    vga problem

it might be related to this http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/15/nvidias-faulty-laptop-gpu-settlement-starts-paying-out-file-yo/
  4. i love the a05 and was going to use that one in my next build until i decided to go even smaller i'm thinking the a05nb might be too small for you since you seem to lean towards larger cases. might want to check the dimensions
  5. this specific model, no, but Lian Li makes good quality products. i used to be a huge antec fan too. actually bought nothing but antec for years but i've been somewhat disappointed with some of their newer cases. maybe i'm just getting older but when i see something like this http://www.tcmagazine.com/images/news/Hardware/Antec/Antec_LanBoy_Air_01.jpg i think YUCK :sick01:
  6. i found a review for the med500x http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/links/reviews-2009-9/review-mede8er-med500x-154/ the strange thing is the review is in a .pdf file but it looks like a decent review i guess. theres a bunch of other reviews, you can look by year to year (med500x was in 2009) http://www.mpcclub.com/forum/links/mpc-reviews-8
  7. this might not be helpful if you've solved the problem already, but i just saw that these got announced and it looked interesting: http://www.engadget.com/2011/01/05/hitachi-gst-releases-cinemastar-hard-drives-aimed-for-a-dvr-near/
  8. well whatever it was, it got fixed. i could now edit the same one i had problems with earlier.
  9. not sure if anyone is interested in this anymore, but this game is in the indie bundle pack. basically they are offering 5 games (Braid, Machinarium, Osmos, Cortex Command and Revenge of the Titans) and you set the price. http://www.humblebundle.com/ part of the money can be allocated for charity as well
  10. i have edited it many times in the past, but today i tried to update it and got this message "You must enter a post." :confused02:
  11. how is the hard drive attached to the device? if its metal on metal, try to set up some vibration isolator for the hard drive. i've never heard of using that tack stuff before but hey it might just work
  12. this has actually been done before..sorta. long ago intel made (i think it was the pentium3 ? ) processors with a unique key for each one. people got paranoid about that and thought they'd be tracked or something.. this was long, long ago so i don't remember much about it. all i remember is i think intel disabled this b/c of the pressure the public put on them
  13. http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7849 ?
  14. ah, thats what i was wondering actually. sometimes you have to register before a certain date or the code is invalid
  15. is there an expiration on the registration?
  16. get back to me when linux can play as many games as windows os and just as fast
  17. you can use the single sided one too? send me a pm with your address i'll wrap it in some bubble wrap or.. maybe i can find an anti static bag somewhere.. maybe
  18. bad news. i found 2 sticks. but i think one might be high density and one might be low density. one has 8 chips on both sides. and one has 8 chips on just one side
  19. your new design reminds me a lot of this one http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,667031/Chieftec-introduces-L-shaped-PC-case/News/
  20. i always wanted one of those. but at the time they came out they were around $400 and i didnt like the glossy screen (prefer matte), but for colors its still one of the best small ones out there. funny referring to a 20" as small lol i remember using some teeny tiny 13 or 14 inch crt back in the day oh and i still recall when 15in lcds were like $1500. how times have changed
  21. get a NEC 2490WUXi and those screen quality issues will go away
