  1. Somewhat true, Windows Vista uses an algorithm to determine when changes to hardware are significant enough in nature to require re-activation. The algorithm used by Windows Vista is more flexible than that used by Windows XP, but each component change has an impact and adds up until you reach a pre-determined limit. The Windows Vista re-activation process may vary based on how you acquired Windows Vista. For example: * If you acquired Windows Vista via retail purchase (boxed product) or pre-installed on a computer from a local computer vendor, Windows Vista will require re-activation if you, for example: o Replace the hard disk drive and memory at the same time. o Replace the motherboard. * If you acquired Windows Vista pre-installed on a computer from a major manufacturer (sometimes referred to as an Original Equipment Manufacturer or OEM), Windows Vista will require re-activation if you replace the motherboard with a motherboard not provided by the OEM. Hope that helps

First post updated. Added: If you become a sponsor, you won't see any ads in the forum as long as your subscription lasts (minimum 1 year), if not continued. Regards
  3. Ok, members should not see those ads from now on.. Thx for your reply. Cheers.

Zacaa, you posted in the Turkish section, please avoid that from now on. And btw, I don't understand your post at all Thx
  5. Strange, it should work ok in that resolution.. But don't worry, I'll remove it for our staff members, sponsors and active members with more than 50 posts. Will try to do that today..
  6. Problem is fixed now, as I said, unfortunately we lost some of the posts during the restore process As for the ads, that's all right, I've put them yesterday so I can cover our server expenses. Edit tab is working great on higher resolution, don't know which resolution are you using. BTW, I'll remove those ads for our active members which includes you so you won't have problems in the future.. Thx
  7. Yes, unfortunately we loose some of our posts, but luckily it wasn't a big damage
  8. This is not very nice of you pete. I'm not sure who did you try to amaze with your Vista Sidebar look?? Actually, a lot of people from all around the world are using Windows Vista and have seen the default desktop a thousand times, so nothing new here. Also Vista has been out for 1,5 years, so what's the point here. If you want, you can post your desktop screenshots in the appropriate forum. I won't let you insult my staff members although Rick was a bit harsh on you, but anyway he had a good reason, since you have already posted irrelevant posts before, so his reaction was justified. You'll get a warning this time and next time you'll be banned!
  9. I've just spoke with our hosting server administrator and he said: This morning your server crashed due to a hardware issue, the hardware was replaced/apache reinstalled and your site restored. I believe this is the cause. . He also advises to users being prompted to download a file to clear their cache. Either that or delete your browser cache. Hopefully, everything will be all right from now on.

    Welcome back Wolf!
  11. What's the best of it, only one guy did this and is developing the new version.
  12. I heard something from my friend yesterday, but I think it was a Toshiba laptop. Try to disable blootooth when you're acquiring a wireless network address. He also mentioned something about removing the icon from the tray.
  13. It will stay wincert.net don't worry

    Hi and welcome mate!
  15. I wouldn't agree with that. You know that Microsoft takes care of the guy at the end of development. Having that in mind, Windows 7 might look completely different once released, but hey, who cares about the look, we should care about functionality, security, usability etc.

I just tried it and it seems that it can connect to the server, but isn't really checking for new mails LOL. It was working when I tried it before. Maybe it isn't working now because of SP1, not sure
  19. Although it failed to pass these tests, I still recommend SpinRite. Spinrite supports only IDE disks and there's big possibility that it will fix problems with your disk. You should at least try
  20. Try to use some free tools like Spinrite to check the surface of the disk. It will probably scan your disk for several days but at least it can fix many errors in the disk.
  21. You may publish anything that isn't considered warez. If you post something that is considered warez after all, it will be removed but you won't be warned since you asked us first. Thanks in advance for your contribution to our forum. Cheers
