  1. Yes they are. An ulz file is actually a zipped xml (text) file with ul extension that you can open with your favorite text editor and see all the download urls. That's not possible, because such program will need the download links, but at least a program like WUL from Nirsoft can list all the updates installed on your sytem. edit: Thiersee already answered....
  2. In my tests, Defraggler was a lot more slower than Auslogics disk-defrag. O&O free is interesting, but when you compare the missing features vs pro version, Auslogics seems a better choice. Using the trial can be good for a one time defrag, but the real advantage of its kind of defrag software is the scheduled/auto defrag to keep a low level of fragmentation .
  3. 30€ for a defragmenter is a litlle high, even if it's the better of its kind. In the past I have used perfectdisk, was also very good. The main problem with these tools (excluding the price) is all the bloat they install, like services, startup entries, internet connections.... Now I just use Auslogic disk Defrag, it's free and enough for my needs (as many these days my system disk is a SSD).
  4. WinToolkit is freely available on many websites. You can also rehost the files, mediafire is very good for little files, or even simplier, if they are less than 10 MB you can attach them on your mail.
  6. Old hardware ?
  8. Thanks for the update rick. @tistou77: check the MD5.
  9. The installer is bundled with adware, use the portable version.
  10. In winToolkit, silent install+SFX (no switches needed).
  11. I have a question about VC++ 2012 & 2013: Why are they splitted into two packages each (minimal & additional) ? On my PC, I have only one package for each for VC++ 2012 (2013 not installed): What's the benefit of the minimal package, and since your installer always install both, why not using the one found here & here ?
  13. Thanks. Can we use the with DP_Install_Tool.cmd or it is only to be used with WTK ?
  14. Merci rhahgleuhargh.
  15. Hey rick, do you plan to update 4.5.2 with KB2972216 ?
  16. Maybe it is still in the recycle bin in MEGA ?
  17. I see you have removed from MEGA the previous version with drivers for Windows 7, I don't use Windows 8(.1) and I know I'm not the only one, so maybe you should keep the "old" version.
  18. I'm using french images from digital river, the last one I created was on 06-14-2014 and includes .NET 4.5 repacked by ricktendo.
  19. This is my case, both on VM and on real hardware. Are you sure your host machine is clean ?
  20. See this about ei.cfg You chan also use this little prog to do it. Also, don't waste DVD, try your ISO on VirtualBox/VMWare, then once your are satisfied with the result, use WinToolKit or Rufus to create a bootable USB drive (8GB at least).
