According to developers is new os build from scraps using BSD & Linux code.

And i wonder if it have direct x or not.. without direct x game won't work and Korea is country of pc gamer

A korean company TMax Softwares(I guess u have not heard this name before) is developing its own OS since last two years which will be launched this november. It claims to run all the windows software and some Unix softwares too and is cheaper than windows.

The Name of this OS is TMX Window.

According to one of the developer they have developed it from scrap and used codes & kernels of Linux and BSD. And in no way use windows source code.

They are saying this to be more powerful than WineHQ. And they have also developed their own office application and browser.

Question is can this be real challenge for Microsoft ?

Since their name is similar to Microsoft Windows they may have to visit court

This will be definitely tested by me after it's release.

I think using nlite to decrease installation file and installing will be easy way.

There is no need to install it on VM .. Just install it inside windows and run it..

and i think we can run a Poll on we need Linux sub forum or not.

agreed on pcspecs.. It is not going down.. I think use have to put their own specs manually..

There should be some place for non windows OS i think and this is just a news... I run Ubuntu as my secondary OS

Yet another version of ubuntu is released. It look really graphical and seem like it's theme is changed. Final Stable version is supposed to be released in late October this year. And pidgen is replaced with empathy. Plus there are some new changes and features

Last time i used v8.10 and it was not that much stable and there was several bug and my screen was also flickering.

I hope all this bugs are fixed on this

yup it is not very stable.. and buggy till now.. specially mouseover, clicking taskbar bottons and thumbnail preview is not 100% live.. but it is very close to windows 7.

I have one small forum ( mybb powered )

and mybb offer a feature called gzip it is said in description that it will help in board optimization for faster loading and help save bandwith.. Since i am in free server i am confused weather to use this or not as free server won't allow stuffs that use high resources. Will using gzip increase the load on server? and there is 9 levels of gzip.. currently i am using level 4

It is great to hear that there will be notebook with google chrome os.. this may decrease the price of note book by 100$+ cuz it free unlikely to windows & mac
