Thanks Kel. I thought about that combo and I am a Asus fan but I was trying to go a cheap as possible, but that would be the better deal if I go AMD.

Mobile CPU's on Desktop Mobo
Thanks again. I forgot to mention that I have a friend with a few mobo's laying around. I just have to get a ride over there to see if they will match my little celeron D. Hopefully in a week I can get something together.

Just my luck
Thanks but unfortunately, I had to send 150 to Friend of the Cunt for child support. I have no ideal when I will be able to get a PC together. I have someone telling me monthly that they will give my a desktop but I have no ideal when.

Mobile CPU's on Desktop Mobo
Thanks for all the info everyone. I am still not sure if I am going that route right now. I will wait to see how much money I can get first.

Just my luck
NP Kel. I haven't figured out which way I was going yet. I am trying to get enough money for this. I just went to a friends place to look for some deals. I only have 110 right now, so I am still trying to get some more money to get a system. I am still holding off, due to lack of money and waiting to catch a good deal. Thanks for trying Kel.

Mobile CPU's on Desktop Mobo
Has anyone ever used a mobile CPU on a desktop mobo? I have seen a few articles that state that there is no difference and that a lot of people use mobile CPU's for overclocking because they are designed for low temps. Thanks

Just my luck
OK, after doing a lot of reading etc. it seems that HP has a class action law suit against them for using faulty mobo's. So it looks like I will not be able to fix my lappy since I fit in the cat. for the issues their boards are having. :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored::censored: So until I can come across a free PC. I will most likely not be on. :crying_anim02:

Just my luck
OK, I did a restart yes. and now my lappy will not post. I brung out "Grandma D (the Duron) and she is dead from when I had a HDD catch fire. LOL. Luckly I had some one drop off a Aspire One for me to reformat, so now I can try and find out whats wrong with my lappy. Any way hopefully I can get it working or I will be gone for awhile.

Need some advice on ISP
This is my speed: Comcast is the best here for speed and they have 2 plans here. Economy Internet Service: $24.95 Way faster than dial-up with downloads up to 1 Mbps and uploads up to 384 Kbps. * No dialing in required and no tying up the phone line. * Download speeds that are way faster than dial-up. * The highly-acclaimed, McAfee Security Suite

No plans for 7Lite?
The author of the popular nLite and vLite programs for trimming Windows XP and Vista down to size says he currently has no plans to release a similar tool for Windows 7. If netbook enthusiasts and OS minimalists had their way, Dino Nuhagic would be nominated for sainthood. Nuhagic is the creator of nLite and vLite– two free utilities for building a customised Windows XP or Vista installation disc or ISO image complete with slipstreamed service packs and hotfixes, unwanted components weeded out and new apps and specific drivers added. nLite in particular has found new popularity among the owners of netbooks as a way to reduce the memory footprint of XP and cut back on how much space the OS takes up on a netbook's small hard drive or even smaller solid state drive. vLite cuts Windows Vista down to size – and also Windows 7 beta builds, from what we hear... And although vLite does work with Windows 7 beta builds, there's obviousinterest in an updated program tailored for Windows 7. But don't hold your breath. "For now vLite for (Windows) 7 is unlikely purely due to lack of time" Dino Nuhagic told APC mag in an email interview."With my new full-time job I don't have much time for my programs." While Nuhagic allowed that "this (situation) might change", he says that Windows 7 is certainly a step in the right direction for those wanting a slimmer OS. "7 is better than Vista in regards of user-perceived performance. Also I like the bigger removable component list (in the Control Panel)." But Nuhagic's not ruling out the development ofa 7Lite to trim the fat from Windows 7. "Until it's Minwin with a few chosen components on top of it I will not rest! ☺" he writes. INFO FOUND HERE

Need some advice on ISP
I wish I could help you out but our main ISP here is Comcast for the fastest speed, then AT&T (DSL) and Earthlink which sucks. LOL. There is dialup but no need to swear. LOL. 20mb, OMFG that would be nice but it's not like you will ever see that. I have like 14 down and 2 up and I only see 800-1.2mb DL and 100-145 UL with Comcast.
