Hello fellow wincert'ers! I've just bought a new nice Seagate FreeAgent Pro USB Drive @ 1TB... I copied all my files on it (400GB+) yesterday, when I got home today it won't start up.. It just makes weak "beeeps" and won't even spin.. I hope you have some tips, or other information that might help me Cheers! MrT

Hi all, I need your suggestions about Wireless Headphones that I plan to buy. Since I have a small baby, the only time I can watch the TV is when she goes to sleep. Now, TV should be quiet, right So, I've decided to buy myself wireless headphones so I can watch movies in quiet room. Hello, i have a big problem with my Windows Vista and Realtek 8187L...After i installed drivers, i try to search for any network(i live in very good place, where wireless networks are available)..So, i went to Start, Connect To..., and i see well i press Refresh, scanning for networks take up to 1-2 seconds, but anyway nothing happens..In Windows XP searching takes up to 10 seconds...I dont know what happens, please HELP...Pleaseeee :crying_anim02:

Okay,about a month ago my bios says it detects a usb mass storage device,and won't boot until i enable usb controllers and enable "stop ehci handover to ohci",so I do that,the comp boots after checking for usb devices and not finding any,"00 mass storage devices detected",because I don't have any usb devices at all! And if disable usb in the bios and reboot,I get a choice of pressing F1 to resume or entering bios to enable the "stop ehci handover" thing.I was always able to disable usb before with no problems,and then this started.It pmo,but I don't know how to fix it. Hello, im thinking of buying myself a computer for chrismas. and it has to be fast and powerful. the computer im thinking of getting is a dell computer: Dell XPS 420 its really nice but i was talking to my friend and he said why not make one from the start cause then you pick what you won't and it will run how you won't it to. he took me to a store near where i live and showed me some stuff. i found 2 Case/Bodys for my ideal computer. Well guys, the time came. I finally built myself a new system. Heres the parts: Intel Pentium Dual Core E2140 1.6Ghz 1Gb DDR 2 667Mhz Ram 250GB Western Digital IDE HDD (Should have gotten SATA, but bought this drive before getting the new system) Will be upgrading this to 2 X 500GB SATA drives come Christmas Nvidia GeForce 7300LE 128MB PCIe Video Card ECS 945GZT-M Mainboard - ECS's site I loaded Vista Ultimate on it, and was more than happy with the results. Thought I should show off my mod here :thumbsup_anim: Alright everyone I have finished installing a touchscreen into my MSI Wind! I have provided some pictures that may help. This is my first touchscreen mod and the first time I have done some advanced soldering ( if you call that advanced ). I am having a little bit of trouble getting the screen centered perfect, though it is not bad and I will leave it as is. hi my mums laptop has just had a cup of tea over it and now i tried to take it apart but idon't have the right tools to open it. its a newish modal from HP if you look at 'My Specs' under Laptop 2 it would tell you most of the hardware inside but is there a way to tell if it still works????? cause she needs to know i have a feeling that it is broken but she needs to know but i said i can't turn it on or it will fri the motherboard and i can't tell if it has gone to the motherboard or not. when i opened the memory bay it had bits of tea inside but not alot were the keyboard has most of tea over it. thank you very much I've fixed it

I just picked up a new laptop on the weekend. I had been thinking of a new laptop for a long time, and finally I decided to make the jump and did it. It's an ASUS F8Sn-D1. Specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 1.83GHz 3GB DDR II 667 250GB HDD nVidia Geforce 9500M GS 14.1" WXGA Glossy Webcam in the display Wireless G DVD Super Multi Burner Windows Vista Home Premium It came with a small USB pocket mouse and a carrying case. I have a friend with a Acer 5520 It came with Vista 64bit and he upgraded to XP 64bit, he no only shows 3g of the 4g he has. What could be the issue? I know nothing about 64bit, so any help is appreciated. THANK YOU

Ever encounter this problem? I'm unable to determine root cause... I thought could be my DVD writer defective. So I swop with a spare CD writer (working one). No luck. Change out IDE ribbon cable. Still no luck Under Device Manager, everything ok. Can even eject thru the Windows context menu in Window Explorer. I suspect MB defective but do not know how to check. Any suggestion? As I'm Slipstreaming XP Pro thru HFslip, I'm unable to test my build.

I have a laptop that has a password protected HDD, is there any way around it? This is a Dell laptop that requires a password for the HDD to load the OS. THANKS

I had a 80G HDD IDE laying around so I bought a enclosure yesterday. Evey time I try to copy to i it freezes up. I can copy the same info to other HDD's that I have with no problems. I have reformatted the enclosure drive. I have even tried in safe mode with no luck. The jumper is set to to CS if your wondering. THANK YOU

Hi everyone, I have a External ASUS DVD Writer . My Laptop is Compaq C304NR which was bought in 2005. The problem i am having is that when i plug the DVD Writer in my Desktop PC it runs and writes DVD Perfectly. But when i plug it in my Laptop it refuses to Write and read DVD but it reads CDs. In other words the 'Burn' button disappears when i insert a Blank DVD while it is plugged into the Laptop. Can anyone tell me where the problem is because both the USB ports of my Laptop works perfectly and still the DVD writer is not working? Can this problem be related with USB port Speed? How can i solve it?

Hey guys, today I went to a local PC retailer and they happened to have this card on clearance. 76 bucks so I thought I'd get it and throw it in my PC, my brother has the 8600GTS and the heatsink is whisper quiet even with a fan. The 7300 I had was very noisy so that was a main point for me. Especially considering I paid 76 bucks for the 7300 less than a year ago :angry: Threw it in, and boy what a dream. Nice and quiet, fast and does what I need it to do. I'm going to throw Vista on here tonight and see what my score is, heavily anticipating it
