  1. @N1K, robeamy apparently needed 10 posts, since he made his 10 posts all in a row in a few minutes, some to VERY old topics. Cheers and Regards
  2. I Like it! Thanks Liam! Cheers and Regards
  3. @krushna: Except for an occasional error, (like now perhaps?), Solor's updates are quite thoroughly tested for compatibility, and normally do not cause problems, even if you are not one of those "...that are experiencing the problem described in this article." Personally, I like to have all the fixes even before I have the problem, as a preventative measure. As has also been mentioned, you might as well get them, because when the next roll-up or service pack is released they will all be included anyway. Just my two cents. Cheers and Regards
  4. For Win 7, .NET 2.0, 3.0, and 3.5 are now an intrinsic part of the OS, not separate like in XP. So I don't know if there is any way to add them back in. There is not even an .msu install file available for any of them as there is for .NET 4. And that's the method used to install .NET 4. Cheers and Regards
  5. I also prefer the silent installers. One of their advantages is that they can also be applied to an existing running system. Cheers and Regards
  6. @Liam, I hate to disagree with you, but unless I misunderstand how those date codes are encoded, I think the latest one is about in the middle, the 13th entry, ie: 06-11-2011_1242PM -- {[day]-[month]-[year]_[hour24][min][AM|PM] right?} Isn't it? I respect your choice of sticking with the date format you are most used to working with, but I have to agree with @sputnik089 that [year]-[month]-[day]_[hour24]-[minute] sure seems to make more sense and allows easier sorting as well. I guess I don't quite see how the existing format allows sorting in any helpful way. (Unless there is an option to sort by date, which I guess should sort correctly no matter where you are?) But my excuse is that I am in the US, as lame as excuse as that is. Cheers and Regards
  7. Blocking it is fine, but Legolash2o only added the "calling home" aspect in order to simplify/automate troubleshooting, for the benefit of us all. It only does it to check for updates and report errors. If you have an error that you want support on, it makes it so much easier if it has already sent a report automatically. Otherwise you will be required to submit the info manually so that Legolash2o will have all the info he needs to diagnose the problem correctly. I believe that the blocking should only be used if you know what you are doing and you know that you are going to be doing some experimentation that has a good likelihood of causing errors and you don't want to clutter up Legolash2o's inbox with junk unnecessarily. Most users should keep the blocking off and allow reporting. It's not like you're trying to get away with something, are you? W7T is free. Cheers and Regards
  8. With respect to Kel's previous suggestion, may I offer another? Year.Month.Day Build Hour Where year is the last digit of the year Month and Day are the numerical representation Hour is the number in 24 hour format GMT Build Hour could be left off, and only added on those rare occasions that there is more than one release in a day. So a release now would be: 1.11.07 -or- 1.11.07 Build 16 To eliminate confusion with the current numbering scheme, begin this revised scheme on Jan 1st, ie with version 2.xx.xx. Just a suggestion. Cheers and Regards
  9. Hopefully soon there won't be anything that RT7Lite can do that can't be done with W7T! @Etz, currently, what can RT7Lite do that W7T can't? ie, since we know that Rt7Lite is buggy, obsolete, and not supported, why use it at all? Cheers and Regards

    AIO tool Bug

@crashfly Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset. See here - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee460914.aspx The Microsoft Diagnostics and Recovery Toolset (MSDaRT or DaRT) is tool set to recover Windows which is only available for Volume license customers or maybe through a Technet subscription. Cheers and Regards
  11. Thanks Liam. One teeny tiny thing that krushna originally mentioned. It's VERY minor, but since you're doing so much to make it perfect... On the Welcome tab under Drivers: "I have noticed via the Error logs that a lot of drivers are not being integrated when non-English computers,..." You might want to change the wording slightly. Either change "when" to "for", or say "when non-English computers are used", or "on computers with non-English OS", or whatever else you might think is most clear. You might also want to include the warnings, reworded slightly, from here http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?/topic/9125-warning-please-read/ on the welcome screen as well, in case whoever is doing that hasn't read that thread. Thank you very much for all your hard work on this. Cheers and Regards
  12. @myselfidem Can you give Legolash2o any further guidance for anything else he can do to improve/fix W7T in regards to unattended operations? Cheers and Regards
  13. I think you meant "v59B" was released recently. We will patiently wait for v60B. Cheers and Regards
  14. @Liam, from krushna's post, apparently for "if you want to dondate" I think he means "dondate" should be "donate". And " lot of drivers are not being integrated when non-English computers" has some words missing to make a complete sentence. Cheers and Regards
  15. Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2603229) - Did you read the quote in my post? Cheers and Regards
  16. @Liam, Info for you - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2603229 "Note for OEMs and system builders Do not slipstream this update into preconfigured operating system images. You must run this update only after the operating system is installed and the Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) is finished." So thats 2 updates now that can't be integrated. Cheers and Regards
  17. Could you please double check the DL link? I can't seem to get it, though I think I was able to get the first version before. Now, it just loads the basic home screen for mediafire - http://www.mediafire.com - and doesn't show your file at all. Cheers and Regards
  18. While you're cleaning stuff up, the link for - RegTweaks Collection v0.4 - appears to be invalid. Cheers and Regards
  19. It would probably be helpful if you give a little more details than "It doesn't work". WHAT doesn't work? It doesn't accept your change? It doesn't change the location? It changes the location but that breaks something? Your computer catches fire? What? Note what Etz said - you might need to specify a folder on "D:\" for it to work, not just the drive, or try via Unattended Creator. Cheers and Regards
  20. What happens if you remove the packages manually with dism? Does the size shrink? From what I understand, W7T is basically a GUI for tools like dism and others with a few tweaks, to GROSSLY over simplify things. (No offense or disrespect meant, Legolash. Nor is this meant to minimize your VERY hard work or our great respect we have for this very valuable tool and all the time you have put in to it. It is the BEST tool out there of its type and is getting better with every update.) It doesn't really hack the OS. If you can find an existing MS tool that does what you want it to do in a supported manner, then I'm sure that will make it easier for Legolash to include the function in W7T. Cheers and Regards
  21. I don't usually remove ANYTHING. But if removing the packages is "safe", (if you have a basic idea what you are doing), and it is a supported method, then I agree that there should maybe be a checkbox option to show the extended list of removable packages vs just the basic list. Cheers and Regards
  22. I thought he was talking about tweaking? Cheers and Regards
  23. Lego, assuming it's location is added to the path when it is installed, you could just search for it there. Cheers and Regards
  24. If the user chooses to skip auto-activation, shouldn't W7T be able to automatically insert the appropriate generic serial without user intervention? No? That assumes that the correct architecture and image have been chosen and that W7T is able to add in the correct serial at build time. Cheers and Regards
  25. So, should this be listed as v1.2.1.452 or v1.2.1.451? Cheers and Regards
