  8. :help: Sorry everybody, excuse me... Updated: Microsoft Experienced Pack for Windows Vista Ported to Xp (Above) -> V2: - For All Users (Installed by administration rights) - Fixed Ink Crosswords (+Added More Offline Games Options) and Flashcards (COM Registration) - Fixed Registry Settings and environment variables - Etc - MD5 Checksum (DF6F942F3D8D27532145CD6F5660FBC7) coz the code changed lol If you already have downloaded and installed it before, you can just redownload and reinstall. Done. That's all. Sorry n' Thx, Cya - Amirz ============================================ ADDED ONES: ... Additional MCE and Tablet PC Stuffs for Xp : It reminds me about MSFN/Rafael "Xp Ultimate" project several years ago ...although it's been "officially" removed on their sites, but you can still find and download some torrents of it though...). However you can still create your own "Xp Ultimate yourself", more customizable by converting Xp Pro/Home to either or both Xp MCE 2005 and Xp Tablet PC 2005 (OSes). Since they are supersets of Xp Pro with add ons (still based on same code base), hopefully there's no compatibility issue (exception maybe some OEM or unsigned drivers and settings though i.e Tablet PC 2005 basic driver is not compatible with my Toshiba Notebook OEM Battery driver, btw based on my own experience) and don't worry, there's no Xp Pro/Home feature removed. Here is the simple way without need to reinstall/reformat the OS (you may need some tools that can be downloaded/googled below). Anyway Good luck: ============================================== - Convert Xp Pro/Home/MCE 2005 to Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS without reinstalling the OS: If you really want to convert Xp to real Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS without reinstalling/reformatting the OS (it will be recognized as original MCE 2005 by MS and updated!). Useful i.e you have Tablet PC with Vista installed but still want to: dual boot it with Xp but you only have original Xp Pro. Just convert it to Xp Tablet PC for free. 1) Install: -Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 -Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0.3705 and It's SP3. -Copy "Copy2Gac.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705" -Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 and its SP1. 2) Navigate : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA and create a key named TabletPC now add a string value named "Installed" and set as 1 Or directly double click "TabletPC.reg" to merge it into registry->Optional though to finally convert the OS to Xp Tablet PC 2005 as you can see the System Properties changed. But finally the system will still be Tablet PC 2005 OS after some MS updates and boots though. Install Tablet PC 2005 U can replace below commands for MCE later or add both MCE+TPC with these commands Get tabletpc.inf (included) .copy to C:\windows\inf\ ; then Run following commands to install Tablet PC components: Open Command Prompt (Run -> Type "CMD" without Quotes) or directly double click"TABLETPC.cmd" to run the Tablet PC commands (included). rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection TPG 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection System 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection OOBE 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection Notebook 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection StickyNotes 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection AllShortcuts 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection SRInstall 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection AllReg 128 tabletpc.inf C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\Copy2Gac.exe /i /a /p:"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Ink\1.7\" Note: After executing command, it will open new dialog window and ask you to navigate/browse to where you placed TabletPC.cab. Follow and do it. To make Tablet PC Input Panel etc working/updated, just download and reinstall SP2/SP3 on Xp. Done. - Download Xp to Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS transformation package (no need to reinstall the OS), guide included: Name : Convert_Xp_to_Xp_Tablet_PC_2005.zip Size : 71 Mb MD5 :24fa6c9fb208ba60c81eb8f30fff6f43 http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Conve...let_PC_2005.zip After that, please download and/or reinstall SP2 or SP3 for Xp (SP3 is recommended since it's the last one) (i.e to fix/update Tablet PC Input Panel version etc) or using Windows Update. Xp SP2: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=049C9DBE-3B8E-4F30-8245-9E368D3CDB5A&displaylang=en Xp SP3: http://www.microsoft.com/DownLoads/details.aspx?FamilyID=5b33b5a8-5e76-401f-be08-1e1555d4f3d4&displaylang=en The process is not reversible/uninstallable though... ========================================= - Convert Xp Pro/Home/Tablet PC to Xp MCE 2005 without reinstalling the OS: If you really want to convert Xp to real Xp MCE 2005 OS without reinstalling/reformatting the OS (it will be recognized as original MCE 2005 by MS and updated!) Some files already included in the package (mediactr.cab, inf so on). You can download my package below (1.)Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0.3705 and It's SP3. Copy "Copy2Gac.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705" (Optional) Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 and its SP1. Install WMP 10 or 11 and Supported MCE DVD Decoder such as ones from NVIDIA, Sonic, or WinDVD. (2.)modify MCE registry Open regedit.exe, goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA, create key named

I hope i or somebody will port it later (i havent tried it though coz i'm lazy since it's beta with time limitation after afew months, only installed it in my Vista and yes it doesnt f**ing run in Xp). Anyhow (customized) Xp Movie Maker is still good for me...

  13. Official Microsoft WMP Brilliant Black Skin (Original Skin From MS Touch Pack - Codenamed Origami Project) Hello Everybody. This is the Official Microsoft WMP Skin: Brilliant Black for Windows Media Player, it was originally from Microsoft Touch Pack for UMPC OEM (UMPC: Ultra Mobile Personal Computer, Codenamed Origami - with Xp Tablet PC and Vista OSes, powered by Microsoft and Intel also some big OEMs). Seems it was never officially launched for PC users before (sorry if somebodoy had ever posted/uploaded this) but i have extracted and uploaded the skin here. You can also use it for any Windows Media Player in PC/Laptop/Tablet PC with Xp and/or Vista... Requirements: - Windows Xp and Windows Vista All Editions (Not tested yet in other OSes but supposedly yes) - Windows Media Player 9, 10, 11 or higher Features: The skin has built in color/theme changer (wallpaper?) feature (one option is optimized for Windows 7-like theme/color"Blue Aurora" or whatever as i called it if i'm not wrong lol sorry  , as you can see the screenshot below), also High quality graphics, based on metallic black and silver color, proportional size etc, very good in wide screen (16:9) or Tablet screen etc, i dont know more or you can explore it yourself later. If you use it on WMP in Tablet PC, this skin has been optimized for touch screen feature etc. But again, you can still use it in any PC/Laptop as well. It looks very cool for me and some of my friends. If you're interested, then you can also download and give it a try. Just double click "Brilliant Black.wmz" skin file to extract and apply the skin as usual. You can remove it easily later if you don't like it. Enjoy for free... - Screenshot in Xp with "Blue Aurora" color mode (or whatever) enabled: - Download Brilliant Skin for Xp/Vista: File Name: Official WMP Briliant Black Skin (From MS Touch Pack).zip Size: 3,38 Mb MD5 Checksum:BE50815B5EBE505842C5D3A1B55C94BF http://www.4shared.com/file/75743817/7a5b6...ouch_Pack_.html Thx to MS 4 this , Cheers!
  14. Thanx Rick for the info, yes i already know that how to convert Xp to MCE before (unattended and/or without reformatting) i.e by using your add on (thx it's the best one as far i know) etc and i already have the OSes (they are original MCE one and the "hacked" Xp Pro version), but seems most people here thought/will think Hamed's pack is a real Vista/Xp MCE software installer (though actually not as you said: bit deceptive, agreed), so i just wanted to correct it (please read the sub-title: "Windows Media Center for Xp"??? should be: "Windows Media Center Skin/Theme for Xp") :icon_cool: wow i will try your Vista skin in your DA, thx alot Rick! i have also made my own MCE skin before but yours looks awesome! EDIT: Update (By me) :sweatingbullets: Lol dedicated for everybody here: Download Windows Media Center Installer for Xp Pro/Home/Tablet and Server 2003 SP2/SP3 and Server 2003: -> (MCE 2005 Post Rollup 2 with Vista GUI port) Installer, uninstallable, without hacking/changing the OS and system files to get Windows Media Center application installed. Full tweaked with full Vista Media Center GUI skin for Xp (The best by far): http://www.4shared.com/file/81804447/ba587..._Installer.html Prerequisites: .Net Framework 1.1 SP1 and WMP 10/WMP 11 (WMP 11 is recommended). Also MPEG-2/DVD Decoder and some codecs installed to play DVD and some other 3rd party multimedia files in MCE (Note included). Hardware limitation has been removed (fully tweaked) so even you can install it on old machine! If you already have Windows Xp MCE 2005 OS installed, then what you only need is to download this Vista Skin for Xp MCE 2005 (to make Xp Media Center look like Vista all the way!) -> Fully tweaked and enhanced Vista-like GUI: Screenshot of Vista Skin for Xp MCE 2005 : Well it's still not 100% perfect yet though, but at least still better than nothing for Xp ...(Thanx alot to my good friend Ricktendo64 (Author of Windows Sidebar installer/add on 4 Xp in Wincert) for kind permission to use some of his DA skin resource also MythemesMCE...) - Download Vista Skin for Xp Media Center 2005 above (The best one by far): http://www.4shared.com/file/83004700/39da0...p_MCE_2005.html Windows Plus! Digital Media Enhancement (Windows Dancer, Party Mode, CDLM, AC) ported to Xp Pro, Home, Vista, 7: http://www.4shared.com/file/81824918/25885...blet_Vista.html Original Windows MCE 2005 Screensavers (Aquarium, Davinci, Space, Nature) ported to Xp/2003/Vista: http://www.4shared.com/file/83009263/228ee...nd_Space__.html Original Windows MCE 2005 Skins, themes, cursors, wallpapers etc for all Windows OSes: http://www.4shared.com/file/83016102/4430f...papers_etc.html - Guide (Converting Xp Pro/Home to Xp MCE 2005 OS): TheGreenButton: Installing Media Center 2005 on WinXP Home or Pro and avoiding a clean install: credits to tmksnyder, TheGreenButton : http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/18937.aspx
  15. Lol sorry corrected very very deceptive as i have recently tried that, it only installs MCE theme and skin without MCE itself (it just asks about Xp MCE 2005 CD2 during installation process). Hamed should explain about the fact more clearly to people here that it doesnt contain any required MCE file (i.e mediactr.cab) for installing Media Center software directly. Not much useful for Xp Pro or Home. Nice pack though...
  16. Wow just saw this one here thx N1K
