Win Toolkit

Hey, My question, use Alphawaves Downloader of WinToolKit the same Updatelist-Sources as in Windows Hotfix Downloader? Or exist any differences, like other creator, server, release dates, folders or other? What are the differences ? Please just answers from safe ones, thank you!

I have had run into this issue twice now. My Windows 7 installs perfectly drivers and all, but when the Windows boots up for the first time to install my silent installers it's asking me to browse for the installers. Problem is, it seems to not detect the USB drive so I have to just exit out and manually install everything. Weird thing is I've used this image on 3 images, 2 had the issue 1 did not. I plugged the USB image into the same USB port of every laptop. I'm not sure if this is a bug or if I'm doing something wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! I searched Autounattend.xml in the forums but was unable to determine if there exits an Autounattend.xml that will work on both x64 & x86 when placed in the root of the DVD without extra .bat files and other kludges? If so, can someone post one. Thanks.

Hey Everytime i install a from a USB key.. it starts to install driver and programs at the same time? How to Disable the driver installation?? I haven't integrated any driver at all.. but its looking though my USB key.. and start going through them all Can i disable that feature?? Sorry bad english!

Yay, hi Liam, I cannot move multiple items, why? I select a group of updates, example all from "additionals" and try to move to end of the list. WTK say i have to select one by one, thats very inefficient and need much time... (My while way is to move all in a new Group, example IE and then back move to Updates.) Greez

I used the latest version of the windows toolkit to import some drivers. And when i install windows i see the Wintoolkit popup for installing the drivers. How do i remove one or more drivers, (Or the whole popup) from my excisting image? Some drivers are malfunctioning.

Hello ! Im new with the wintoolkit integrator and silent install. I made usb bootable with all windows 7 version, x86/x64, 2 language pack and all windows updates. After 25 hours to integrated all updates in x86 and approximately same time for all x64 windows version. I noticed 4 errors at the end of x86 and 4 others at the end of x64 integration . now the installation make an error at ¼ before the end of the installation. .txt file in attachement. thank you . Hello Guys, This is my first OS-compile, and it would be nice if somebody more advanced in this stuff could look if this is ok. It seems like a wise thing to ask before I use it for production. The download update program download almost 600 patches for win-7-X64! Hi Lego, I just tested the installer (VM): it's OK, but people should know, they should install it in user-modus (NOT express) and de-select the installation of the awesome-bar and search-engine, otherwise they get some not wanted-software. Silent-Switches are: /S /NCRC. With this switches no other software has been installed. And a small bug have I already found: uninstalling the program the folder WinToolkit on C: and WinToolkit-RunOnce (.log, .exe, .cfg) have not been deleted. Regards, Thiersee

I'm running an i5 cpu. Since integrating updates and drivers takes a bit of time, I'm wondering if its a problem if I play a game during the integrations ? Does wintoolkit need full cpu usage ? Will errors occur if I occupy the cpu with other programs ? Also, is it recommended that I perform the integrations in steps ? Or is processing updates and drivers at the same time fine ? I've noted some users seem to prefer incremental integrations vs all at once. However I'm not sure if thats just by preference or more effective / less errors ? Thanks !

I'm having a hard time integrating IE11 into this image I'm creating for our office. I put the IE prerequisites (seems to be only 1 file) and IE 11 with the Spelling Libraries and the Hyphenation libraries. Though when windows installs it seems to put the IE 11 install in silent installs. Not sure why. Maybe I'm missing an update? I tried to read the forums here but I don't see anything that helps me. Adobe Reader I use a silent installer .msi file with /quiet /norestart switches and it check marks it as if it installed but the installer just stops and cancels. There seems to be an argument about updates that should and shouldn't go into the Silent Installers. I'm open to suggestions but how about this solutions... If an update doesn't integrate, it THEN gets moved to the silent installers automatically. Until then, it will stay in the updates category?
