Which one and why, please at least give it some reason. Even if its just a trivial one. I'm trying to compare which browser our users prefer the most. I am using Google Chrome browser from the day it hit beta stages, and I continued to use it since then. My opinion on Chrome: Pros: - User Interface is very simple and clear - It is very fast, probably the fastest browser today (Article) - Bookmarks manager and simplicity of adding a new bookmark - Modularity, if one of the tabs freezes, others continue to work. For that reason, each tab is ran in its own process. Cons: - No RSS support ( I really miss this one) - No addons (Firefox is an addon king, hats down for tha…

Heya everyone, granted I haven't been active here recently but I hope people won't begrudge me some assistance because of this {things have been hectic in life recently}... anyway, am here to ask if any of you know the AdminCP URL? My instruction manual says; www.routerlogin.net but this just takes me to a useless support page with no log in ...or... can one control the router another way? Router Model: WGT624 See, I've had this router for a few months (if not a year) and well, I guess these instructions are a little invalid.

Here s the situation. Computer #1 is connected directly to the printer Computer #2 is networked on a home-file/printer sharing network with computer #1 as the main computer. I have had this working so #2 could print with #1 acting as the printer server. Now however, I can ping #2 from #1 but not the other way. If I disable the firewall in #2 the results are the same. If I disable the firewall in, both I can ping #1 from #2 but I still cannot print from #2. Is this clear and if so what might the problem be?

Some of the latest security updates for Windows XP will not be installed on machines infected with a rootkit virus. A rootkit is sneaky malware that buries itself deep inside the Windows operating system to avoid detection. Microsoft said it had taken the action because similar updates issued in February made machines infected with the Alureon rootkit crash endlessly. The latest updates can spot if a system is compromised by the Alureon rootkit and halt installation. http://www.wincert.net/news/security/2033-infected-xp-owners-left-unpatched-.html

I've received several suspicious e-mails in the last couple of days, so I've decided to check the contents of the attached .zip file and without a surprise, there was an .exe file in it. What is not good, is the fact that neither Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus nor Eset Nod32 wasn't able to detect it once I've scanned the file. At least Microsoft Outlook mail scanner marked this mail as spam. So I wasn't entirely unprotected The bogus message subject is something like this: Subject: UPS Tracking Number 8279775. Sender: UPS Manager Ramona Mock parcel@ups.com Here's the subject of the mail: Dear customer! The courier company was not able to deliver your parcel by…

I have had this recurring problem several times. I have 4 networked computers at home, all XP Pro SP2 with all the updates. Using 'Workgroup' and IP addresses 192.168.1.100 on up. I do a fresh Windows installation, go through the Network set up, turn in file sharing and share the drives. All the normal stuff. Everything usually works, at least for a while. Shortly after, my network will start break down. My main computer can see and access all others. But other computers can't access it. Or vice versa. Get access denied errors. Or the computer will be completely "invisible" to others. My NAS computer might be only able to send data from it to others. Switch to …

I use Windows Remote Desktop Connection alot in my house to connect to the other computers in my house but I was wondering if there was a way to connect to my PC's from a computer that is not connected to my house but only using Windows Remote Desktop Connection. All my computers are connected to a router and still havent found a way to bypass it as all computers ip address would be set to 192.168.0.x which is local host on the router so you can't type that in on Windows Remote Desktop Connection off my network. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
