  1. Is anyone having any problems at all? no spelling mistakes, etc... Just seems quiet that's all. Edit: v24 is out, it has the requested tweaks and the tweaks now show tool-tips when you hover your mouse over them.
  2. No problem, it will be in the next alpha. Don't know when that will be released as I have to add the descriptions to each of the tweaks. That won't take long though
  3. http://www.windows7h...n-in-windows-7/ I will be using the info in the link above, i will be only changing the "ProfileDirectory" value and also a tweak to change the default Public folder location. It seems to work fine EDIT: Done. Anyways as i said before... no more requests please (for now). EDIT: You may notice i've added IE9 BETA to the download list.
  4. You hav two choices you can either set it globally or set each folder seperately. Option1. You change the user folder to ie. D:\%username%\ and all the folders within that automatically become "Favorites"="D:\\%USERNAME%\\Favorites" "Personal"="D:\\%USERPNAME%\\Documents" "My Music"="D:\\%USERNAME%\\Music" "My Pictures"="D:\\%USERNAME%\\Pictures" "My Video"="D:\\%USERNAME%\\Videos Option 2. You can set the music. pictures, videos seperately. As you might want everyone sharing the same Music folder like D:\Music but the rest of the folders are personal. Option1 would be easier for me @Mand. Most people like myself tend to format the drive when we reinstall windows.
  5. This is going to be the main guide on how to integrate addons, as you can see in this part of the forum there are many download containing a ".WA" file, WA means Windows Addon. In order to integrate addons you have to download Windows 7 Toolkit also known as W7T. W7T is the only know program which can integrate Windows Addons, the program can also integrate Updates, Drivers, Tweaks, download the latest updates either official/unofficial to keep your Windows installation disk up-to-date. W7T also has lot's of other tools too! OK, let's begin.... I'm going to assume you already have W7T, so let's do the first step and run it! Step 1: The main window. The main window contains lists of downloads from Updates to Drivers packs and also the famous SoLoR updates. Once it's opened go ahead and click "Tools Manager" Step 2: Tools Manager The Tools Manager is where all the tools are location, as you can see there is quite alot of them, but we are only interested in "AIO Integrator", so double-click that. Step 3: WIM Manager Any tools which require working with an image *.wim file opens this screen, basically what you do is click browse and select your "install.wim" which is usually located in the "sources" folder of your Windows 7 DVD. Make sure you have copied/extracted the disk onto your HDD. After you have selected your install.wim you should now see a list of Windows 7 Editions, select or double-click the item you want to work with, you can also select them all and it will automatically integrate them into all the images you selected but note that it takes longer as it has to mount each image individually! Step 4: AIO Integrator As you can now see you are on the AIO Integrator which lets you integrate Addons, Updates, Drivers and Tweaks. Click "Add Addons" and select your .WA files, you can selected multiple files to save time. Once you have clicked OK it will say that it is adding them to the list, this is where it is getting all the information from the .WA file. Step 5: Starting the process. You can now see that hopefully all the addons you selected are in the list. You can add updates and drivers at this stage if you wish. Once done click Start Integrating!!! This is the part where you can go get a cup of tea, watch T.V. or whatever you want to do. NOTE: On the newer version it asks you if you wish to save the image, click YES. If you have selected multiple images it will just auto save them all. ] That's it, once it says its complete you can go ahead and make a new ISO which you can then install.
  6. WOW! I'm impressed *Reaper* Great work as usual
  7. This program will only work on Windows 7 but there is now an option to ignore this check on this version, just make sure DISM and wimgapi are in the same place as Windows 7 if you are deciding to use Vista! Link Removed If you like using W7T then please tell everyone about it NOTE: This is not the Windows 7 Toolkit which let's you activate Windows. What is Windows 7 Toolkit? Windows 7 Toolkit is designed to let you download updates, drivers, unofficial updates and even addons! There are also tools in the program which lets you integrate all of them too. To access the extra tools click on Tools Manager when you open W7T, so let's have a look at them... Firstly, i thought i'd let you know that W7T is the first program of its kind to integrate your favourite programs into your Windows 7 installation disk! All-In-One Integrator This tool is probably the most famous tool of them all, it allows you to integrate your Updates, Drivers, Addons (*.WA files), Registry Tweaks and comes with a load of tools to help those advanced users including installing your updates in LDR/QFE Mode. Component Removal This tool lets you remove those built-in packages which comes with windows! Windows Media Player/Center, IIS, Inbox Games, Internet Exlorer, the list can go on... Silent Installers This tool lets you add you silent installers, it even gives you the option to prompt you which programs you want to install when Windows has finished installing, letting you install different programs for different computers. Addon Maker This tool his helpful for creating your own addons, although you do need to use a program like InstallWatch to let you know what happens during an installation of a program you want to make into an addon. Capture Image Either add an image to an existing WIM or make a completely new WIM! Feature Manager WIM This tool lets you manage which features are enabled/disabled after installation of Windows.. ISO Maker This one is pretty self-explanatory, let's you create .ISO files to burn onto disk. Registry Hive Mounter Need to edit the registry of a specific WIM Image? Then this is the tool for you, apply you favourite performance tweaks before the OS is even installed!!! WIM Manager This ultimate WIM Manager tools. Rename, Mount, Export, Capture, Rebuild, Apply Unattended and that's just a start. WIM Splitter This tool lets you split your WIM file into multiple *.swm files CAB Installer Installs any cab updates you have to your currently installed OS, even in QFE/LDR mode. CAB Retriever When Windows Update downloads updates, its keeps a cab file in a download folder, this tool gets them so you can integrate them into your image, just incase the main list is not up-to-date. Cleanup Tool Helps cleanup unwanted temp files which W7T forgets to delete after closing and some other stuff. Feature Manager OS Lets you enable or disable features on your currently installed operating system. Language Pack Converter This tool helps you get the lp.cab file from the .exe you download, it can even do a whole bunch in one automated go. However you must be using the same OS version for the language you are converting i.e. x64 Windows for x64 Language Packs or x86 Windows for x86 Language Packs. MSU to CAB Converter Converts those MSU update files to .CAB files. Unattended Creator Quite a new tool so very basic, but lets you create the basic unattended xml file. MSP Extractor Lets you get the .msp file from your Microsoft Office Updates
  8. v20 Beta is ready, going to release it soon
  9. The tool has been re-added in v0.8.0.18 alpha, it seems to be working and even converter x86 language pack files on x64 windows which i couldn't get working before Download
  10. The tool was removed, sometime during the week i will try and add Pre-Converted language packs to the download list so you would be able to download them
  11. There is no documentation, sorry. Click Tools Manager at the top of the main window and you should be ok from there on out
  12. v0.8.0.15 Alpha is out, if find any bugs, please send me a PM. Click here for more info.
  13. No more requests please, i will ask again for v0.9.0. If you wish to discuss an idea then please make a new topic. Thanks.
  14. Practice sure does make perfect, takes its time tho... Dunno about the encoding error either, hmm...
  15. Yeah there is a component causing me BSOD on VirtualBox, i've been trying to pin point it Mand, i've fixed that bug which you can't click start
  16. WOAH!!!! Yeah i tend to just install ONLY the stuff i use, and clear out the startup so it runs efficiently. On another note, i think removing IIS removes .NET 3.5.1 but don't think that will break .NET at all because 3.5.1 is disabled by default.

  19. As soon as i've see which component removals work fine, the components below are safe to remove at will. I am still testing... EDIT: Any which cause the installation to fail will be removed from the list .. EDIT: TH-TECH, when you said after SP1 they display twice, go to the "Package" column, are they different? 20. yeah removing components, if they install i mark them as safe, then i remove more, mark them as if, etc... Silent Installer seems to be working fine EDIT: Safe = can still use Enable or Disable Features thing in Control Panel
  21. fixes that error, more tweaks in AIO Integrator. If you install.wim image is that big, rebuild the image.
  22. Excellent, that would mean I wouldn't have to mount the images
  23. Does it only just copy one file then, I'll definitely have to fully test it then Thanks for testing anyway
  24. I don't think you understand what copy folders do or whatever I called that check box. If it's just one file then don't tick it but for something like Office which has multiple files/folders in the same folder as setup.exe then you tick it. If it's not ticked for something like Office... Then office will say missing files. Like lets say you have a folder with multiple silent install .exe then don't tick it.
  25. Thanks, I will have a look when I get home from work. I hope you didn't press the Copy Folders option when adding the files by accident, as that could make it go to a massive size lol
