Pink_Freud reacted to Thiersee in [14 janvier 2020] Update list GDR pour Windows 7 SP1 x86/x64 (Fr-En-De-Es-It)
@rhahgleuhargh
Today's updates:
IE11-KB3185319, replaces KB3175443
KB3175024
KB3177186
KB3184122
KB3185911
KB3172605, replaces the same patch from July.
On two VMs, fresh installed with the (Convenience Rollup) UL 26-08, both x86 & x64: deep cleaning uninstalled only KB2534111 (as usual) and KB3172605, version or component ...6.1.1.2, as superseded.
Info from MS are not yet online.
Edit:
the links are
Be careful!
The links for KB3172605 are for the July-edition of this rollup!
The files downloaded directly by WU are newer (different checksum and digital MS signature from 09.09.2016); I couldn't find the right links , sorry.
Regard, Thiersee

maybe next week it's pushed for WU, or they will wait until next patch tuesday to release the monthly win32k.sys security update

@pennsylvaniaron
Hi Ron,
today I made some tests for you !
1) Downloaded english-ISO Win7 HomePremium with the tool i linked in my previous post.
2) Integrated WUD UL 22.07.2016 (sections 2, 3, 5, 6 and IE11.exe from "English Setup Files") + NFW 4.6.1 (link in my previous post), KB3020369 & KB2670838 are set as "Prerequisite": NO errors, NO issues, nothing!
3) Installed in a VM (VirtualBox 5.1.2): again NO issues, no errors, nothing!
4) Started sfc /scannow: NO errors!
5) installed and started MBAM: no errors, no trojans, nothing!
BUT:
one update has not been installed (but NO errors), even if it is under Silent-SFX in WTK: KB2533552! This update is NOT integrable offline!
KB2603229 has been integrated, but has no effect, is only like a place-holder; this update is NOT integrable offline too!
It means you have to integrate this two KBs in a running Windows!
You can follow the same sequence: in this way you have a definitely working ISO with all updates and NFW.
Last but not least: with the "Classic way" the integration takes on my system half an hour longer to finish and the ISO is bigger (~= 500 MB).
I appended some pictures and the INI I used for the integration: unpack the archive and have a look .
BTW: the requested 3 updates (pict 6) are for RDP (optional) and the Service Pack 1 (pict 7) is KB2533552, the other 7 (pict 7) are for W10!
Regards, Thiersee

@nonspin,
The tone in your post is uncalled for.
While your point that it would always be better to use paths such as %windir% rather than absolute paths like "C:\Windows\" is valid, taking such an antagonistic tone will do nothing but get you banned if it continues. abbodi1406 is an extremely well respected member of this and many other technical forums and he has many abilities and a willingness to help others. Every application author, including MS I'm sure, has published product using absolute paths at one time or another. It would have been much better if you had merely asked whether there was a particular reason why absolute paths were used and whether it would be possible to rewrite the addon to use paths such as %windir% instead. In any case, I'm sure that abbodi1406 will respond when he sees these posts.
Cheers and Regards

Pink_Freud reacted to abbodi1406 in [14 janvier 2020] Update list GDR pour Windows 7 SP1 x86/x64 (Fr-En-De-Es-It)
KB2585542 is superseded by KB3140245 + any of the recent kernel security updates (such as KB3153171)
updates that are superseded by 2 (or more) updates combined, don't get listed in MUC as that "Package Details"
but WU can recognize the supersedence

Pink_Freud reacted to mooms in Flash Player Plugins SFX & AddOn Maker
That's because 7zip have switched to LZMA2 compression by default. The sfx module used is for LZMA.
If you want to use the latest 7-Zip Standalone Console (but why?), you have to modify the command lines in the script or update the sfx module.
Easy solution: keep the one I bundled

Hi,
This occurs often when I make a SFX with WinRAR. I'll try to find the way to make it with 7zip. You can DL it without any problem, I just tested it.

@rhahgleuhargh Yes you create the directories in "sources" folder as such: \sources\$oem$\$$\Setup\scripts\ place setupcomplete.cmd & any KB's in 'scripts' folder.
This works for me for 7 KB's I listed above in the order listed; you could tweak as needed
@echo off cd %~dp0 start /wait %systemroot%\setup\scripts\Windows6.1-KB2533552-x64.msu /quiet /norestart start /wait %systemroot%\setup\scripts\Windows6.1-KB971033-x64.MSU /quiet /norestart start /wait %systemroot%\setup\scripts\Windows6.1-KB2603229-x64.msu /quiet /norestart start /wait %systemroot%\setup\scripts\Windows6.1-KB3046269-x64.msu /quiet /norestart start /wait %systemroot%\setup\scripts\Windows6.1-KB3020369-x64.msu /quiet /norestart start /wait %systemroot%\setup\scripts\Windows6.1-KB3042058-x64.msu /quiet /norestart start /wait %systemroot%\setup\scripts\Windows6.1-KB3112343-x64.msu /quiet /norestart RMDIR /S /Q "C:\Windows\Setup\Scripts" exit HTH

Updated installer with latest 7zsd sfx, should reduce any false positive virus warnings
Off Topic: Also launching my own site/forum Repacks.NET, will of course continue on WinCert (been here for 10 years)
Also planning on getting rid once and for all of AdFly bull****... Also guys I hope you can help me get ricktendo.info domain off the malware list (thanks to tedexmonster for providing the domain and ftp all this time)
Heres how you can help, I already submitted it for review and cleaned up installers with new 7zsd sfx files

@phaolo,
Please have a look in the Installers repack section of this forum. All of these programs can be integrated in "Silent installs + SFX" section of Wintoolkit with silent switches.
@TheOtherJeff,
You can download WHDownloader (idem WUD but more recent) with the lists provided by abbodi1406. He's maintaining the most complete database for OS 7 to 10. There is a link to download the program in Wintoolkit. If you prefer to integrate all updates, you should find all you need with it. You'll just have to be patient, it may take some hours to integrate them (it takes 2-3 hours with the minimal list with my machine : Pentium I5, SSD, and 8 GB of RAM). On the changelog of list you'll find all superseded and added updates since previous change.
Integrating all updates vs. only asked updates is just a question of opinion. I personly never encountered any problem since years with this method (with icare's list for Windows XP and mooms pack for 7).
The reasons including only needed updates are basically :
- Once installed, when your computer will connect to WU, only important updates will be installed (and some optional wil be proposed to you). If you prefer to choose the solution to integrate all updates, you'll have to go to M$ Download center each month to get them.
- Time saving (in my case, it's just a hobby for me and I'm very busy with my own work)
- A lot of updates are optional and the corrected bugs only affect a few people,
- Some updates are useless if you don't enable all Windows features (with my list you can download the important updates for these features)
- Since Windows 10 a lot of updates enable telemetry reports to M$, or prepare your machine to OS migration, even if you don't want to.

Pink_Freud reacted to bphlpt in How to avoid being "upgraded to Win 10" against your will?
This comes from our good friends over at MSFN. I felt this was an important enough issue to be quoted directly here. I would hope that Liam will make sure that Win Toolkit is set up such that users will not install these updates and/or share info back to MS unless that was indeed what they wanted and intended to do. Forewarned is forearmed!
Many thanks to NoelC for raising the issue and to dencorso for putting this summary together.
Cheers and Regards

Pink_Freud reacted to mooms in Dism++ - puissant outil de nettoyage et tweaks.
Topic en anglais: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/59389-Dism-A-Powerful-Tool-of-Clean-and-Tweak
Traduction partielle:

If you put tthe KBs of MSE, Skype & Silverlight as KBXXXXXXX not as name it works and hides those KBs.
A special case is Silverlight:
if you hide only KB3056819, this will be hidden, but WU requests for 6 older Silverlight KBs!
They are:
KB2977219
KB2636827
KB2668562
KB2617986
KB2512827
KB2526954
Just tested in a VM, x86 HP.
You can see: no optional-updates anymore!
Have a nice week-end, Thiersee
