Automated testing is going very very well so far. It's picked up quite a few bugs and I've fixed them all. If things keep up being this well, WinToolkit v2.x should be a very stable release The hard and longest part of it is to think of as many tests are possible, and to make sure my tests are working correctly.

When I try to click on some button in win toolkit v.2x prototype, such as the all in one integrator is doesn't load the function it should.

As part of the v2.x, I planned on revamping the exclusive downloads section. I've now moved it to a website in which you register and enter your license key too. Once registered you will be taken to a list of exclusive downloads. It is NOWHERE near finished and some downloads are still being uploaded but does anyone want to test the area and give feedback? Any ideas, comments, etc... UPDATE: No more places for now, got lots of feedback. I will ask again at a later date NOTE: All downloads should be uploaded within 2 hours as of writing this. Introduction So as you may or may not be aware. Win Toolkit v2.0 has been accepted to be my final year project. That means a year and a half of researching, re-designing, re-coding and re-testing). I'm considering the idea of having a FREE version and a PRO version of WinToolkit v2.x. It's not set in stone. So here are some questions: What do you think should be available to the PRO version but not the FREE version? Obviously driver + update integration will be free. How much would you be willing to pay for the PRO version?Any other input? I will add that if i did choose the pro / free options. I would have a bog standard installer with no offers and remove the ads (on links) for the pro users.

As part of my final year project (if approved). I will be focusing a lot on threading. Currently Win Tookit uses background workers with apparently are bad for performance. I've been experimenting and here are some results compare the current method used by Win Toolkit and a new method. Parallel will also use more CPU cores and I will let you choose in Options how many you want to use. By default it would be ProcressorCount - 1, so if you have a quad core with hyperthreading (8), it will use 7 by default. Hello. Just a quick question - how does one slipstream a service pack the right way? They come in .exe format, and the update integrator only accepst .msu or .cab and IE/XPM .exe's. Do I just add it to sielnt install or is there something I missed?

Do you guys think it would be useful if I made a small tool which would help you localize WinWoolkit? For example, it would download the latest template and ONLY show you what needs translating. Feel free to ask for some other requests for it too Another example is that it will then give you the chance to upload your template and in Win Toolkit itself, the user has a chance to download it from a list of user templates

With the error dialog done (apart from uploading). Today I'm taking the time to update the icons and GUI of existing screens, and most likely bug fixes too. Not all icons are final but any feedback which you can provide will be helpful.

Will be very usefull if the following it is possible, to be added in Toolkit: When you edit some WIM file WinToolkit using DISM for mount-unmount Modified date is not changed, and I've find out that if after mounting Wintoolkit capture the mounted folder and unmount with discarding changes from the first one, and put new captured install.wim to overwrite the old one, in Select Edition window date in "Modified date" will be changed. OK I've done a little test and made the MSU to CAB Converter work with 45 updates. Here are the results: v1.x, 1 at a time: 12 seconds. v2.x, 8 at a time: 3.5 Note: I have 8 logical processors (4 core + HT) If you have a 2 core CPU, it will do 2 at a time.
