I don't believe that order of updates matters. I usually put KBs in number order as you do. For KB4041083, it depends wich DNF installer you choose : icare's one is up to date, I don't know if it's the case for the others (if they aren't, this update is asked). I understand. I'm just happy using the procedure I made (I made a doc to refer to) that the IE11 failing to install issue has been resolved. The only kb's in my silent at this point are 2685811 and 2685813. It was just curious to me why 2685813 INSTALLS but 2685811 does NOT. I ASSume they are very similar, but understand your explanation. No big thing, just trying to get this to be PERFECT. right now I'm a very happy camper. Once again all your efforts (and thiersee's) MUCH APPRECIATED! regards... Hi, is KB2978120 really replaced by KB4040980? Cause WU is still asking for it and the MS artice doesn't mention it....
rhahgleuhargh
@Unikat2000 Yes it should. KB4041090 is security only .net framework Rollup, but it includes the same things as KB4040980. I uninstalled this update in my VM, and effectively it's asked by WU ! A new WU bug ? In your case, did you a fresh installation with UL or just a manual uninstallation ? I stopped integration tests for classic installation and just do them for CR. If this update is still asked, I'll put it back. Edited September 17, 2017 by rhahgleuhargh
Unikat2000
@rhahgleuhargh It happenend with afresh installation (classic method intergration) in my VM I added the KB2978120 together with KB4040980 on a second pass and this time everything was ok. rhahgleuhargh
@Unikat2000 OK, bug confirmed. I tried to install security only update, and this KB is still asked. I'll reupload the ULs. thanks for reoprt.
rhahgleuhargh

Ditto. I called mediaFire. That was 30 minutes of my life wasted. Firstly i basically needed an interpreter. Their support is NO SUPPORT. Hopefully this can be resolved in time for October uls. rhahgleuhargh
@pennsylvaniaron @Thiersee Links were disabled from Mediafire because of a claim by M$. I suppose they have robots that track every file including "Windows" "SP", and ULs were downloaded almost 3500 times since they are released. I don't break the rules since links in ULs are those from M$ servers, and no files are hacked. I don't want to waste my time joining M$ to remove the claim. And if M$ did its job correctly with updates, ULs would be useless... So links are removed, and files have been posted in Wincert server (as it's the case for Office and Win10 ULs). Thiersee
Hi Ron, you can take the list from September, delete KB4038777 and put KB4041681 in there: it's the only change this month.
rhahgleuhargh
@pennsylvaniaron @Thiersee Hi, Yes, nothing new this month except Monthly Quality Rollup. No update superseeded. EDIT : KB3080079 (classic) removed from ULs I won't do any test this month, too much work. ULs will be uploaded this evening. rhahgleuhargh
@pennsylvaniaron KB4043766 contains DNF4.7 update but part of DNF3.5.1 KB4040980 is the same one as september.
pennsylvaniaron
minor issue last month and now October. kb2533552 somehow finds its way into my NEW FOLDER (where I extract a win 7 iso) in the wintoolkit apps folder. Its not in my silent list nor in my updates list. when the screen comes up with the 4 problem updates I check all 4 and they go to my silent list. I then delete all 4 of them. I just double checked both lists. the only one that goes in the wintoolkit apps folder is 2533552. I have to go to that folder and delete it. No comprende regards...
