  1. liam the teamviewer.exe files I just add the version before the exe. ex: teamviewerv11.58789.exe. the other teamviewer files just have different ver. numbers. if I use toolkit.exe it will be toolkit 2.52.exe, toolkit 2.53.exe, toolkit 2.65.exe I have no idea where they are being stored. I use the same dvd folder every time I make a new iso, just add new updates, silent files, and maybe update net framework. regards...
  2. this bug has been around since the early versions of WTK and is still there in v.1.5.4.4. I don't think its anything I am doing incorrectly. When I use the ADVANCED FILES tab I am having WTK put teamviewer and another utility I use on the desktop. They are simple .EXE files. As they get updated by their websites I download the new version and update them in WTK in the ADVANCED FILE section. I keep all 4 files until I get the syntax correct to have them go onto the desktop. then I remove the old versions and on the updated versions I check the REPLACE box. when wtk finishes its installation I have about 4 teamviewers and 4 of the other utility with corresponding (white icon) BAK icons. so now I have 16 icons on the desktop when I only want 2. Has anyone else experienced this? One caveat is I do rename the files each time I make a new iso. ex: teamviewerv.11.5342.exe then when its updated on the teamviewer website and I install the updated version i'll change it to say teamviewerv12.00000 but then delete the older version in the advanced files section. But every older version ends up on the desktop with a corresponding white .BAK icon. regards... ps. I am using the syntax %systemdrive%\users\public\desktop\teamviewer.exe
  3. hey maybe you can update those exclusive iso files from sept 2014. Could be a big help. Donation coming. keep up the good work.
  4. hooray a new version 1.5.4.4 in the public area. thx Liam
  5. I too had that problem however I am also integrating Office 2010. With the lastest win 7 updates from June 2015 I have now gone over the limit even for dvd+r DL. I had to take out office and install that separately. was considering the bootable USB option but not every computer will boot to a USB device (still!). next option was using a blu ray bd-r. I could hook up a bdrom player temporarily just for the install but if I have to install to a laptop just about all laptops do not have a blu ray player. some win 8 laptops don't even have any dvd player. regards...
  6. Liam: I never really understood why some updates appeared in my silent installer list to begin with so please excuse my nubie status on this subject. I just went with the flow and my installations were always okay. however after my installs there were always the netframework 4.52 updates. I don't have the list handy but there are about 6 of them after you would have windows check for updates after a new install with WTK. so I wrote them down and downloaded them from Microsoft download. I believe they are EXE files. I added them to the silent installs with I believe /q, /norestart option. now all this works for me. they get integrated perfectly and I'm down to only 2 updates left after a new install. the monthly Microsoft virus tool and another one which I cant remember now, sorry for my vagueness (no coffee yet) but it was another kinda optional type. so how will this new edition you created affect those silent installers? regards ron
  7. my bad. didn't have 7z installed. WinRAR showed empty...disregard this thread regards...
  8. lego: the latest WinRAR 1.5.3.21 seems to be empty. am I doing something wrong? same for v.2... regards...
  9. yes I do not know why kb3022345 was being installed. I started with a fresh Win 7_64 SP1 Home Premium clean ISO and used updates from 3/25/15 with WTK and everything is fine. I "think" for people who have not been doing their Microsoft important updates that more than likely if you are many updates behind and do them now then Microsoft will not send out KB3022345. But that's conjecture. regards...
  10. I started a thread awhile back that sfc /scannow was reporting errors that it could not repair some system files when using WTK to make a slipstreamed iso. I thought I finally resolved that issue but it has reared its ugly head again. I just made a new updated Win 7_64 Home Premium iso using WTK v.1.5.3.12. I ran an elevated CMD prompt and sfc reports errors to system files that cannot be repaired. After careful observation of my CBS.log I had 8 files that could not be repaired. The first one is UTC.APP.JSON. After googling this file it seems that a very recent Microsoft update KB3022345 is causing the issue. It definitely affects Win 7 and its also supposed to affect Win 8. There are many articles about this if you do a google search. If you go to control panel/programs features and view installed updates look for it. In Win 7 I uninstalled it, rebooted and now SFC /scannow reports NO errors. The articles state that Microsoft is aware of this issue and will be sending out a fix in the future. They say it has no affect on your system files and the workings of Windows. I had 8 errors and when I uninstalled that update all errors got repaired. But here is what I am perplexed about. I checked my WTK update list before creating my iso and this update (which is from 5/6/15) is not on my list to be integrated. I used WUD (3/25/15) which is the latest updates. For some reason the list hasn't been updated in over 2 months now. As soon as my VM desktop comes up I check to see if KB3022345 is installed and it is. I do not know how its getting installed. If you uninstall it and reboot your machine kb3022345 will now be in the OPTIONAL update list in windows update. Out of desperation I changed the autounattended file parameters for installing updates from RECOMMENDED to DOWNLOAD BUT DO NOT INSTALL. That did nothing. Any thoughts? Regards...
  11. I hear that the update cache file (?) makes loading updates faster? If so how it it used when making a slipstreamed disk from an original, say win 7 iso, with sp1 already integrated. regards...
  12. that's not the case here. I do not have any reg fixes or IE11 enhancements, changes etc. on first boot and first starting IE11 its off and it needs to be turned on.. No idea why! regards..
  13. I have been using WTK for a few months. I noticed by accident that smartscreen is turned (off as the default) when I install Win 7 from iso's created by WTK. I am using WTK to integrate IE11 and well as updates etc. By default in a non wtk install I believe smartscreen is turned on. Is there a reason or setting for this? regards...
  14. clark thank you for reply. I definitely never downloaded any ie9 or ie10 stuff. kinda figured that one out. I do not remember downloading any additional stuff. either. bottom line is WHD was starting me out with I think it was approx. 462 updates that seemed to be security, regular updates etc. either way I now am making a 32 bit version of win 7 using WUD with the latest 11/11/14 updates. I assume I will have no problems! Think I have the procedure down pat now. regards...
  15. I have a happy update. I successfully created a WTK iso that passed SFC. I used the latest WTK 1.5.3.3 version. My addon is net framework 4.5.2. silent installers are adobe reader v.11, flash player v.15, malwarebytes 1025 and ccleaner v.4.19. all these are the latest versions. also have a silent user install of office 2007. when SFC failed I was using updates downloaded with WHDownloader. For whatever reason this downloader will download about 462 updates for win 7_64. I decided to try WUD (win update downloader). Using the download list from this source she downloads about 181 updates for win 7_64 (up to 9/14/14). I have no idea why WHD has so many more downloads which mess up WTK and why WUD seems to work great. After installation on a vm SFC passes 100%. initial amt of updates are 41 but approx. 24 of those are either from oct or today. my wud list was from sept 2014. So I figure I will only have about 17 updates. Some of those are randomly old so I will incorporate those into my WUD update list till I get the number of updates to a bare minimum. Thx all for your input and I hope this helps others out there who are struggling. regards... UPDATE: I ended up with 13 updates to be installed after the first check for updates.
  16. I am at a loss now with the sfc bug. lego must be busy at school, because I haven't heard from him other than he fixed the iso's but hasn't posted them. I tried creating my own but there is another bug which was discussed with lego in September when taking a fresh win 7 sp1 iso and using WUD to download all the win 7_64 updates and then have WTK integrate them. there are errors about a language problem which still hasn't been addressed. So between not being able to use lego's iso and not being able to create my own with WTK because of these errors I am stuck without a reliable integrated win 7 iso. very frustrating. regards...
  17. I searched my win 7 installation on my host computer for the msdtc.log file and I cannot find it. my computer passes sfc. so I'm not really sure this is the actual corruption. when I do an in place upgrade over lego's install sfc passes 100% so something is getting repaired. The bottom line is win 7 should pass sfc 100%. This really should be addressed as a major bug. regards...
  18. can you post the 4.53.(64 and 32) wa file? regards..
  19. the c:windows\winsxs\backup directory is empty. the MSDTC.LOG file is the culprit (at least when using lego's sept iso's). There are 4 errors saying it cannot be repaired. Meanwhile I can't find the file at all. I even showed protected system files. there is a msdtc.exe file but no log file. the only way to correct this in win 7 (there is a possible dism fix in win 8) is to do an in place re-install of windows and all the 180 or so updates. kinda ridiculous. I would attach the cbs.log file if I knew how! regards...
