  1. Have you tried checking your routers WAN settings? Sounds like your router is having problems making a connection with your ISP's gateway. Does the LAN (Local Area Network) work? What is the model # of your router?

  3. i think i've defraged maybe twice in 15 years. However, my favourite defragger today is defraggler.
  4. I dont think removing network components is going to solve your problem. It sounds like the problem may lie within your routers configuration. Can you provide more details about the connection issues you are having? Have you tried calling your Internet Service Provider for help? You may want to request that your question be moved to The Hardware Field Fourm.
  5. SnakeCracker, Thanks for this addon. Strange behaviour when I integrate this to Windows 7 SP1 (7601) image. When I verify the integration defaultBackground.jpg is copied over to SysWOW64/oobe/Info/Background\defaultBackground.jpg and the registry entries are not imported.
  6. Came across this error while bilding a an ISO. I repeated the same process a second time without errors. Windows Toolkit 1.4.0.77 on Windows 7 SP1 (7601) x64 Real Hardware. Attached are is error log along with a screenshot. I also uploaded the same from within WT. Just thought you should know. Best Regards. EDIT :: Disregard, the casue of the error was a corrupt ISO. All Okay. I recomend to anyone using the ISO Maker not to multitask while running the ISO maker tool, unless of course you have CPU that can handle the trafic. I have an i7 running 3Ghz and still managed to corrupt my ISO while light multitasking.
  7. Just my 2 bits. I personally use a Hardware firewall (Router). Much more resource friendly. Plus you can stop traffic at the Hardware level. Software firewalls, in my opinion are lame. However, If I had to pick a Software Firewall solution, Agnitum Outpost Firewall would be the one. Good Luck everyone.
  8. Just my 2 bits. Nothing spectacular here. Just another IE browser same crap, different pile. Just, my opinion. If you want to hear more, just ask. But I just don't see anything more than just another bloated M$ IE browser. Preview? Haa! Dont expect anything interesting in the final release.
  9. Windows Toolkit does not copy the apps folder over to the target drive like WPI. With Win Toolkit the Apps / Installers folder is executed from the install media. WPI can be made to copy the installer files over to the target drive prior to executing the installers. It would be nice if Windows Toolkit could do the same. This would allow for users to span their install.wim over multiple DVD's / CD's without breaking the integration of silent installs. Windows Toolkit as of 1.4.0.77 has a component to split a WIM to span over multiple DVD's but with limitations. See what I mean?
  10. ianymaty, Thanks for your insight. I have previously tried your recomendations prior to your post. As I previouly indicated, I dont think the problem is with weather the disc is unallocated or not, or the BIOS boot order. The DVD method works flawlessly weather or not the drive is partioned prior to installation. Also the DVD method works flawlessly no matter of the BIOS boot order. I beleive I have found the problem to lie with the way Windows PE reads Removable 'bit' on my UFD. I believe if i toggle the removable 'bit' partion on my UFD and the partion, make it bootable, and tradsfer the boot-sector. I will be able to sucessfuly install windows 7 from my UFD. I will share my findings when I test my theory this weekend.
  11. Interesting approach. Sounds perfectly sound. Windows Toolkit doesnt copy the apps folder over to the target drive like WPI. With Win Toolkit the Apps / Installers folder is executed from the install media. As with WPI the installers are copied over to the target drive prior to executing the installers. It would be nice if Windows Toolkitcould do the same. This would allow for users to span their install.wim over multiple DVD's / CD's.
  12. I've tried WinSetupFromUSB with default and advanced options with no luck. I'm not familiar with WinNTSetup. I realy dont think it's the formating tool that I'm using, I'm almost certain it has something to do with the boot order and AHCI bus, I just cant put my finger on it. I think I'm just going burn the image a Dual Layer DVD. Installing from DVD works flawlessly.
  13. Thanks for all your insight. Anyone want to take a stab at my original question from Post #1 Is it posible to split a WIM image that conatains Addons and Silent installers without breaking the installation of the Silent Installers during RunOnceEx (FIrst desktop load)?
  14. Thanks again, but i dont think I'm going to be able to USB intall to work. I've familiar with both rufus and WinSetupFromUSB. I've tried both tools with the advanced options and still no luck. I something real simple i'm sure. I just cant put my finger on it.
  15. @ianymaty I've tried this method aswell, I thught it had some promise, but no luck. I've tried with M$ Windows7 USB / DVD Tool - No luck Trying Rufus now. It's the strangest thing. The same image will boot and install from DVD but Not from USB. It's almost as if when I try to install from USB setup gets confused about partitioning. I'ts probly something real simple, I'm stumped.
  16. Thanks for your insguht mooms, I've tried with M$ Windows7 USB / DVD Tool - No luck I've tried this method - No Luck It's the strangest thing. 17. I've read alot of post in this topic that request to hack the Sh!t out windows 7. I hope that Windows Toolkit does'nt turn into a vLite RT7 hatchet. The operative word here is Toolkit.
  18. Any insight would be much appreciated. I'm fresh out of ideas. It's begining to look like I'm going to have to go the DVD-DL route.
  19. Any insight on this one? Does anyone use Win Toolkit feature? It's begining to look like I'm going to have to go the DVD-DL route.
  20. @foobuzz Dude, I was finally able to replicate the errors you were getting trying to integrate IE9 using DISM Command Tool. I also tested with your script. Nice Work!. Anyhow, I just wanted to post this to let you know that I know understand your frustration DISM. Thanks for sharing your script and insight.
  21. Is it posible to split a WIM image that conatains Addons and Silent installers without breaking the installation of the Silent Installers during RunOnceEx (FIrst desktop load)? I know I could install from UFD and not have to split my image, but that's not working for me right now. See this post.
  22. Sent him a PM and droped post in the forum.
