Well, all the ICQ users hate ICQ6, it's heavy, ugly and ... full of crappy banners. That's why many prefer the old 5.1. BUT.... When you run 5.1, after the installation, it asks you to upgrade to 6, or close ICQ, so you have no choice. That's why... Someone made the update patch, it just stops this crappy message and lets you use ICQ 5.1. 1)So... should I make a ICQ 5.1 addon with the patch? 2)Is it legal to create a ICQ addon without all the banners? Hello all, I have noticed that the sidebar seems to be using a lot of memory just to run it is even higher than Outlook and Word which is never easy to beat. I have closed all the gadgets and the sidebar still consumes about 94,808k of memory. When I have the gadgets running it consumes more memory but not a lot considering I run about 10 gadgets. Please see the picture for any details. If you need more details just let me know and I can arrange for you.

i've only thought about doing something like this for a day or two, so i havent done much research into the matter. i know nlite can do some reg tweaks, but i'm not sure about what to do if you want to add some custom ones to the build. if anyone has some info to share, or possibly some useful links about it, please pass them along. thanks

Hi all, I have install the Windows Vista RTM Sidebar from ricktendo64. It's working great in US language on my French WinXP ! I've remplaced all the files from the originals French files Vista to the SidebarWindows Vista RTM Sidebar. All working in French, only if I keep all the originals directories en-US, just remplacing the files. But from the originals directories of the French Windows Vista Sidebar, the directories are fr-FR. If I directly copy a French Gadget in my modified French Windows Vista RTM Sidebar, the Gadgets don't appears. I must rename the directory fr-FR to en-US, and it's working fine. I started using Comodo firewall and antivirus and I like them. Since these programs require activation is it possible to make them into a addon? I have not made a addon nor do I understand how to make a addon. If I knew how I would post many addons. Perhaps if I knew of a decent tutorial that explains how to make them I would understand more. Hello, I have a problem where some of addon cannot be install during XP setup. When i integrate with nlite, all the addon have been added to the .iso which i can see it clearly in i386 folder. I have tried disabling the sfc and enable it. I have tried to compile under xp sp2(untouch) and sp3(untouch). All the addon md5 is correct. I have noticed that all the addon that can't be install have a .cab file. Is it a common issue or only i have this kind of problems? I have been trying to find solution from many web, but i can't find one that help me fix this. So, anyone that can help, please show me that right path.
