  1. Do as suggested above, except move all of the non-integrated drivers to their own DVD.  Over at the driverpacks website, there is a solution for an all inclusive install media that will install only what your computer needs.  (It uses a batch file to scan your drivers and only add those that need to be added.)

are you referring to driverpack solution?  http://driverpacks.net/docs/driverpack-solution

Yes there is a way. Don't integrate them into the image.

Only integrate chipset, mass storage and maybe USB3 if you need it.

All the rest of drivers should be placed in a folder called "Drivers" in the root of the install media. The installer will scan the folder and only the needed drivers will be installed.

where is usb3 located?  i am looking at http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/latest but I don't see a specific usb listing.  is it under misc?

  2. over a 12 hour period i tried 7 or 8 times and it never worked. every single time the same thing would happen.  then i tried using the sendspace 'download manager' and surprisingly it worked the first time. unfortunately the download manager also installed a bunch of junk on my computer, but i wonder why or how it would not let me finish/complete the download all the previous times.

also, when i extracted part 1 and 2 there were 3 additional compressed files.

    WUClient-SelfUpdate-ActiveX-x64

    WUClient-SelfUpdate-Aux-TopLevel-x64

    WUClient-SelfUpdate-Core-TopLevel-x64

i am unsure what to do with these. do i extract them as well? do i just leave them alone?  my hunch is that i can just delete them but i want to make sure.

  3. having some trouble with the download. I've tried downloading x64 part 1 & 2 a few times but every time i try to extract the files with winrar i get this message "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged"

could it be a corrupt download?  part 1 seems very strange it takes 30+ minutes to download but it does not complete at the last second.

edit: tried downloading part 1 again 3 more times on another machine and got the same result.  according to the download progress it downloaded 175mb but it is hanging at the end.  it says the estimated time to complete the download is 1 second, but it has been hanging at 1 second mark.  if i cancel the download with 1 second remaining and try to extract it, then i get the winrar error message above. i left it alone for an hour and when i came back the download had timed out :(

  4. Which link for msfn?

The link i have given are not at msfn.

BTW, the list in the link are on the basis of them from steven4554 (and other people).

yes, i know :)   i was just commenting that the one from msfn was the one i used previously.   the other comment I made was abou when i made that comment above I also put a link to the msfn website,  but wincert automatically removed it.   but it is actually the same link as mentioned by mooms in his first post (ces listes alternatives).  I guess since mooms is a mod he can add msfn links, but non-mods can't for some reason :)

  5. not to be rude, but i hope someone could possibly mirror moom's files.  it has taken over 30 minutes just to download part 1 :(

it might not be so bad if that site allowed more than 1 download at a time.

edit: oh, these haven't been updated since march?  oops my mistake.

I suppose I can just use this  http://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/12103-update-list-gdr-pour-windows-7-sp1-x86x64-17-mai-2014/ instead?

  6. EA sucks.  i just absolutely loath that company. Just an awful company all around.  they 'acquire' companies, sometimes good companies that used to make great games, and reduce them to a former shell of themselves all for the sake of squeezing out every penny from people.  i know that doesn't help your situation, but i had to mention it lol.  lets take dungeon keeper for example.  if anyone remember that game from way back.. well take a look at this

just a complete bastardization of the originals.

edit: for those that don't know, EA bought popcap a few years back.

  7. It might have already been resolved since I noticed there was more than one version uploaded today.

    earlier today I downloaded WinToolkit_1.4.36.1

but I got a total of 5 error logs, but they all basically said the same thing.  It looks like all the update files integrated successfully as it was suppose to... so I'm guessing it is a minor bug?

ps I noticed that it tried to upload the error log to some file upload site.  But i think it gave me an error on that too.  Do you actually get those?

    ***BASIC***
    Error setting taskbar value.

    ***EXTENDED***

    ***EXCEPTION***
    Value cannot be null.
    InnerException:

    or

    ***BASIC***
    Error setting taskbar state.

    ***EXCEPTION***
    Value cannot be null.

  8. don't know if my problem is related to this topic, but i have been experiencing a lot of heavy lag when trying to access the website.  It takes appx 30 seconds or longer to access the website, then another 30+ when i click on a forum, then another 30+ to log in, and another 30+ when i hit a reply button.  It has only been doing this for maybe a couple weeks now.

i did a trace rout too, and i noticed a part that times out.  but i don't know enough about this stuff on how to interpret the results.

(this part below is where it times out)

edit: wincert seemed to be faster today so i ran it again to see if there was any change.  there was only 1 timeout this time. but look at #12 :g:

I still have no idea what any of this means :P
