" has no description. Please add a warning (aside your wanted description) like: ,,It may make windows update alot slower and even make some utilities that depend on QoS unstable" 7. The system tweak ,,Disable CPU Parking" - maybe you should add to the description that it's an Intel CPU only tweak and it's not recommended for mobile computers; 8. The system tweak ,,Enable Large system cache" has no description. Please add a warning (aside your wanted description) like: ,,Not recommended for speedy SSDs. Windows Experiece Index disables this feature if such a SSD is detected". More info - here. There are some weird folks out there who recommend just the opposite, to enable back such a win7 feature on a SSD, to protect it by limiting the writes made on the SSD. Probably they have plastic covers on their sofas also. 9. The system tweak ,,Increase file system memory cache size" - is BOGUS and maybe it's best you delete it. Or at least write a warning in the description that it's a controversed tweak, that may bring no performance improvements. More info here. 10. The system tweak ,,Optimize Large Second Level Cache" has no description, so I dunno what it does. Please post its content. If it only declares a value for the Second Level Cache of the CPU, it's dangerous for systems that have CPUs with lower second level cache. 11. The system tweak ,,Seting the processor scheduling to programs/background services" - please add to the description that if changing the normal value from balanced to programs may have disastrous results for the performance and outputs of file servers and audio editing applications.
  14. -1 for sample music. It's a very dangerous tweak - without that samples windows experience cannont be run, and windows experience is the most important factor for ssd optimizing, since after windows gives a note to the ssd (primary hard disk), it auto-optimizes itself by switching off some services and other unneeded stuff. At least write (smth like) this in the description, Lego.
  15. SORRY for my last reply, I found out what was the external factor that made win7 toolkit much slower (I considered all the software possibilities - i don't use an antivirus at all, even reinstalled windows, after reading the feedback) - it was a hardware problem. I forgot I tested various SATA controllers, and I've left my SSD on the Marvell port. After switching back to the Intel port, win7 toolkit is BLAZING fast again! :dancing: It eludes me why this really strange behaviour is happening on the Marvell port... perhaps the Marvell driver has some poor performance figures regarding disk caching... because in all the banchmarks the performance wasn't so terrifying. I'll post some request shortly... I hope they'll catch the 1.3.0 beta train. And thank you very much for your great app support.
  16. Unfortunately, the same slowdown with mounting/unmounting is manifesting with build 37 as with build 36 (and previous) on my system. It's not related with imagex x64, since the slowdown is the same either with imagex x86, either with imagex x64. I dunno how I can help, the behaviour is just the same, so please see my previous screenshots. It's only frustrating for an old user, who knows your app can be a little quicker, but for a new user is A-OK. Heck, rt7lite is much more slower and much more problematic. So if you can't fix it back, it's no biggie. I'll be back tommorow with some requests after further testing your app.
  17. @Legolash2o Great!!! @MANIKANT.S.GUPTA their servers were down 'till a few minutes ago because of the Irene hurricane. try again.
  18. dunno if this would help.. either there's a bug in imagex x64, either the caching process is a little weird with imagex x64. that's my opinion why not switch back to only imagex x86 and see if the slowdown is still there?
  19. Sorry if you've got me wrong... I was reffering to multitasking (win7 toolkit, and a second task like browsing - google chrome, and I third task like enjoying music with vlc). So: 1. Pauses during any task that involves mounting/unmounting with Imagex, regardless if I ONLY run win7 Toolkit or with another task (Chrome, vlc) at the same time. 2. 0%. That's Imagex %. although you may conclude it's not imagex related, i've told you - with an older build this didn't happen on the SAME system. 3. you've lost me a little. like i've said at 1., it pauses during any task that involves mounting/unmounting with Imagex.
  20. For build 36, you can have 2 screenshots here and here regarding the slowdown. So Imagex x64 not only is taking alot to mount/unmount win7 images, but also making my system become unresponsive, with pauses for a second/third task (if I want to do something else on my system, like browsing). This didn't happen with older builds (like build 21 if I remember correctly). Oh, and not to forget... I wanted to congratulate you about the tweaks and services in AIO... now everything works (I'm reffering only to the integrating process, if the tweaks really work on a live system I'll find out later), a week ago I got strage errors. :dancing: Also, I believe it's better if you would add some explanations to what the following system tweaks really do: ''disable bandwidth limit'', ''increase file system memory cache size'' and ''optimize large second level cache''. And I believe a tweak is only vista related, and you maybe you should delete it: ''disable welcome center''.
  21. i can confirm that. even with build 36, even with the latest Imagex x64, and both loading and saving the image. if the problem appeared when adding Imagex x64, can you please switch back to only using Imagex x86 only for your next build, to see if everything is ok again? and please use the latest x86 build...
  22. why not? all you have to do is use windows 7 toolkit and those updated links posted above... this for win7 x64, and this for win7 x86. the result after win7 installation? ie8 ie replaced by ie9
  23. In build 35 the systems doesn't freeze, but the massive slowdown is still there. Hope the new Imagex will fix this also in build 36. And just for info's sake, in build 35 Imagex is 6.1.7600.16385, while in that update that ricktendo posted is 6.1.7600.20931. And if you still need my mount log... [3472] [ INFO ] Mounting new image. Wim: [C:\7ulx64sp1\sources\install.wim] Image Index: [4] Mount Path: [C:\W7T\Mount] [3472] [ INFO ] Wimserv process started for guid 8834ad68-366f-4720-8bd2-3530c5fa29f0. I see you've updated the x86 mediafire DISM files (for vista and xp users), but not for x64...
  24. The latest v33 build seems VERY unstable. I'm not able to mount an image (windows 7 sp1 ultimate x64 oem untouched) with this build. You can see here a printscreen. This bug is Imagex 100% related. Also on build 31 it mounted the image very slow. This didn't happen with build 21 for example (from a week ago). Maybe it's only related to my system (core i5 2500k 3.3 GHz, 4 gigs of ram, sandforce 2 ssd, win7 ultimate x64), so I ask others to confirm/infirm my trouble.
