Rather than using a DVD, ISO or WIM for a source, is there a way to use an installed OS (Win 7, spak1, preferably) as the source for the new installation?

Hello all, I have integrated a lot of updates in my Windows 7 installation. I also have donwloaded a .NET framework .exe with all updates (SLIM installer from Ricktendo) and added this as a silent installer. Everything is working great when I mount the ISO to a virtual machine and install Windows 7. The installer is running fine and .NET framework is installed. When I use an USB stick with Easy2Boot on it to install the same ISO however the .NET framework executable isn't installed afterwards. I assume that this is caused because the WinToolKitRunOnce.exe isn't able to find the .exe, because after Windows is installed I just have a USB disk with some ISO's on it in a …

Hey Guys, Another question, I had some silent installers inside the WinTool Kit utility but I am installing the setup over PXE so this wasn't working. I ended up taking them out and using the "Delete Old Installers"option but for some reason when I try to install the OS at the end during the "Windows will close" it asks for a file. Specifically, a af.txt (Which belongs to the 7ZIP application I was trying to set as a silent install) I can't find where in the hell it is trying to install this from. I have this Windows 7 x64 S1 downloaded DVD: X17-59465.iso I have a folder with add-ons named "addons", it contains: DreamScene for Windows 7 x64.WA Reapers_Microsoft_HoldEm_6.0.6000.17034_x64_Windows7_AddOn.WA Window7Themes.WA Then I have another folder named "SFX" which contains many .exe files which are silnet installers and sfx executables. Another folder, "themes", it contains 3 themepacks. The last folder, named "updates", it contains a few hundreds of .cab files which are windows updates. HELP! awhile back I encrypted some files - have a userkey.psw icon and encrypt certifi file icon. I dont know how to get into either of these; my computer had been reformatted awhile ago, didnt want anyone into these so followed the instructs to do this.....duh, now I cant remember how to get them open! can anyone help? Developers can do this why can't end users. There are endless queries on the Internet about how to set the default email client to something other than Outlook or Windows Live. Got me to thinking there must be some app or instruction on how to manually place an entry in the Windows 7 Set Default Programs utility, since software developers can do it for apps like Skype, WinRar, PotPlayer, etc. If anybody has run across such a tool, let the community here know. Hello, guys. I'm happy to be part of this great forum and i really hope to learn some new stuff. So i got a question... eh i think i got the answer but just to make sure. So i merge my 32x and 64x install.wim to a single file using the great program WinToolkit and everything is working fine. But if i use the 32x folder to put the new install.wim with the 32x and 64x image inside i can use the repair option only for 32x installs and if i want to repair a 64x install i get the error that I'm not using the correct install. I guess there is a difference between the 32x boot.wim and the 64x boot.wim. This problem is kinda annoying because i still need to have 2x CD's with the …

I have both x64 and x86 versions of windows 7 in one DVD and i want to automate the installation process , so i created an unattend.xml file and it works for the x86 versions. Ein herzliches Hallo Bin gerade dabei das WIN Toolkit erstmalig zu verwenden und habe mich nun schon etwas eingefunden. Nur bei einem rätsle ich, wo ich den Fehler mache. Ich aheb eine Orginal DVD entpackt. Alle Editions bis auf die Starter rausgeschmissen. Dann alle Updates eingespielt. Danach das 4x Image exportiert. Nun bei jedem Image 2x den Namen und 2x die Description gesetzt. Danach das Flag. Und jedes der 4 neu rebuilded. Danach mit dem WIN Manager in die Starter gegangen und die anderen 4 gemerged. Sieht alles sauber aus. Dann rebuilded und ein ISO erzeugt. Wenn ich jetzt installiere, kann ich alle Editionen wählen, nur zeigt er schon beim Lizenzvertrag die…
