  10. Hello all, I am looking to slipstream vista sp2 into my existing iso. I have tried all other programs including vlite but I am unsuccessful win tool kit is my last hope. I have set up my own computer repair business and am building up All in One operating systems. I have successfully made a Win7 x86 and x64 iso with all versions and updated it with all latest updates and from this site integrated framework 4.5 with the help of abbodi1406 post. The Vista install ISO I am using has all versions for x86 with SP1. 12. Guys As we all know Microsoft released first service pack for Windows Vista this March and tried to fix all broken things in Vista including bugs, performance issues, security issues, etc. When Windows Vista was under testing, I found several bugs and reported them to Microsoft but to my disappointment, almost all of them are still present in SP1. Only 1 bug got fixed in SP1 but other bugs are still present and can be easily re-created. So I want to ask you a simple question! Do you think, its time for Microsoft to release SP2? I posted an article earlier containing all Vista bugs which can be easily re-created on any Vista machine. One of them is as following: File Renam…

Hi guys! One day I was sorting my 500gb external usb harddisk, I had reached my GFX section, and began to move pic's around. At some point, it said 'unable to delete, file not found blabla'. So I tried CHKDSK... Still nothing, I tried command promt... Still nothing... No matter what I try, it fails to delete the file (XP/VISTA/UBUNTU afair). It's insane if I need to reformat, so I was thinking that maybe you guys had a solution. I have this now: E:\Graphix\Strange **** E:\Graphix\Strange ****\January 2008 E:\Graphix\Strange ****\January 2008\Thumbs.db:encryptable E:\Graphix\Strange ****\XCF E:\Graphix\Strange ****\XCF\Thumbs.db:encryptable ANY help is highly appreciated…

I have a fairly old Dell PC from 2003. It has a 120GB hard drive, 768MB of RAM and a Pentium 4 2.0Ghz processor. Could I install Windows Vista Home Basic on this computer. I willing to do a Full install so I don't have any software problems. Edit: My computer is currently running Windows XP Pro.

This morning I was busy on the internet and as something was opening my screen went blank. The pc was still running, I moved the mouse, still nothing. I tried alt/ctrl/del, nothing. Then I tried to restart, nothing, then I switched it off manually. I looked at the cables and found the monitor had somehow become unpluged. I pluged it in and switched the pc on. Instead of booting up I get a message that a registry file is corrupt or missing. I tried inserting the instalation disc and restarting. I get the same message no matter what I try. I can't go into the bios or boot up area as the message appears on everything. Please help.

With Vista Codec Package installed, you won't need to install any other codec or filter. Many user suggested default settings are implemented. Vista Codec Package does not contain a media player. It does not associates filetypes. With this package installed you will be able to use any media player (limited only by the players capabilities) to play DVD's, movies and video clips of any format. Streaming video (real and quicktime) is supported in web browsers. Visit the homepage to get a 64bitAddon which enables xvid, divx and DVD playback in Vista's MediaCenter. Codecs have always been a pain in the butt. Vista Codec Package takes from the best, all the big name creators, s…

  25. After a week of extensive testing, the CRN Test Center found that users of Windows Vista and Windows XP are equally at risk to viruses and exploits and that overall Vista brings only marginal security advantages over XP. One of Microsoft's big promises with Vista was a more secure operating system. But when stripped to the bare bones and thrown into the wild, wild Web, Vista's security failed to impress Test Center engineers. Vista remains riddled with holes, despite its multilayer security architecture and embedded security tools. Besides providing no improvement in virus protection vs. XP, Vista brings little or no security gains over its predecessor against such threat…
