When I posted the request I didn't tested the final installer to make sure it works.
Seems that patching the 7zsd.sfx file for the original WinRAR icon somehow brake the installer. It doesn't seem to install anything.
I tryied to patch the final file aswell, the same thing happens.
I'd like to use the original icon for the final file but can't manage to do it with my limited knowledge.

Just a small request, again. Please make it to use the original WinRAR icon for the final sfx file.
I patched 7zsd.sfx file myself for me with Resource Hacker but make it for all others.

I'm not an expert to scripting, just give you a hint.
Make a copy as .bak of the file, edit the file, do your thing than when you are done restore the file from the .bak.

Actually I wanted it top centered but Lego didn't bothered with it and did what he did so the progress bars are visible now.

Also I think you should (could) add all the langs that are updated to current version. They cost only a few KB more.

Your best choice is to use a big enough pen drive to fit the full image.

I don't know if it will work but a possible scenario will be to export each edition to individual .wim then add them back one by one to a new .wim in the desired order.
When only one image in the .wim the index for all those individual .wim would be 1.
Adding them back one by one to a new .wim the index will increase so the final .wim would have them indexed in the order you add them.

Is this all Win8 problem? Can you boot from USB stick when Win7 setup files are on the stick? Or any other OS setup files?
With the stick connected what are the options in BIOS for:
Hard Disk Boot Priority
First Boot Device
WPI v8.7.0
in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
