Win Toolkit Requests

Request to add a feature or tool within the Addon maker to install and test Win Toolkit AddOn. Currently their is a somewhat viable tool that was created by 'Dark Madness' which can be found in the Forum (cant seem to find it right now) but it comes in the form of UI or command line tool. Their does'nt seem to have been any developement on the tool in over a year. I've tried it on a few Addons with mixed results. Anyhow, not all that important, but it does come in handy for me when I want to test an Addon on a live systems. Best Regards.

Note System temporary files used by Windows are stored in the single hidden folder below by default. %systemdrive%\Windows\TempUser temporary files are stored in the hidden folder below by default. Each user account, has their own separate TEMP folder. %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Temp please add tweak to WT to change default temp folder. I want to set temp folder as %systemdrive%:\Temp and integrate such a tweak in OS image

Hi Lego, I will be very happy if you can add: - an option to have MS Update enabled (instead of Windows Update) done see this - an option to disable system restore done see this - an option to disable Windows Defender edit: not the service. - an option to not not show the "send to recycle bin" confirmation when you hit the "supp" key. Sorry for these newbie questions. I am currently starting to evaluate Win Toolkit. I want to create a Win 7 Pro ISO WITH ALL Patches already applied. Therefore I started Wintoolkit process and selected one of the public available Win 7 ISOs. At some stage I get to the All-in-One Integrator. When I go now to the tab Basic--->Updates+ Languages then it seems to me that I have to add all currently available Patches manually. Furthermore all these patches (= *.cab files) must be already downloaded and stored on the local hard disk. Is this really true? I could imagine that there is a menu/option "search for all available patches…

Hi Lego, WTK_v1.4.30 (and upwards) moves some KBs to the silent-installers; OK. I normally build an ISO with only updates, then I build a second ISO with the remaining "sections" (AddOn, Files, Wallpapers, Silent-Installers and so on. What happens with the "moved" KBs, when I load my INI? They disappears from installer-tab in WTK, but they remains in folder WinToolkit_Apps (and I suppose in WinToolkit_RunOnce): will they get installed or the WinToolkit_RunOnce will be overwritten? If overwritten, this is my request: can you buil in the possibility to add more than one item using a list (INI) and NOT selecting single items? TNX, Thiersee

Small request, maybe there is a possibility to add additional locations and variables as Addon Maker has them? For example: %APPDATA% %PROGRAMDATA% %LOCALAPPDATA% %PUBLIC%

Heyho, yay the title say it. It would be nice to see all integrated always if worked with WTK, not just at integrating is finished. Maybe a available option (standard=deactivated) for beginner, and available for experienced user. greez

1) Why wintoolkit tries integrate WMF3.0 updates first and then the WMF3.0? I can not change the order because the updates are in BASIC, and WMF3.0 is in Silent Install - SFX 2) wintoolkit could better manage updates when list them? For example, I add to the list of everything related to integration "AD LDS" and the program first tries to integrate the updates and then the AD LDS. So it is with the update to "RSAT". Hey Liam, At the moment, WTK use martins uxtheme-patcher, that pacht just uxtheme.dll, shsvcs.dll and themeui.dll: http://www.syssel.net/hoefs/software_uxtheme.php?lang=en It would be nice to have a option to use custom resources for example explorere.exe and shell32.dll. It exist various "Patcher" they can be also added into WTK as tweak, same way as theme-patcher. BTW: It would be much better that WTK patch/add the files itself instead of 3thparty tools. Hey Liam, How are you? Here, it would be very nice that WTK apply some updates also in boot.wim. It exist some updates they can be integratet in both boot.wim images. And ya off cause the allmost requestes dism-cleanup. (1. Cleanup before integrating, and 2. After [just able on boot.wim]) Greez

Hi im new to this forum. Maybe i'm just to stupid but for me it does not work to load more than one installation file. When i load one installation file and then another, the entries from the first file disappear. I'm using the version 1.5.4.9. Hopefully some can give me some advice. Thanks!

This has probably been asked before, and solved! But: When adding new upates to the image file & WinToolKit finishes, it shows all updates tweaks etc. that have been created and added/removed from the wim so far. Would it be possible to generate a list of all the work you've done to the wim file? If I hit the save button I get the same as the preset I've just named and saved before it started. At the moment I'm searching through my saved presets and trying to match up the 'unmatched' to make up a "Total" preset in case I start from scratch, which I do, for fun. Would appreciate being able to integrate DriverPack (http://driverpacks.net/) archives directly in the Drivers tab of AIO integrator, without having to expand them beforehand. These are 7-zip archives, not sure if you have a suitable decomposer already built-in to Win Toolkit? Would also be helpfult to directly integrate regular .zip archives from other sources. The tweaks are very useful, even to the current running OS. It would be great if wintoolkit can also be used as a tweaking tool, not only customizing installation images. Thanks.

as a request just to build a burn engine into w7t for conveinience rather than having to use other 3rd party tools.personaly i work with a lot of iso files and images built with w7t .using an in built burner i could do everything via the one tool. thanks in advance.

I like to request a feature similar to Windows7-USB/DVD Tool for burning created ISO's to USB or DVD. At the moment the USB Boot Preparation tool just makes USB bootable, but you still have to manually copy/paste the files from the ISO, and this can take quite some time.

Currently it is situating at the corner It would be much more consistent and prettier for the eye, if it was at the center of the screen and always on top. As All installers arent completely silent, some display nasty separate progresbar, etc...making setup windows popup randomly. On Older versions WinToolkit installer itself covered them nicely up, eliminating that annoyance. As tastes differ, probably make it optional, via checkbox in WinToolkit AIO tool options tab, where you could control its behaviour? Ticked = Center & On Top Unticked = Current Default behaviour.

I know you said no more requests but seams is needed more and more in the latest time.
