red,blue, and purple also have no display area in the applications tab. also, clicking on perfprmance tab locks up task manager. thanks RR

@Mr_Smartepants, If you use the green batch with Xptsp Gui there are no task manager problems. Just tested in virtualbox on xp pro.

Thanks for 30014...big improvement. Here are a couple things I found while testing: Black--- doesn't patch Task Mgr. at all. red--- has all of the task mgr problems mentioned earlier. neon blue--- reshacker error--- 9$s[2] and $F Also, there are reshacker errors with using the batch files with 30014. However I will have to get back to you on particulars...misplaced my notes with test results. The problems with red and neon may simply be because the resources have not been updated yet. I realize that none of these are critical problems, but in my experience, programmers want to know of every little bug; so you should get to decide what must be fixed. However, since xptsp 30014 still allows the use of batch files, I 'm including a report on the 4 batch I tested using the GUI: Black, neon, and red all have the same reshacker error mentioned above. Also, after compressing the files this pop-up appears: unable to read section "sysoc". when you click 'OK' xptxp closes. Green batch is not recognized at all by GUI. The 'new palett' error appears twice; patching notepad.exe, ntoc.dll or a file near these two. Task manager: I only had time to test 4 resources last night. Green and neon blue work fine. black: apps, processes and users tabs aren't patched. Red patches all tabs, however both black and red close task mgr when I select performance tab. hope this helps some, regards, rr650

Check post #517 dated 7/25/10 It says 'extras were uploaded'. The date still says 7/21/10 on dougiefresh's site, yet the hash is correct for the extras file. It could be that with all the work to fix the files, that the new extras were not uploaded yesterday. I could be completely wrong here; It just seems odd that the hash would be updated for the new extras yet the date wasn't. Please ignore the feedback if my suggestion is in error. regards, RR

Here is what I've found w/ Task Manager issues. I only use 3 resourcesin my iso's- neon, green, or black. I use xp-sp3 source + UH update pack 134 and let patcher download resources and extras. I use v30011 patcher. 1) neon works fine in all areas. 2) black Application tab is not patched and no apps appear in the tab. Also there is no networking tab at all. 3) green patches all tabs. No apps appear in application tab. When I select Performance tab OS locks up and requires reboot. Prior to latest updates only difference I noticed was that when Performance tab was selected task manager simply closed, whereas now the OS locks up. The problem with xpsp?res.dll still exists. I decided to test the updated v3. Each test started with clean source xpsp3. I integrated U.H. update pack 131. Results: 1) without applying xptsp v3...install in VM went flawless. 2) When xptsp v3 is applied...there are 7 files missing...dvdplay.exe, ntsd.exe, regedit.exe, netsetup.exe, telnet.exe, winntbbu.dll, ntkrnlpa.exe I've done each test twice with identical results. sorry for the bad report

This is an excellent tool. Thanks for all your efforts... v3 is removing ntsd.exe and not replacing it after patching. Therefore in vm ntsd.exe can't be copied because it no longer exists in I386. Also, netsetup.exe and regedit.exe thanks again

rick...thanks for the quick work. I just tested new version in virtualbox154. The tray icon doesn't respond to left click nor right click. All previous versions have been fine. Also, all other tray icons are responding properly. Please keep up the good work. All of you addon makers help more people than you may realize. rr650
