Legolash2o got a reaction from dvgbox in WIM Splitter
WIM Splitter is the tool where you can split a large install.wim into smaller *.swm so you can fit your installation disk onto a CD.
Step 1: Select the WIM
Click the first browse button and select the *.wim file you want to split.
Step 2: Choose your 'Size'
Type in the maximum size you want each separate files to be.
Step 3: Select your 'Output' folder
Select the folder you want the new separate files to go.
Step 4: Press start
Press start and wait for it to finish
Option: Rebuild
Rebuild options literally rebuilds the image so that it becomes smaller which then in turn makes your ISO smaller. This is only needed if you have made modifications to an image.

Legolash2o reacted to sarmad93 in LDR-QFE updates option in W7 tool kit?
thumbs up for RICKTENDO64 :-)
Nicely explained thanks.........

Legolash2o reacted to ricktendo in LDR-QFE updates option in W7 tool kit?
They are a mixture of both (GDR+LDR and LDR only,) note that all hotfixes have a LDR branch inside but the ones with both LDR and GDR by default will install the GDR branch unless a previous hotfix with LDR only files was installed, this is the reason for the LDR placeholders...with w7t you dont need to integrate the LDR placeholder hotfixes to force a superseding hotfix to install the same branch, this is what the QFE/LDR option does
More info on LDR/QFE and GDR http://blogs.technet...r-hotfixes.aspx
So in a nutshell: if you want only the security fixes let the hotfix install the default GDR branch...if you want the security+bug fixes force install the LDR branch

Legolash2o got a reaction from Rek1t in USB Boot Prep
The 'USB Boot Prep' tool let's you prepare your USB stick so that you can install Windows Vista/7 from it, your computer does require support to boot from USB for the USB stick to work.
Caution: The 'Full (Format)' button will format everything on the USB stick. W7T will ask if you're sure though.
Yellow: Usually means it is RAW and has not been formatted, not bootable.
Green: This means the drive is already bootable.
Step 1: Plug in your USB stick
This tool won't work without a USB Stick so go ahead and insert one.
Step 2: Select your stick
Hopefully W7T will detect your stick and list it, select the disk/partition you want to be bootable and click start.
Step 3: Select Quick or Full
Quick: This will just mark the partition as 'Active' and convert it to NTFS if needed.
Full: This will 'Clean' the USB stick remove all partitions and data.
W7T will work it's magic and let you know when it's done, once done you just need to copy and paste your installation files onto the USB stick.

Done the majority of those, not going to do the last one as that requires going through all the pages. However the tab problem effects you badly in the future, feel free to mentioned it in here
I won't do it unless specified, because i'm lazy and i've got work soon
However i will fix the hotkeys for AIO (where you can press Ctrl+a for select all, etc..)

Also W7T has links to official SP1 DVDs for free so RT7Lite is pretty much useless now.

Legolash2o got a reaction from Uncle_Gadget in Multiple 'Component Removal' and AIO passes on same image
Should be fine, but there is nothing wrong with doing everything in one go, it does its work in the correct order

Legolash2o got a reaction from sirtex in Windows 7 Toolkit v1.3.0 BETA
v53 released
*NEW: Black Viper presets for tweaks.
*Tweak: Change CMD Text has more options.
*Added skip button on startup form (splash)
*Added new IE9 MSU links
*W7T will add some updates to silent installer if they can't be integrated
addons are different, addons can directly install the application before Windows installation. Although i do think some addons do u silent installer like .NET 4

Legolash2o got a reaction from Chares in USB Based Install - Security Warnings
that's what i mean't, disable it when it starts and re-enable it when it finishes.

Legolash2o got a reaction from Chares in Driver Architecture Detection on add
As well as the addition to above, i have made drivers which are NOT mean't for the OS you have selected they will appear in red, you can then use the 'Remove' > 'Remove All Invalid (Red)' option at the top (W7T v50) to remove them all in one go.
I believe this is much better because if you 'throw you an error' it would do it for each one which would be very annoying so the method i have implement is much quicker!
EDIT: This request is finished, closing....

Legolash2o got a reaction from rosario in Windows 7 Toolkit News [IMPORTANT]
It's nice to have a new laptop again! Just thought i let you know that from Friday 16th i will not be uploading new versions for a while (1-2 weeks) because i will be moving to University and i won't have an internet connection. I will only be releasing any bug fixes between now and Friday as i have to pack my stuff.
Meanwhile in my spare time whilst i don't have the internet i will be trying to add some requests listed in the requests sub-forum.
In case your wondering what i will be doing at University it will be BSc Computer Science: Computer Software Development.

Legolash2o got a reaction from sirtex in Two column view on the Tweaks section
Best i can do..
Normal View:
Full Screen:
Adding the collapse/expand groups will mean W7T will not be able to run on XP apparently...
EDIT: I tried but it ended up just crashing W7T lol.
EDIT: Still kept trying, still crashes so i'm going to mark this as complete by closing the thread.
