  1. Rejoice, I am happy to announce that Rafael fixed the problem with the crashing Windows Sidebar and now we can run the Vista SP1 Sidebar on XP (FINALLY!!!) 3. Started by NIM,

Dear members and guests, As you already know, we have recently moved to another shared hosting server and now after only a week of using it, I got this message from them: "One of your accounts: wincert.net is using up 32% of cpu and 15% of mysql server which is over the limit allowed. It seems to be a really intensive forum. You need to move this site somewhere else, if you like a back up please reply." The problem is that WinCert.net has almost 10,000 visits a day and is already too big for the shared hosting server. There is also possibility that we're being hacked or something similar, but we'll investigate that.. As most of you probably know by now, I'm paying for all…

  4. Started by NIM,

I'm glad to say that we are finally back online! I would like to apologize to our members and visitors for WinCert.net downtime which lasted more than 2 days. Some of you are probably wondering what's the reason of this downtime, so I've decided to make this post.. Most of you already know that WinCert.net had Joomla CMS and IPB forum installed and bridged by BBPixel script. Several months ago, we had a huge traffic jump (more than 1 million pages a day) and a lot of PHP requests which was the reason of Hosting Server crash. From that day everything seemed normal, until couple of days ago when server crashed again and it looked like the same issue as before. We suspect…

I am proud to announce after 3 long months of hard work, i have finally finished my own IPB creation! I call it Graffiti By WolfX2. Featuring a super cool hover effect, custom buttons, a transparent user links menu, shadowed borders and a reflective bottom. Graffiti is not recommended for dial up subscribers or subscribers to a slower internet connection. Sometime in the future i will be adding a resizeable width feature for people with larger resolutions. Please report any bugs in this topic and i will do my best to correct them Everyone enjoy!

Dear members and guests, We had problems with the new server installation and because of that we're back on MSFN Hosting and will stay here until we found something better. We'll also try to find out why we had a huge page views jump in 2 days, which was more than 1 500 000 for a day, normal condition was about 35-50 000 page views/day. For that reason I've removed custom scripts from the site like shoutbox, counter, falling snow etc. I've also restored the i-tab classic skin which is much "lighter" on the system and bandwidth than the xmas version. Please have patience during this process if you see WinCert.net off line. We're doing this so site can work better and so th…

  9. Started by NIM,

Hi guys and gals, we have big problems ahead. As our site is rapidly rising, it makes a lot of traffic which consumes a lot of bandwidth and system resources on the hosting server. Just for an example, our site is among other 90 sites at one server and we're currently taking 6 times more system resources than other sites together. Therefore, I was kindly asked to start searching for a new hosting company. This time I'm not sure that we'll be accepted on a shared hosting since we have more than 5000-6000 unique visits a day and over 1,5 million pages a month. Secondly, dedicated hosting is about 100$/month which is currently more than I could afford. If any of you here has…

Well, it's been one year since WinCert.net changed to a new forum structure along with Joomla. One long, prosperous year. Many new members have shown up here at WinCert.Net since the new forum structure came into play. We are currently sitting at just under 3000 members. That's an amazing growth in one year. One year ago, WinCert.Net switched to Joomla and introduced a new forum structure. In doing this, new members started joining. The new structure was easier to navigate and find a good spot to post questions. Here at WinCert.Net we strive to help you with your computer problems, Windows customization and addons along with third party application support. We will contin…

  17. I am currently in the process of promoting WinCert, and my guide being placed here on the site. Slimming Down Windows XP: The Complete Guide can be a tremendous draw for WinCert. ...But only with your help! As many of you already know...I am not proud. :naughty: Having owned retails stores at one time or another in my life, I've come to know that "being proud" and "promoting your business" don't belong in the same sentence. I am placing this message on a few forums. I ask that you place it on your favorite forums. Copy the text between the lines, and paste the message on one or two of your favorite sites. I'll appreciate it, and I'm sure N1K, as owner of this site…

If you need to upload pictures, screenshots and other images somewhere so you can show them here, you can do it on KwikPiks.com Sign up for an account, and you've got 100MB of space and 5GB of monthly transfer. All the common image formats are supported, and automatic thumbnail generation is available as well. Testing uploaded image linking. By clicking on the thumbnail you get the full sized picture. I like it because I'm not attacked with ads like I am at imageshack.us Cheers!

Dear fellow board members, We are very proud to announce that we have passed our administration team's goal of reaching 1000 valid members, to celebrate; we think that we should discuss a possible new forum structure on WinCert. We are aware that with such a diverse group of knowledgeable members, we should better accommodate our active and supportive members that have helped WinCert become what it is today. Furthermore we will be taking suggestions on forum structure, such as addition or deletion or closing of certain forums. Every suggestion will be taken into consideration. Thank you, WinCert administration team.

I've installed a new custom profile field for this board. It can be seen below your country flag in the post view. Now you're able to choose which Operating System do you use. I though that we may find this information useful on WinCert. It can be selected from your registration page (for guests) or by updating your profile (for members). Any comments and/or suggestions are welcome.

WinCert.net has a new forum skin installed. It's the most revolutionary skin ever for IPB, it uses sophisticated programming to totally modify the layout and look and feel of IPB and enhance the inherent power of the forum software. Soft blue/grey tones harmonise with the small amount of orange highlights - this skin features too many edits to list! You just have to see it to believe it... members can select the skin from the drop down menu on the forums for a closer view. The revolutionary i-tab skin is very easy and intuitive to use, it is flexible, allowing multiple rows of tabs if you have many many categories, it has some great logic built in, whereby if your member
