OK my mobo blew.... Just the mobo I have tested ALL of the other components and they are all fine. But I am still living on disability and cannot afford the 60-70 dollar chunk for a new one... I found this one here --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813130185 It may be a cheap one BUT it is a MSI (I like them) and lets me have 16 gigs ram later on... I have a e2140 and 2 1gig sticks of ddr2-667 so thats pretty much my requirments... PLEASE help even if it is a small amount. It does build up!!! Links in the sig if you can donate...

Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI for short) is a hypertext application designed for giving users choice. While Windows XP offers many ways of customizing the setup process out of the box, its major drawback is the lack of being able to select which applications an end user may install. In the past, end users and administrators needed to either download the files manually, or create overly complex scripts that could only be used once. WPI allows you to create one image, which can then be custom configured, and optionally, automated, so that end users can install any applications that have been configured into WPI. Here is the 7.0 changelog: * Now cleans up after itself af…

Hi!! Could some tell me how to use my cab addons previously for nlite but now i see a great option using WPI, i've used a tool that is for this meaning (addons2wpi by Nuno) but it seems not doing in a correct way. I'd like all to know if WPI can "install" for example theme addons, and other stuff that ain't just "simple" .exe or .msi... Thank you! (i've searched about this, and went to the official site of wpi, but as i'm a newbie, i have some dificulty to understand )

Hey Kelso I think I found a small bug with the latest WPI. After all my programs install and and I reboot I get the installer window launching again after I log in. It has no text or nothing but it is trying to install my prog's all over again :confused02: This is what it looks like I used "InstallWatch" to track what may have been added to the registry to allow this to happen and I found this RunOnceEx reg line gets added after the installer has finished. HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx\001","1",,"mshta ""F:\WPI\Common\Installer.hta""" Hope it helps

Heh yea I see that title a lot too. Anyway, I put WPI through it's paces on 9 test installs last weekend and for the most part it looks promising. Here are some things that I couldn't overcome. Firefox - wouldn't install a quick launch icon even though I told it to. Opera - installed but no icons anywhere and no uninstaller CCleaner - Same as Opera Tuneup Utilities - Wouldn't install with the provided switches but installed if I set it to manual install. Smartftp - the installer let another program begin installing before it started it's actual install so I just had to wait for the next manual install program to start before installing it. I really didn't try any large …

Hi there, Once again i have a problem using WPI. I try to install a few programs with .cmd files in order to give the right parameters or maybe first copy files from one location to another. Now there is the problem that the .cmd files are all tested, when i double click them everything works allright. when i add the cmd file in wpi and say "install it" it makes a green hook and it seems that everything was correct, but nothing did happen. in case of microsoft office 2007 where i want to add my .msp file via .cmd wpi does start my windows xp setup screen :shocking: has somebody experienced the same problems or has an idea what there might can help? mfg docsnyder edit: l…

Hi there, I try to use WPI for installing some Apps. I added them in WPI 5.6 with the integrated Wizard. Now when i integrated the WPI in a Windows Image and tried to install the Apps with WPI, WPI installed some and some not. Effectively it are 2 Problems : 1.) When i select only one App (no matter which) then WPI simply shuts down and nothing happens 2.) When i select all Apps then WPI installs all but one categorie. Maybe it has to do with the Categorie? (@problem #2). I first created an own categorie named "Internet" for Apps like Firefox, QuicktimeAlternative and so on. Then WPI had some errors, so i switched all "Internet" Apps to "Utilities" brought by WPI itself…
