Important announcement: ISO Downloader blocked by Microsoft
about these "leaked" Win7 ISO images Jan: I've downloaded them thru a cable internet connection weeks ago and these ISOs also include .NET Framework 4.7.2 and Internet Explorer 11 (and their corresponding patches for Aug. 2018). the win7 "telemetry" updates (like KB2952664) can be uninstalled after installing Win7 with these leaked ISOs as the "uninstall" option for many of these telemetry patches is available in the "Installed Updates" list in the Programs and Features control panel app.

Windows 10 RS5 links do not work
Microsoft has re-released the 1809 ISO downloads today November 13th but v7.11 of the Windows ISO downloader tool is downloading the "original" 1809 ISO downloads with build 17763.1 instead of the "re-released" versions with build 17763.107. And the revised ISO 1809 downloads have new names

Windows 10 RS5 links do not work
the original 1809 downloads are still available with the latest Windows ISO Downloader tool but now has a Warning message next to it because Microsoft found numerous problems with the 1809 release (seems like MS really rushed this version) and has temporarily halted offering them on their web site

Microsoft ending the MS Hotfix Service
It looks like Microsoft will be retiring their Hotfix Service, meaning no more getting individual hotfixes for Windows. Details mentioned in these recent articles: https://www.ghacks.net/2018/11/05/microsofts-hotfix-service-is-no-longer-available/ https://borncity.com/win/2018/11/06/is-microsoft-killing-fixit-solution-and-hotfix-download-service/ https://news.softpedia.com/news/microsoft-might-have-killed-off-windows-hotfixes-523605.shtml

Windows 10 Spring Creators Update - March 2018 (unavailable)
it will not be called the "Spring Creators Update" - Microsoft calls it the April 2018 Update instead - formally announced last Friday April 27: https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2018/04/27/make-the-most-of-your-time-with-the-new-windows-10-update/ edit April 30: see my latest post from this thread.

windows 10 spring creator's update (1803) 404 errors
probably Monday April 30 at 10am pacific time. for those living in greater time zones than the Pacific Time zone, that could be Tuesday May 1. I live in southwest USA, more accurately Southern California, USA, which is the same time zone as Microsoft though MS resides in another state than where I live. just wait patiently folks also it will NOT be called the "Spring Creators Update" as Microsoft now calls it the April 2018 Update (I hope the updated Windows ISO Download tool refers the upcoming 1803/1804 release as the April 2018 Update). The "Creators Update" naming stuff is already overused & future feature updates for Win10 should be called something else other than using "Creators Update". Edit 4/30: see my latest post here.

Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM)
Did you package both 32bit & 64bit versions of DISM.exe, Legolash2o? Remember, on X64 based Windows OSes (like Win7 & higher), there are TWO versions of DISM.exe; a 32bit version stored in the \Windows\SysWOW64\ folder and a 64bit version stored in the \Windows\System32\ folder.

Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 is out
In addition to the existing prerequisite updates listed in MS KB article 2847882, these two Windows 7 updates need to be installed or IE11 setup will still fail: KB2882822 - Update adds ITraceRelogger interface support to Windows Embedded Standard 7 SP1, Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 [2882822 > 32bit download - 64bit download] KB2888049 - Update is available that improves the network performance of Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 [2888049 > 32bit download - 64bit download] The IE11 setup program checks to see if those two other updates are installed and is logged in the IE11_main.log file in the Windows folder. I didn't have those two Win7 SP1 updates installed the first time around when I downloaded & installed IE11 but had the other five prerequisite updates installed. So be sure to integrate these two new prerequisite updates for IE11.
