Did you download the DISM file that is compatible with XP? DISM_XP_8.0_6.2.9200.16384.exe - there is a link to it here somewhere, don't remember where right now.

Recently did an integration of Win7 Pro and 500 updates from McRip - took a few minutes shy of an hour. (Using a Ramdrive and an SSD for temp file and Mount locations.)
