The issue may be caused by several factors, such as corrupted system DLL files, a corrupted Windows Update temporary folder, or stopped update services. In order to narrow down the cause of this issue and resolve it, let's refer to the following steps. Please access the Windows Update website to check the result after finishing each step. NOTE: Some third party programs can also affect the Windows Update service. If you are running any the third party applications such as Spyblocker, Internet or Web accelerators (programs associated to boost up the speed of the Internet connection), security or anti-virus programs (Norton, McAfee, etc.), I recommend we temporarily disabl…

Every time I click on it a get error saying that file can not be found. :sigh: It seems that there is an issue with xml extensions association if you install any xml editor like Dreamweaver in my case :shocking: . Copy paste text below to notepad and name it fix.reg, run it and everything should work just fine (it restores default values in registry). Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xml] @="xmlfile" "Content Type"="text/xml" "PerceivedType"="text" [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xml\OpenWithList] [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.xml\OpenWithList\winword.exe] @…

Open a new document with a black background. Make it large enough that you text will have ample space between it and the edges of the image on all sides. Set white as your foreground color and black as your background color by hitting D then X. Create a new layer by hitting Shift+Ctrl+Alt+N (Mac: Shift+Command+Option+N). Use the Text Tool to add your text in white. (In the example, I used 140 pt Eurostile Bold Oblique). With the text layer still active, hold Ctrl (Command) and click the text layer in the Layers palette to make it a selection. Go to Filter>Noise>Add Noise. Click OK to the pop-up asking you if you want to rasterize. Choose …

Productivity Hints and Tips - Working with Files There are so many different types of files that sometimes it can be difficult to remember where a file originated from or what programme or software you use to open and edit. Here's a real simple, quick and easy interface button you can make with PhotoFiltre. In order to complete this tutorial you will need the Gravure Filter and the RGB Fantasy Filter. You can download them both for free on the PhotoFiltre Web Site. Just click on the Plug-ins Link to the left. Once you have them installed you can access them from the Filter / Plug-in menu or your plug-in tool bar if you have them set up there. RGB Fantasy is a Plug-in I use quite often so you may want to download it even if this tutorial is of no interest to you. 1) Open up a new image 200 x 200 with a black background. 2) Select the Rectangle Tool a draw a 150 pixel wide x 40 …

Create a new layer, fill it in white, and go to Filter > Render > Difference Clouds. 2. Next go to Filter > Sketch > Chrome. Use the following settings: Detail: 3, Smoothness: 7. 3. Now repeat step one about two or three times or until you are satisifed. Then go to Filter > Distort > Pinch. I set the amount to 55%, but …
