Teams is finally letting two people share at once
Microsoft Teams is about to make meetings a little less frustrating for anyone who regularly has to switch between presenters.
Today, Teams only allows one person to share their screen at a time. That works fine for simple presentations, but things get awkward when two people need to show something simultaneously. Switching between presenters can interrupt the flow of a discussion and make comparisons unnecessarily difficult.
Microsoft appears to be working on a solution where two people will soon be able to share their screens or individual windows at the same time. Meeting participants will be able to see both shared views together instead of constantly handing control from one presenter to another.
The feature is reportedly planned for November 2026 and is expected to arrive on both the Teams desktop app and the web version.
The bigger benefit may actually be side-by-side presentations. Imagine comparing two documents, walking someone through a process while they follow along on their own screen, or showing two versions of the same project without repeatedly switching views.
There are still some practical questions. Showing two screens at once could work beautifully on a large monitor but become cramped on a laptop. Microsoft will probably also need to figure out how the feature behaves on smaller displays and whether mobile users will get the same functionality.
