Have you move KB3020609 and KB2670838 in the prerequisite section of Wintoolkit (right-clic on the update --> move to prerequisites) ? If no that's why you can't integrate the Convenience Rollup.

The convenience package KB3125574 still gets a ? when integrating. I moved kb2670838 to prerequisites. I cannot find KB3020609 anywhere in the UL lists that I use.

    regards...

  2. I just started the convenience integration. BTW, I use win 7_64 Home Premium. while doing integration in WTK there were 4 updates that don't integrate properly (message) and wanted to be put with the silents. They are 3020369, 2603229, 3046269 and I believe another ending in 2352. I did not have them go to silent because I believe that 2352 update takes forever to install. but I might be wrong.

I will report back with the final results.

You can use 2 different methods to make an updated ISO : the classic one, or the Convenience Rollup pack method. Both methods work (ie no update will be asked by WU at first check). You just have to select the method you prefer.

The Convenience Rollup pack method is faster (approximately 50 updates to integrate), and after installation saves > 1 Go in your HDD compared to classic method. You can add the Additional updates, RDP updates, or Windows 10 related updates if you want, with the 2 methods. Convenience Rollup method needed some little adjustment with updates orders and non-needed updates, but now it's OK !

These ULs contain all the minimum updates required to satisfy WU. If you want something more complete, you can use the list provided by WHD (for specific questions,  abbodi1406 is THE REFERENCE !).

I sugest to you to create an ISO from the scratch instead of updating a precedent version, your installation will be cleaner.

I see the new list has 6/22/16 as the date so its very much updated. are you saying to take that 6/22 UL into WUD, download convenience rollup pack (1), the common and convenience rollup and classic updates (50), classic integration (no rdp) (2), IE updates (1), additional updates (4) and integrate them using WTK with a clean win 7_64 sp1 media refresh ISO and I DON'T need the classic updates (151)? Or should I do this to liam's April 2016 ISO? Then the final iso will pass SFC and there will hardly be any new updates when manually checking WU after iso install?

    regards...

  4. guys thanks again for this "wealth" of links, tools, info etc. unfortunately it comes with me asking some nubie questions. I try to figure things out first by reading what you guys are doing and the info you trade back and forth among yourselves. I made a new win 7 iso, experimenting, and tried using that deep clean msu you provided. while in my vm after the iso install I ran the deep clean msu and it said it was not for my version of windows. I am using win 7_64 and the _64 deep clean msu. is there a pre-requisite or something else I'm missing?

    regards...

  5. guys I was experimenting with WTK and the June updates. I took a win 7_64_sp1 media refresh iso and tried integrating the convenience updates. There were 43 of them. the rollout 3125574 never got a green check. instead a ?. when I used the classic updates before this kb2533552 was put in the silent. its taking forever to complete the install. stuck on that KB2533552. also the convenience WTK try failed but the log file is too large to attach...apparently when doing the convenience I am doing something wrong...

ps...looks like kb2533552 got into my silent list on the convenience package WTK. somehow liam integrated this KB into his april iso. If I use the Liams april ISO which updates in WUD should I choose?

KB3145739 was installed on my system 10 days ago, when I last reinstalled my OS, and is still in place.  Having it didn't help my initial scan and install today after patch Tuesday.  Unless you're saying that I should have uninstalled it and reinstalled it before today's updates?  Or maybe that I should be happy with my experiences today because they would have been even worse if I didn't have KB 3145739 installed? LOL

Glad to see you around Liam!

[OT]  @Liam, if I could please ask a favor.  At this point anyone that installs Windows 7 probably wants to keep Windows 7 and doesn't want to upgrade downgrade to Windows 10.  So the next time you make your updated ISO could you please NOT include the following KB's: KB971033, KB2952664, KB3021917, KB3035583, KB3068708, KB3080149, and KB3123862.  Assuming that an install of your ISO passes SFC and can still be updated by the user with those updates or any other updates that come up in the future, then I think that your ISO would appeal to the widest audience possible. Thanks for considering my request. [/OT]

    Cheers and Regards

liam yes this is a good suggestion. july 29th is around the corner and no one knows what Microsoft is going to do with the "free" offer. just one client of many that I have dealt with wanted the free win 10. all others want win 7.

NOTE: on the april iso (updated to may 18) having trouble updating in WU>>>>I left the clients computer on overnight. I changed the power options to HIGH PERFORMANCE" so it would not sleep. In the morning the little blue icon was showing near the clock indicating there were updates to be installed. There were only 2 (file validation and june malicious tool). So it seems that what others are saying about WU is true. The servers are slow et al. ISO is GOOD!!

    regards...

  7. I just ran sfc on this april iso and it passes. I also ran win update on my main computer (using it to write this) and it took a little longer than usual but found 12 new updates which have to be the newest just released. The april iso using manual winupdate has the red X saying it has never been checked or run. Its still checking some 20 minutes or so...

if my computer found 12 new updates then it cant be Microsoft servers. I believe lego is making a new iso. maybe that will solve the problem....

    regards...

  8. thiersee you have been very helpful. I didn't know anything about this convenience rollup. now I understand much more. so it does seem like its almost a sp2 for win 7? what I am doing as I write is using lego's april iso which I ASSume has the convenience rollup. not sure how he made it. I am not introducing anything update wise from may or june. its almost finished. it has my silent installs and some minor component removals, net 4.6, and some files I use placed on the desktop for convenience. I will do an sfc and winupdate and report back in a few minutes.

since 2 monthes, M$ servers are busy and saturated the 3 days following Patch Tuesday. Even on my Windows 10 installation it was very long to obtain the updates. My opinion : WU needs a fix or M$ should revise the manner to obtain updates.

I have to say I now disagree with this theory. I just tried updating again. my working computers are getting new updates for defender regularly. On a working computer if you do a manual check for updates and there aren't any win update informs you. on the non working one it just keeps CHECKING. It never ends. Win update is corrupted somehow on my ISO and I can't figure it out. This is no way to create an updated slipstreamed ISO. I am giving people a corrupted win 7 setup from the get go. somehow when all these updates get integrated something is amiss....very frustrating..

yes that theory at this point makes the most sense. It was even suggested in some of the blogs I visited when trying to repair. I'll check it out later.

Yes it's due to the fact I putted " " in the name of the fisrt category, it causes a crash if you have checked "category as subfolder" option. Uncheck it or wait for the next UL release, I've corrected that.

yes I unchecked subfolder and now it works. thanks. Now that I can see the files what are the first 2 "convenience" updates as compared to the "classic". From recollection these are new to me. Am I supposed to COMBINE both categories? In other words should I incorporate BOTH into my ISO?

At the moment my VM (installed with Conv-Rollup) searches since 1 hour....

I know this might be difficult to answer but I'm at my wits end. I am using an april 2016 win 7_64 updated ISO made by LEGO. I have incorporated the May 2016 updates from this thread. On some machines I cannot get windows update to find any new updates. It just keeps searching for hours. However on other machines it works fine. It worked on my VM (on my main computer) because I always test the new ISO I create. The latest machine I used it on yesterday still cannot get past finding any new updates. Initially this machine also failed sfc after I used all my silent installs, including mbam, ccleaner, cryptoprevent, GWX, adobe FP, reader dc, googletoolbar. However, sfc corrected the files. I ran sfc again and then it PASSED. I thought that was the reason  for winupdate to not work but winupdate still searching. I then took another HD in this machine, did a new install with same ISO and immediately did an sfc (passed) and then checked for updates. It's still searching....grrrr

When this iso works this is the scenario: 5 minutes after the installation if you manually go to win update there will be in my case about 12 or so updates ready to get installed. If after 5 minutes you manually go to win update and it wants you to search for new updates I know its futile. In addition I have tried literally a dozen fixes via google searches for a repair and nothing works. spent hours and am totally frustrated. I cant seem to get a working ISO. I wrote to lego and even he is stumped. using wtk 1.5.4.4....

    Hello,

    @non-french users :

Here are x86 and x64 Update lists for WUD based on mooms Update packs and configured to be used with Win Toolkit. The purpose of these ULs is to integrate the minimum updates required, so you won't have any update asked by Windows Update after integration and installation. These ULs don't include Silverlight and .net Framework 4.x, but you can DL their updated version in the Installer Repack section of this forum and integrate them via "Silent install + SFX" section of Win Toolkit. With .net framework and MRT integrated, your Win7 installation will be up-to-date. Some updates can't be integrated offline, they are renamed zWindowsXXX.msu so you can find them easily and integrate them via "Silent installer + SFX" section of Wintoolkit or via Setupcomplete.cmd. For those who don't want migrate to Windows 10 and install telemetry related updates, just run HideW10KB script at the end of installation. You can also install GWX Control Panel or Never10 to definitively block W10 migration (no action on telemetry related updates). Some people have reported SFC /scannow errors after integration ; to check it, add the SFC.exe script after HideW10KB in the list of programs.

These ULs have been tested in a VM with Professional edition of Windows 7 before publication. But if you use an other edition, some KBs may be useless (ex. : KB2973351 for Home Premium) ; in this case please perform a deep clean after installation, and report obsolete KBs in this topic (I only test Professional edition, I have no time for the others). Please have a look on Read-me file in the archive for more information. If you don't write french no problem, most of us understand English !

for some reason the June 8, 2016 files (ulz) for x86 and x64 are giving errors in WUD "illegal characters in path". I never had an issue before..

Another donation coming after I write this. WTK v.1 has been an indispensible tool for me. I also thank you for updating the wtk win 7 iso's for april 2016 and hope you will do so from time to time. would also be nice if some win 10 iso's are eventually forthcoming. Also hope that v.2 gets finished. keep up the great work. thx buddy...

    Hello,

Have you checked with an other integrator (previous versions of Wintoolkit, or NTLite), or have you tried other list (WHD one with more updates) ? In my case I'm using DISM from Windows 10.1511, I have no more possibility to test with Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 ones. I wonder how integrating updates is causing such errors. Since 08/2015 some updates have been superseeded, so no need to integrate them, and the new ones are integrating good. Nevermind, I prefer to launch a sfc /scannow command at the end of ISO installation (it takes max 2-5 min) instead of download all required updates since SP1 pack was released.

I used WTK v.1.5.4.4 to make my dec 2015 win 7 disk and it passes sfc. in the past when I used rt seven that always and I mean always failed sfc. that was the reason I went on a quest and found WTK. Since using wtk my iso's have always passed sfc. that is why I was so surprised to see it fail (and yes sfc did repair the error(s)). I am using virtualbox and have deleted that particular installation. for now I am sticking with my 12_08_2015 dvd that passes. I am going on an extended vacation so I will not be able to post any log files till I return (APRIL). apparently its one of the new updates. the only other change I made was updating 1 or 2 of the silent installers (adobe reader). The main reason for the post was to alert others. most people I find do not run sfc. thx for the replies. Regards....

  16. I don't know why but my 12/815 win 7_64 home premium iso after installation passes sfc /scannow 100%. I am using WTK 1.5.4.4. after using the 12/8/15 folder and updating it to 1/12/16 the same resulting iso does not pass sfc /scannow. it finds corrupted system files and corrects them but if I have to run sfc after every installation this is useless. regards...

It doesn't seem like the REPLACE check box is doing its job. Or even beyond that it seems that all prior files are always included even though they are not in the newly created ISO. Strange that no one else has responded with similar results.

Does anyone have any thoughts, ideas comments? Regards...

none that I know of. btw, your oct win7_64 iso suffers from the dreaded meet your browser every time starting IE. might want to fix that in the January files you said you might create.

more importantly is this bug with the desktop. I even changed the syntax to read %systemdrive%\users\scalzo\desktop\

I use the name scalzo in my unattended file as the user name so I don't have any intervention. wtk completes all the way thru silently...
