    Started by Guest,

I've been using both RT7Lite and win toolkit, and noticed that RT7 Lite actually gives you the option to remove the services, not just disable them, you could add the category in component removal if you will please, ulness they're already scattered around there, i saw a few, but if they're not already there, could u add this option? This is just because I Like to try to make the OS as small as possible, and remove the services i never use. Also, can you put them under a services category in component removal? Also, I noticed that in component removal win toolkit only allows you to remove Local packs, while RT7 lite lets you remove language packs, is this the same…

This has probably been asked before, and solved! But: When adding new upates to the image file & WinToolKit finishes, it shows all updates tweaks etc. that have been created and added/removed from the wim so far. Would it be possible to generate a list of all the work you've done to the wim file? If I hit the save button I get the same as the preset I've just named and saved before it started. At the moment I'm searching through my saved presets and trying to match up the 'unmatched' to make up a "Total" preset in case I start from scratch, which I do, for fun. Off that topic, I used to ewdit a saved txt or a.n.other file to remove older presets from the list I…

  4. I noticed that when i download for example McRip Win7 x64 all the downloaded files had their modify dates changed to current date. I would like if WTK would respect and preserve file dates as they appear on the server.

  5. Hello. How about an option to permanently change the default folder view? I find that when using the Open/Save dialog window, the view does not remain to what you set it to. When using nLite on an XP build, the change does remain intact. I have found a registry hack so the OS will remember the change but would like a more permanent change. Also, during the unattended process, there is an option to select which OS you want installing i.e. Ultimate, Professional, Home Premium, etc... please allow this to be pre-determined when using the Unattended Creator as this is the only option that I need to tick to make a complete Autounattend.xml file. I can still make an Auto…

  8. Hi Lego, it would be nice, if possible and not to difficult to implement, to have the possibilty to switch between "Prompt" and "Always installed" (like for "copy folder" column). Otherwise I must put the same program with another name into the "Always installed" and delete it from the section "Prompt" (or in the opposite way). TNX, Thiersee

  9. It would be great if Win Toolkit could perform Driver compatability check during drivers integration. So that no x64 drivers would integrate into x86 distro.

Would be nice Lego if you could add the rebuilt .net 4.5 installer (people may prefer it because its less heavily moddified than the slim) to your downloads section (IDK maybe remove the 4.0?) And dont you think it would be better to move WinToolkit sub forum out from under the Windows 7 sub forum since WTK also supports Windows 8?

It would be great if WinToolkit would delete outdated update packages from the currently loaded image. In my image for instance, i have still internet explorer 8 and 9, although i use 10.

@Legolash2o When we want remove unwanted install.wim images works fine using WinToolkit! However old unwanted files are always Inside the folder "sources" after removing some images. If we keep only Windows 7 ULTIMATE, those files aren't useful (example): install_Windows 7 STARTER.clg install_Windows 7 HOMEBASIC.clg install_Windows 7 HOMEPREMIUM.clg install_Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL.clg Regards

  13. The warning I'm talking about is the one attached, reffering to the possible errors generated by some (?) hotfixes in the Additionals folder from McRip servers. I suggest to remove / improve this vague warning, that may scare users away from the hotfixes in the Additional area (as the useful IE10 and probably soon the Satisfy WU hotfixes). Solution A - the quick solution - add this warning only when KB2592687 is loaded in AIO, as this is the only hotfix that can make windows install process go bananas. See detailed thread here, it can generate errors even without its prerequisite. Solution B - the ''complete'' solution, with three sub-requests. This covers ALL pro…

  14. As I've said here (sorry for beeing offtopic there), please: 1. Implement only the updates found in the official article from Microsoft as IE10 prerequisites. 2. Make a pop-up warning window for novice users when detecting IE10, to make sure all those five updates are also integrated. 2'. Would be very good if this screen won't appear if those updates are also present (redundant warning), but I don't want to complicate things code-wise, this part is only optional.

  15. So few requests: *A current "Bugs/Issues" tab So at a glance we can see what current non fixable bugs/issues there are such as: ttp://www.wincert.net/forum/topic/11132-updates-integration-issue/ *Advanced Component Remover Presets Like with the AIO Remover can the saving and loading of presets be extended to this, it would be so useful and time saving! Also curious as to why this is different to AIO Remover it seems to detect different lists.

  16. Hi, i don't understand why i cannot choose different entry from different presets. Lets say two different presets and i want options and installers from first preset and updates and addons from a seconds one. I cannot see any reason why that shouldn't work. Why is that not possible? @Lego please make it possible if possible EDIT: WTK 1.4.1.15 Greetz X23

Hi, it would be nice to have the possibility to create profiles in WTK. For example: Lets say i have 3 cases of different Software to install. So a menu where i can define profiles like: work, work2, private. Then when i add Silent Installers and SFX an option is needed to say this belongs to profile work and/or work2 and/or private. Then when Installer appears i dont need to choose out of a list lets say 100 product, i then only choose one of the profiles. That would be much more comfortable and is easy to realize for lego, all it needs is the form where to define profiles (save them), then the addition to choose the profiles a software belongs to while adding …

An idea came to me while reading another thread (you could probably guess which one). Would it be possible to modify the manner in which WinToolKit runs the silent installers? By this I mean instead of using the "RunOnce" registration key to launch all of the installers, use only one to start the process. The "process" would read a text file (in the currently used apps folder) that has each installer listed (one per line) with its necessary parameters. In addition, I believe that WinToolKit has more than one mode of installation (all, minimal, etc), so more than one text file can be used for each mode. Reasoning behind this request: What is currently in place is a …

I wonder if you can do a little automatization on sorting Office updates. As you already noticed there are some language dependent updates and some independent. Can you make the downloader to group the dependent updates in each his language folder? So the folder structure would be: - McRip Office 2010 Post-SP1 x86 - 00 - x-none - en-us - fr-fr - ro-ro - etc. Than make an option (probably in the settings somwhere) to show/download only the selected languages. That would solve some problems 1. save space on hard drive (If you don't need some language than don't download at all) 2. save bandwidth 3. no need to tick one by one your la…

  23. Hi, is it possible to add an acoustic notification if the installer appears and asks me to choose what to install? My win 7 installation is fully automated the only thing i have to do is choosing the pakets. What would be cool is: - Use of internal speaker - No Alarm like Atom Bomb is coming, something recognizable but no heart attack. - In the moment the mouse clicks first or a key is pressed alarm is stopped. @Lego What do you think about it? Anyone else? Greetz X23

Hi, Would it be possible to have more information about what's going on when Component Removal does its magic, something like the Step-by-step Integration option of the AIO Integrator?
